A vendor who parked his buns on Central Park West a decade ago and hasn't moved since has become a 24-hour hot-dog hotel, disgusted neighbors say.And if you dare criticize him, he'll roast you with racism.
"He's there 24/7, day and night. It's a pig sty," said neighbor Reinhart Nitzl of the fixture on the corner of West 86th Street. "I see that guy sleeping in there."
But the dog-slinging cart owner, Mohamed Abdalla, a native of Egypt, claims the clamor is just an anti-Muslim conspiracy.
Sounding like he knows a thing or two about bigotry, Abdalla, 60, ranted that his cart is opposed by "homosexuals," "Jewish people," ignorant bureaucrats, "rich people" and freebie-seeking doormen.
"The people at the Health Department are not educated, and it's a blessing to them that they get a job," Abdalla told The Post. "When the Jewish people complain, they say, F--k Mohamed. Who's stronger?" [...]
Abdalla, of Queens, claims he moves his silver meat mobile at 3 a.m. for cleaning, though residents and doormen insist it's rooted to the ground. Post photographers also spotted the cart on successive nights last week in the wee hours.
Over the years, the Health Department has hit him with $20,000 in tickets, he claimed.
The agency said it has issued the cart 72 violations since 2000. The truck was most recently slapped with violations for keeping food -- like eggs -- at the wrong temperatures, improper hand-washing facilities and serving foods that were spoiled or home-canned.

He carries a 2006 letter from retired Appellate Division Judge and former Assemblyman Bentley Kassal, who apparently wrote, "I understand he's being challenged and criticized only because of his ethnic background, and I find that to be unfair, undignified and, above all, un-American."
Councilwoman Gale Brewer said she helped him with violations years ago -- but was horrified when informed of his hateful rants. "That's abhorrent," she said.
Abdalla said building workers taunt that he "works for bin Laden" and demand free coffee, pastries and hot dogs.
"I told them this is not Iraq," he said. "I'm an American citizen."
When he doesn't give freebies, they threaten to call the city's 311 hot line, he said, to file bogus complaints. "If you don't give us free, we're going to tell everybody that you have cockroaches in your coffee cup," he said.
Abdalla also complained that "a homosexual" makes passes at his night worker.
"The gay guy, he come and he want to make love to the man . . . and he touch his penis . . . I told him get the f--k out of here . . . We're Arab. We don't go this way."

What does this have to do with jihad or counter-jihad? The only issue appears to be that NYC has a hot-dog vendor who's violating a number of rules.
And, while we're at it, why accuse everyone who appears to be Middle Eastern of supporting UBL? And, if gays approached him soliciting unwanted sex, the guy has my sympathy when he turns them down, even if I'd never buy a hot dog from him in a million years.
There are real jihadi activities out there, and slimy character assassination by the MSM to combat. Why bother about one violator of the health code who, since he sells food that is probably not halal, probably is only nominally Muslim?

What it has to do with jihad is that, over the years, a number of Moslem food-preparation workers have been prosecuted -- both in the U.S. and the U.K. -- for attempting to sicken people by mixing human excrement with food; the Moslem pizza-maker who included bits of human s**t in his pizzas is one example who comes to mind.
The likelihood that the food is not halal makes it all the more likely that he doesn't poison any of his co-religionists.

Is this the beginning of a Lebanization of England? Either way, even if the secular world is preserved from primitive groups, and religious fanatics with power ambitions (Sharia), the West will not be enriched by it, but made poorer for having brought in hostiles into their midst. Like in the Middle Ages, Europe and the West will adopt a 'bunker' mentality hiding behind real and virtual fortifications to hold back the barbaric hostiles looting and burning, tearing society apart. I do somewhat agree with you about this not being a jihad issue. I mean, he has a hot dog stand for heavens sake. Hardly halal. However, I do think his behavior speaks to the larger debate issue. The west wants to have a civilized debate with rules and the middle east wants to scream loud enough to drown out the west. Its one more way we don't see eye to eye.
I like islamaware also. It has a nice ring to it.

I see your point, Robert (and those of others). Still, could it just be that this guy is still fundamentally a violator of city health codes and little else rather than a real jihadist? I mean, anyone can latch onto the "victim" card. I read about some cannibal in Montana who kidnapped and ate some kids, and when they arrested him, he charged the authorities with picking on him because he was Jewish (he wasn't, BTW).

There was a TV program on a few nights ago about parasitic and other infections worldwide; it seems that in muslim countries these are super-prevalent due to the fact that people wipe their backsides with their hand and then eat with those same hands at communal meals with communal dishes being passed. Personally, I avoid like the plague any restaurant, take-away, run by muslims, pakis, or arabs.
The number of these places that have been closed down by Health and Safety because of their filthy kitchens, and cooking practices, would make your stomach turn. Pakis and arabs have no idea of hygiene or cleanliness. And yes, they *always* whine they're being discriminated against.
I love a good curry, but I make them at home, using ingredients from Sainsbury's !
