Pakistan: Kidnapped Christian woman, forced to convert to Islam and marry a Muslim, escapes

Arifa Alfred got away, and is now telling the world of her ordeal. May all who remain captives, including Farah Hatim, and Saba and Anila Masih, find their way to freedom as well, to the frustration and shame of their captors. "Pakistan: Christian kidnapped, tortured for 2 years; false conversion to Islam," from Catholic Culture, August 19 (thanks to Twostellas):

A Pakistani Christian woman who was abducted in 2009 has escaped from her captor.
After Arifa Alfred, 27, was drugged and kidnapped in central Pakistan, she awoke and was shown papers stating that she had converted to Islam and married her captor. After two years of torture, she escaped on August 1.

Many other such cases involving Christian and Hindu girls in Pakistan continue to go unreported, as the Bishop of Islamabad has warned the kidnappings have become a common practice.

“I am a Christian and have always remained steadfast in my Christian faith and continued to pray to Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary in my heart for liberation during these two years of imprisonment,” she said.
Following her escape, Alfred brought the matter to the attention of police. The police inspector praised her for converting to Islam and has not pursued the case. Alfred and her family now fear for their lives.

Along with the problem of complicit police and undoubtedly enraged captors, Alfred is now officially an apostate from Islam, which carries the death penalty under Sharia according to Muhammad's own command.

Our gracious host, in this case Marisol, writes, "May all who remain captives, including Farah Hatim, and Saba and Anila Masih, find their way to freedom....'

I have to ask, "Where are they going to go?"

Mairson concludes: "Alfred is now officially an apostate from Islam, which carries the death penalty under Sharia according to Muhammad's own command."

This girl stands a fair chance of being murdered. Where is she going to go? Who's going to help her get away from the Muslims who will kill her if they can? Are you going to do anything, dear reader? What on earth would that be? If you have any answer that means something in the real world, let me know. I'm happy to try to help you make that happen.

The link here will take you to a further link to a video about a man who actually does something more than nothing. The video is about Sam Childers, late of Penn. state. He was a low-life scum-bag who deserved to be shot for his antics. Maybe it takes that kind of man to do right in the world. Maybe others have a lot to lose and can't do the right thing because it would cost too much, and Childers had zero to lose. It's probably hard to like a man like this, but it shouldn't be too hard to try to help him help others if you can't help yourself.

We need a whole nation for refugees from Islam. We need an orphanage for adults with nowhere else to go. People are being murdered just because they are Christians. They need a place to go to, and they need help getting there. Childers does some good work, from what we see in the video. We could do some good work too, if we cared to. Or we can do nothing, and this girl, countless others as well, can die and we can keep on typing about our inner torments and rages about outrages. Maybe we have too much to lose.

No compulsion in religion. Yeah, right.

And, if she and her family came to the U.S. to avoid the fatwa against her, would she be safe here?

Voice of the Martyrs is one ministry that is helpful in this regard. I'm quite sure there are others, as well. Thing is, the work they do, and how they go about doing it, is kept pretty much under the radar for obvious reasons. I'm sure they could use our help. Our family has been making contributions, albiet small, for several years.I encourage others to check them out.

I hope this link will take you directly to the video on Sam Childers. If not, please go to the link above to watch.

That link works for me. I have to hit the left hand arrow at the bottom to make it play. It's 15 minutes long.

Very interesting sonofwalker, Sir.

Good day to you, London Jim. I'm glad you find the video interesting.

I've had in mind for some time now, a year or more, to move myself to South Sudan to attempt to create a zone for Christian refugees, if such a thing is possible there. The benefit is not merely to those who escape with their lives from Islamic hell-holes and have, perchance, some hope of a life at all and one that could be good, but it is a potential opportunity for the nation itself to accumulate what one might call "Human Capital."

At the risk of seeming to offend any landlords here, I will take a moment to disparage the idea of "rent." I do this to set up a tale of woe that we know as Islam.

Rent is the usual Islamic way of getting by in the world, whether it be from oil or from slavery. Rent is what I, a non-economist, would term "super-normal return on uncreated investment," by which I mean that one adds gain to something one has not made but has merely harvested, the labour value being the only input, assuming that means technology as well as time and lost opportunity. For example, rent, as I understand it, is finding a group of people and selling them into slavery just because one has the power and will to do so, gaining immensely in the process. Beyond the initial investment in the tools of force and violence, there is no creative input. One just takes. There's minimal capital involved for the gain entailed. This is true in its way, if I may weasel out of economics, of oil extraction. Yes, it does cost great fortunes to discover and refine and ship oil; but the oil itself costs nothing. No one makes oil. We don't "manufacture" oil, as in make with our hands. It's there, and it costs to get it. This is not so of, for example, grain, which has to be created through farming. It is so of forestry, assuming there is not tree farming involved. It is mostly the anti-labour bias of Islam to "seek rent." Taxation is a form of rent, I think. Jizya and zakat and are rent. Muslims often tend toward such "easy money." It leads to what we think of as violations of property, specifically in terms of human dignity, i.e. as slavery and dhimmitude and devshirme in the Ottoman case. No one, even Muslims, can maintain a system based on continuous theft; thus they legitimise theft by ritualising and sacralising it as shari'a compliant. Muslims can steal from others and be legitimate moral people in the same way that one can harvest a virgin forest in an unclaimed land because trees and other people have no legitimate claim against it. It's not only corrupt and evil. It is also self-defeating, leading to what economist call the Dutch Disease. It makes people lazy and stupid.

In economics, the Dutch disease is a concept that purportedly explains the apparent relationship between the increase in exploitation of natural resources and a decline in the manufacturing sector. The claimed mechanism is that an increase in revenues from natural resources (or inflows of foreign aid) will make a given nation's currency stronger compared to that of other nations (manifest in an exchange rate), resulting in the nation's other exports becoming more expensive for other countries to buy, making the manufacturing sector less competitive. While it most often refers to natural resource discovery, it can also refer to "any development that results in a large inflow of foreign currency, including a sharp surge in natural resource prices, foreign assistance, and foreign direct investment".[1]

The term was coined in 1977 by The Economist to describe the decline of the manufacturing sector in the Netherlands after the discovery of a large natural gas field in 1959.[2]

The currently divided Sudan has oil. There is likely to be some dispute over ownership of the oil fields. If I were the South Sudanese, I'd let it go and laugh at the sickness it brings to the Muslim north. Rather than fight for the easy "rent" that oil represents, I would focus on the human capital that one might create through immigration and self-improvement of the local stock. I would "manufacture" a thinking, working, creative work-force of permanent residents who could, probably would, negotiate and innovate their way from abject poverty to standards comparable to those one finds in Israel today, with continuous improvement. No lazy people bringing in Western workers to drill for oil, thereby gaining immense wealth for nothing but being on the land when the money fell on it; rather, like the Jews, one finds a desert dotted with malarial swamps and creates Israel from it. The perfect example is to stand on a hilltop overlooking Eilat, Israel and
Aqaba, Jordan to see the immeasurable difference between labour and rent, between high-rise gleaming office towers and mud and wattle huts.

Herodotus gives us a beautiful piece of insight into rent and the Muslim mind, some years prior, of course:

[L]et us leave this small and barren country of ours and take possession of a better. There are plenty to choose from-- some near, some further off; if we take one of them, we shall be admired more than ever....

Cyrus did not think much of this suggestion; he replied that they might act upon it if they pleased, but added the warning that, if they did so, they must prepare themselves to rule no longer, but to be ruled by others. 'Soft countries,' he said, 'breed soft men. It is not the property of any one soil to produce fine fruits and good soldiers too.' The Persians had to admit that this was true and that Cyrus was wiser than they; so they left him, and chose instead to live in a rugged land and rule than to cultivate rich plains and be slaves.

Herodotus, The Histories. Trans. Aubrey de Selincourt. Harmondsworth: Penguin Books; 1965; p. 599.

It's not shocking to us that Muslims are weak. They rely on slave labour and theft to fuel their cultures. A journalist whose name escapes me at the moment (_Castles in the Sand_?)writes that in the 1950s the king of Saudi Arabia travelled with the entire treasury to the kingdom in a chest on a donkey. The Saudi treasury was filled by the sale of dates and pilgrimage fees. They made nothing, did little to nothing, and were poor. Now, with oil, they do less and are rich. The worse for them.

Sam Childers has moved from dealing drugs and pub brawling to working-- and fighting-- as a missionary in Sudan. He is, in a significant fashion, immense human capital. He brings to the nation something of his own, a talent for organisation, social networks, personal energy, and more, that others do not have, or do not use in the same way. This is true of other (potential) immigrants, I think, who could, just by being themselves, transform South Sudan into a parallel of South Korea or Italy.

According to an encyclopedia I have somewhere, the standard of living in Italy 100 years ago was comparable to that of
Egypt at the same time. It's not the "race" or the place, it's the people's will to power unleashed from bondage and, in this case, from the threat or worse, of murder by Muslims. Indian shop-keepers and Filipino mechanics and so on from others around the Muslim-oppressed world could transform South Sudan, for example, into a new Zion. It takes input from people. It takes new ideas that oft times arrive in the form of new people to invigorate an old land. America is not going to welcome 100 million refugees for dar al Islam. South Sudan could, if the people choose a better life over xenophobia. It could be the United States of South Sudan. It could be a Christian Zion. The only losers will be Muslims, stagnating, resentful, irredentist, and psychotic that yet another land has left them in the dust. Let them drink oil.

Hard-working, clever, diligent, and free people are capital beyond measure. Somewhere there must be a place for them to live and thrive, and blessed be the place that will have them. I think they are Christians oppressed, if not outright murdered, by Muslims. Maybe South Sudan will welcome such people. If not, there must be a place elsewhere. Somewhere.

son of walker's idea is a good one for the longer term, but in the short term I would encourage Ms Alfred and her family to seek asylum at the Polish Embassy and at the Italian Embassy.

After all, the Vatican was able to persuade Italy to take in that Afghan apostate from Islam to Christianity.

There are still way too many Mohammedans in Italy - though there are some prominent apostates such as Magdi Cristiano Allam, and quite a lot of much-less-prominent apostates in a 'church of the catacombs' (Allam's own phrase) - but even so, Italy would be safer than Pakistan.

She's a good Catholic girl: she could be tucked away safely inside a convent somewhere in the hills. And she wouldn't stand out that much: dark hair, dark eyes and olive skin is as much Italian as it is Pakistani.

My guess is that canon law would regard her as not having been married at all; she was not married, she was kidnapped, enslaved, and repeatedly raped.

And like I said, she should try her luck with the Poles as well. A devout, steadfast Catholic girl like her should be welcomed with open arms. There aren't very many Muslims in Poland and a good few Poles still remember Jan Sobieski.

I encourage any Italian jihadwatchers who may be lurking here, to write to Il Papa and to their government as well, on behalf of Ms Alfred and her family - good Catholics who need to be got out of Pakistan.

Oh, and it's time to seriously start campaigning against letting into the West - or any other part of the non-Muslim world - any MUSLIM 'immigrants' from either Pakistan or Egypt, just for starters. Why bring in even one Mohammedan male from any country where way too many Mohammedan males feel entitled to openly seize, kidnap, rape, forcibly 'marry' and forcibly declare to be 'Muslim' the women of non-Muslim communities?

Ms Alfred's story (like so many, many, many other stories of Hindu and Christian girls in Pakistan who have suffered similarly or worse) is a very good argument against permitting *any* Mohammedan from Pakistan to immigrate to the West. (Similar stories from Egypt are a good argument for banning the entry to the West of Egyptian Mohammedans).

Ms Alfred's story reminds me of this story: the story of one Hannah Menashe, a Jewish girl from Iraq.

http://www.ynetnews.com/Ext/Comp/ArticleLayout/CdaArticlePrintPreview/1,2506,L-3554723,00.html

Passage from Iraq

Hannah Menashe was only 21 when she was abducted from her family in Baghdad ahead of their immigration to Israel. Decades later, Hanna is finally making aliyah to reunite with her family who had lost hope of ever seeing her again
Itamar Eichner

'Fifty-five years after **she was abducted from her family's home in Baghdad by her Muslim neighbor and forced to renounce her Judaism,** [my emphasis - dda] Hannah Menashe managed to flee Iraq and find her way to one of Israel’s European embassies.

'Her long, exhausting journey is finally coming to an end these days, as she will soon be reunited with he family in Israel, who thought her murdered all these years.

'Hannah’s fascinating {not the word I'd choose: I'd say, 'harrowing' and 'heartbreaking' - dda} story begins in the 1950s, when her Baghdad-native family – parents and seven siblings – decided to immigrate to Israel.

'Hannah, **already married to a Jewish Iraqi** {nota bene - dda; Muslims feel totally entitled to seize **married women**; the sharia says it's perfectly okay to have sex with [non-muslim] married women if they are 'captives that your right hand possesses'] was also planning to make aliyah, when fate struck:

'A Muslim neighbor, who was aware of the family’s plans to immigrate, kidnapped the striking Hannah to keep her by his side.

Thug. Rapist. Kidnapper. Slaver. Ugly, ugly, ugly Islam.

'Her siblings only have a vague recollection of that horrible day. They went looking for Hannah, they say, but the earth had swallowed her.

'Decades passed, the siblings made aliyah and the family expanded, all the while keeping their bitter secret to themselves. Shortly after arriving in Israel, Hannah’s mother died at 37, her heart broken by losing her child.

'Six months ago, out of the blue, the family received a surprising phone call. The woman on the other side of the line was Ravit Topol from the Ministry of Interior, with an extraordinary story she was looking to verify.

'It turns out Hannah had been forced to become a Muslim [she never 'became a Muslim'; like Ms Alfred, she recited the shahada by rote with a scimitar at her throat, but her heart was never in it - dda] and had raised her neighbor’s children for 50 years.

'No one in the Baghdad neighborhood knew about her secret or her Jewish roots, **and she was afraid her husband [her 'husband'? - NO! her kidnapper, her slave-master, her tormentor, her rapist - dda] would kill her if she tried to contact her siblings** {my emphasis - dda. But at least, all her family and presumably her real husband being safely in Israel, her rapist/kidnapper couldn't threaten *them* in the way that Ms Alfred's captors probably threatened *her* family - dda}

'When her husband died a year ago, the now 76-year-old Hannah escaped Baghdad under the guise of being a war refugee. She was able to reach Europe through an Arab country and decided to locate an Israeli embassy.

'“I am Jewish, I want to go to Israel,” she said in fluent Arabic and with great excitement.
'The embassy found it hard to believe her story; but when she named her relatives in Israel, the embassy officials realized the truly incredible nature of the story unfolding before their very eyes and quickly contacted the Ministry of Interior’s population administration.'

And so Hannah went home.

SURE she'd be safe here!

She'd have to avoid moving into a pakistani (or any other muslim) community but we've got LOADS OF THEM that still are untouched by islam. Hell, if she went to California and never wore her head covered everyone would think she's either mexican or just some other exotic beauty. I'm assuming she's beautiful... I can't see why anyone would go out of their way to kidnap an ugly girl and force her to marry them. LOL

Yes, one good-looking young woman might move to California and go native, as it were; but what about, to be tactless, the ugly girls? What about the rest who are neither here nor there and make no impression on anyone but the people who might love them? And let's consider that we might well be speaking about 100 million of them? Even California has a limit to its idiot tolerance of how many illegal aliens it will take. They'd notice 100 million people showing up on the coast seeking asylum.

Christians, to beat this to death, need a whole nation to go to. They can't be barely tolerated illegal aliens to exploit. They have to be the nation as fully as natives. This ain't hardly gonna fly among pastoralists and peasants. One must find an accommodation for those natives who will resent and probably attempt to wipe out the newcomers. Consider, too, that such resentment and extermination is something leftards will celebrate. It's not just the natives one must deal with; it is the fascist Left that poses a greater danger to freedom and life-seeking peoples. The very latte-sipping non-profit social worker will be in a froth over Indians setting up shops in the desert, and he will be doing everything in his power to ensure that such people are terrorised and murdered. To have a free nation and secure, one must resolve to struggle. California (generically/metaphorically) is as much the enemy as Islam.

As far as Pakistan goes, the total number of people there is estimated at 200 million, almost all of them Muslims.

The Hindu population is estimated to be around 2.3 million, the Sikh population numbers in the tens of thousands, and the Christian population is around 3 to 4 million - which is a long, long way short of 100 million.

I doubt there would be 100 million Christians in the whole of dar al Islam, all put together.

How many Copts are there in Egypt? - 8 to 10 million and that's the single largest population within the 'Arab Muslim' world, by a long, long way. The number of Christians in central Asia is negligible.

Indonesia's total population is a bit under that of the USA - some 240 million compared to the 300 million of the USA.

Indonesia has about 34 million Christians, mostly concentrated in places like the Sunda Islands and West Papua, which could conceivably split off from Indonesia just as Timor Lorosae has done, to become free non-Muslim countries - into which, conceivably, Christians from the rest of the archipelago could flee. (Bali - 3.4 million people - is majority-Hindu - 92 % and again, could become a separate non-Muslim state).

Malaysia has about 2 million Christians. It would not be inconceivable for Sabah and Sarawak to leave the confederation, and set up as secular non-Muslim states (Christian, Chinese-Buddhist and animist), evicting the Muslims into Peninsular Malaysia; the geographical distinction between the Peninsula on the one hand and the island of Borneo, on the other, is quite marked and makes for a logical fault line.
