Well done Mr. Woods. Your analysis proves beyond a reasonable doubt the nexus between the liberal left and Islam. For surely, any number of these liberal MSM types could have reached the same conclusions if they were being honest with themselves. However, their ideological blinkers prevent them from doing so. Seems to me, any ideology that prevents honesty within oneself should be questioned, be it liberalism or islamism.

I'm a bit lighter on the main stream media than most of the people here. I tend to go with Occam's Razor, and assume that most writers on Islamic activity in the media have very little idea of what they're talking about. So, throw in 2 hours research on the internet on past New York Times and Newsweek articles, a pinch of politically-correct assumptions, and a few quotes from each "side" to cover your bases, and you have the gist of most background pieces. The common traits are ignorance and mental laziness.
David Woods provided a comprehensive, logically-tight, and most importantly, a very easy-to-watch, easy to understand case on exactly why anti-Jihadist authors and bloggers have virtually nothing to do with Breivik's thinking or actions.
Paradoxically, contrary to Breivik's delusions, anti-Muslim immigration sentiment is picking up on both sides of the Atlantic, and more and more people and politicians are publicly expressing the dangers of modifying our public institutions to conform to Sharia principles. Breivik's logic broke down because, like most narcissistic sociopaths, his real interest was in glorifying himself, and his real fury came from the fact that he didn't get the type of recognition that he thought was his right.
In fact, Breivik clearly had access to put his ideas on the internet. His manifesto was available to anyone who he convinced to look at it. Breivik simply resented having to go through the trouble that politicians and bloggers routinely face: convince people that your ideas are worth looking at. So, his murder of Norwegians was not even a result of Breivik's suppression by the media, but rather his unwillingness, or lack of capacity, to effectively communicate with other people on any terms but his own.

Breivik says he began planning a violent attack in 1999. Spencer didn't start blogging till 2003. Spencer has never supported violence and has regularly rejected it.
Breivik says he decided on violence when he concluded that the mainstream media and political establishment of Europe suppress open discussion of Islam-critics' views, and instead ostracize, vilify, and persecute Islam critics. (I note that Islam-critics have gotten fired, sued and hauled into court by governments and private individuals, and fined substantial sums. Their views are often demonized.)
Breivik quotes John F. Kennedy's statement that "Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."
Like David Wood, I'm inclined to blame Breivik himself for his evil homicidal behavior. But if the media insists on playing the blame game on others, why not blame the media, which Breivik points out has suppressed Islam-critics' views? Why not blame John F. Kennedy, who said suppression of peaceful revolution makes violent revolution inevitable?
Because much of the media would rather use Breivik's innocent victims as tools, as Breivik used them. Tools to further the biased agenda of much of the media.

i must admit, it is a very thin line to not condone breivik's killings on one hand, yet to fully understand where he is coming from and to advocate, (as i have on many other ocasions) a swift and disproportional punishment directed to any musloid offences, on the other.

Yes, I think I have got it now. A. There ARE indeed anti-Democratic, oppressive, terroristic acts, done by Muslims-demonstrably-inspired-by-Islam. B. There are victims and abhorred observers. C. Before democracy, freedom of speech were widespread the only reactions of victims/ observers to atrocious deeds by perpetrators was craven submission or desperate violent response.

I think there's much to be said about what I have called the "Orprahfication" of Modernity. A clearer way of putting it is a descent into sentimentality and sanctimony among those who have a lack of "character." All that character would give a man is replaced with phoniness and poses and surface. One adopts an "identity" over a core of character that one is.
I look, for example, at Christians and see that regardless of what the personality might drive them to, if they serve the faith properly they can serve themselves better by doing so. In the case of Breivik, for example, he had no core to restrain him from carnage and vanity. He might well have been a violent man by nature, but the core character one can develop from a decent religion gives one, and maybe him, a cap on his inner daemon. When one acts alone, one acts outside the bounds of reality. One is a gnostic, a pretender to godliness. I have asked the same rhetorical questions many times, although I know the answers. I'm not planning to execute a terrorist attack on the globalist multiculturalists and moral relativists who are deliberately, systematically destroying Western Civilization by saturating Western countries with incompatible, unassimilable, third-world immigrants and 'refugees'.
