The problem is that Pamela Geller's ads call the Palestinian jihadis "savage." But the word is well chosen, as she explains: "Everyone is shocked (shocked, I tell ya) by the use of the word savage for savages. The targeting of civilians is savage. The relentless 60-year campaign of terror against the Jewish people is savage. The torture of hostage Gilad Shalit is savage. The bloody hacking to death of the Fogel family is savage. Munich was savage. The unspeakable torture of Ehud Goldwasser is savage. The tens of thousands of rockets fired from Gaza into Southern Israel (into schools, homes, etc.) are savage. The vicious Jew-hatred behind this genocide is savage. The endless demonization of the Jewish people in the Pali and Arab media is savage. The refusal to recognize the state of Israel as a Jewish state is savage. The list is endless."
I don't understand why the MTA is against Israel and Pamela Geller and siding with the jihadist. Now, I truly feel like I'm living in bizarro's world.
A very good point made well by Ms Geller. However, if the MTA is not going to be even handed in their advertising policy, then Ms Geller's ad should be integrated into a flyer that can be printed in 1,000s and handed to people as they enter the subway system.
That way, the message can still be distributed despite the MTA's anti-semitic stance.
"Savage" indeed! When you compare everything we understand of history about primitive savages to Radical Islamists, the word "savage" is really the only word that completely fits. Our modern warfighters are restrained by our military leaders from effectively fighting such an enemy.
It's not only racist, but has all the stinky of political correctness all about it. I wonder if they'll put up any posters of the thousands of Palistinians, immediately after Obama's speech, just 100 yards away from crossing over into the Israeli border throwing stones and malatof cocktails at them? Yeah, I know that's fantacy.
