Reza Aslan lies about mosques preaching hate in America and much more

RezaAslanNov1810.jpg

Islamic supremacist stealth moderate Reza Aslan lies so many times in this interview that it is clear that lying is something he has practiced extensively and honed as a craft.

"Reza Aslan: Expert in Exile," by Aaron Ross in Mother Jones, September 23:

Mother Jones: You've argued that anti-Muslim sentiment in the US has gotten significantly worse of late, especially within the last few years. Why do you think that is?

Reza Aslan: This is the great irony of course. Despite the previous administration's demonization of Islam, the truth is that in the United States during the early part of the Bush years, anti-Muslim sentiment was not nearly at the levels that it is today. Certainly there are a number of reasons for this, but as we now know, there has been a well-organized and deliberate attempt by a very small group of individuals, funded by a handful of foundations to the tune of 40 million dollars to convince Americans that Islam is the enemy.

There are indeed "a number of reasons for this," including Naser Abdo, the would-be second Fort Hood jihad mass murderer; and Khalid Aldawsari, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Lubbock, Texas; and Muhammad Hussain, the would-be jihad bomber in Baltimore; and Mohamed Mohamud, the would-be jihad bomber in Portland; and Nidal Hasan, the successful Fort Hood jihad mass-murderer; and Faisal Shahzad, the would-be Times Square jihad mass-murderer; and Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Arkansas military recruiting station jihad murderer; and Naveed Haq, the jihad mass murderer at the Jewish Community Center in Seattle; and Mohammed Reza Taheri-Azar, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the would-be Christmas airplane jihad bomber; and so many other Islamic jihad murderers and would-be murderers in America, all of whom (along with many others) were inspired and motivated, by their own admission, by Islamic texts and teachings.

And regarding the "very small group of individuals, funded by a handful of foundations to the tune of 40 million dollars to convince Americans that Islam is the enemy," Aslan doesn't bother to mention that the $40 million figure covers a period of nine years and several different organizations. He gets his figure from the Center for American Progress's "Islamophobia" report, about which Daniel Pipes notes: "It's pretty rich that CAP, on organization whose 2009 budget was $38,187,695, focuses on 8 organizations receiving about that sum over a period of 9 years."

MJ: You appeared on an ABC special in October called "Should Americans Fear Islam?" alongside Robert Spencer of the anti-Islam site Jihad Watch and Rev. Franklin Graham, who's called Islam "wicked." Why did you agree to do that?

RA: When Christiane [Amanpour] asked me to be on the show I said I would be happy to do so. Then a couple of days before the show, when they told me that one of the panelists was going to be Robert Spencer, and that Pamela Geller was going to be invited to speak, I said, "I'm out." I have no interest in legitimizing these fringe individuals and organizations by pretending that they belong in a debate about Islam. As I said to Christiane, "If we were having a debate on race in America, would you invite members of the KKK?"

This is the Big Lie of the Left and the Islamic supremacists like Aslan: that any critical stance toward Islamic jihad and Islamic supremacism in the U.S. constitutes hatred and bigotry on par with the Ku Klux Klan. By this means they are trying to discredit and marginalize everyone who dares to stand up against the Islamic supremacist agenda. And certainly they've had great success, due to the cowardice and pusillanimity of many on the Right.

But in any case, the comparison of me to the KKK is just propaganda without substance; my work has always been in defense of human rights -- the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and the equality of rights of all people before the law -- and neither Reza Aslan nor anyone else cannot produce and never has produced any statement of mine that is genuinely hateful, racist, bigoted, or anything but accurate about Islam and the jihad threat. So since Aslan cannot answer me, he tries to destroy my reputation.

And she not only withdrew the invitation to Pamela Geller, but she assured me that I would get an opportunity to really call Spencer on the bullshit that he peddles in the guise of academic research.

Here Aslan is lying yet again. In fact, Pamela Geller was never invited on to this show. There was no invitation to withdraw.

Note also the "objectivity" of "journalist" Amanpour, who promised him he would have an opportunity to smear me. And he did: at one point Amanpour mentioned that I was co-founder of Stop Islamization of America, but instead of going to me for comment, or even to ask me some pointed question, she said that Aslan had background on the roots of the Stop Islamization movement in Europe, and went to him. Aslan then lied outright, claiming that the movement was neo-Nazi, and slinging charge after unsubstantiated charge that I was a bigot, a hatemonger, a racist, a pseudo-scholar, an eater of babies, etc. When I tried to respond, Amanpour put her finger to her lips and shushed me, although I went on anyway -- however, I later learned that my mic had been cut off and none of my responses made the broadcast version.

He's churning out these completely made-up statistics about how 80 percent of mosques in the US are preaching radicalism, whereas the fact-checkers and the producers and the reporters at ABC themselves on camera said that there are simply no research whatsoever that backs up that claim.

"No research whatsoever." Not "research that we don't trust," or "research we don't believe," but "no research whatsoever." Aslan lies all the time, even when he doesn't have to: he could have said he didn't trust these studies. But he is saying they don't exist. Here are the facts:

In 1998, Sheikh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, a Sufi leader, visited 114 mosques in the United States. Then he gave testimony before a State Department Open Forum in January 1999, and asserted that 80% of American mosques taught the "extremist ideology."

Then there was the Center for Religious Freedom's 2005 study, and the Mapping Sharia Project's 2008 study. Each independently showed that upwards of 80% of mosques in America were preaching hatred of Jews and Christians and the necessity ultimately to impose Islamic rule.

And in the summer of 2011, after the Amanpour show, came another study showing that only 19% of mosques in U.S. don't teach jihad violence and/or Islamic supremacism.

But, next thing you know, here's Peter King in his discussions about why the US Congress needs to have hearings on the radicalization of American Muslims, and his reasoning was that 80 percent of mosques in the US are breeding radicalism. That gives you an understanding of how this Islamophobia industry works. You find a pseudo-scholar to make pseudo-scholarship claims, those claims get picked up by politicians and by Fox News, and they become part of the American dialogue about Islam....

Indeed, because they were accurate, unlike anything Reza Aslan says. Aslan is one of the most unsavory and dishonest Islamic supremacist spokesmen on the scene today. Despite his pretentious puffery and literary mummery, he has revealed himself to be a arrogant gutter-minded buffoon who appears incapable of staking out or defending a coherent intellectual position, and instead retails tired and oft-retreaded Islamic supremacist talking points about Muslim victimhood.

His Islamic supremacist ties and proclivities are becoming more ill-concealed by the day; nonetheless, he remains a heralded and media-saturated "moderate" Muslim. In reality, Aslan is a Board member of the National Iranian American Council, a group that genuine Iranian pro-democracy forces regard as an apologetic vehicle for the Islamic Republic of Iran. He has tried to pass off Iran's genocidally-minded President Ahmadinejad as a liberal reformer. He has called on the U.S. Government to negotiate with Ahmadinejad himself, as well as with Hamas -- that is, with two of the most barbaric and murderous adherents of Sharia.

Aslan has even praised the jihad terror group Hizballah as "the most dynamic political and social organization in Lebanon," as well as the Jew-hating, women-hating, kuffar-hating Muslim Brotherhood, which is dedicated in its own words to "eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within" -- including, presumably, the works of Andy Warhol. Aslan wrote: "The Muslim Brotherhood will have a significant role to play in post-Mubarak Egypt. And that is good thing." If, in 1932, someone had written that "the National Socialist Party will have a significant role to play in post-Weimar Germany, and that is a good thing," he would have rightly been called a Nazi sympathizer.

Aslan has also spoken at events sponsored by the Muslim Students Association, a Brotherhood group, and at an event co-sponsored by the Los Angeles chapter of Hamas-linked CAIR, and moderated by the notorious Edina Lekovic, the Muslim Public Affairs Council flack whom Steve Emerson caught lying on national television, denying she was editor of a Muslim student publication that praised Osama bin Laden as a great mujahid. Emerson produced copies of the rag showing Lekovic's name on the masthead as editor on the very same page on which the praise for Osama appeared.

Amanpour, Amanpour. exPrez Clit'on's fave broad caster.

Telling lies to advance the cause of Islam is allowed by Islam. Aslan is a Muslim, therefore Aslan lies to advance the cause of Islam.

It's as simple as that! And he's a clown!

AS I always say, Muslims are liars and nothing less is expected from these clowns. And our clueless media merrily goes along with them!!

"I'm out." I have no interest in legitimizing these fringe individuals and organizations by pretending that they belong in a debate about Islam. As I said to Christiane, "If we were having a debate on race in America, would you invite members of the KKK?"

Sure why not invite the kkk? And why would Robert Spencer, and Pamela Geller not be in a debate about "Should Americans Fear Islam", I dont get the pretending part.

Reza Ass-lan peddles his moderate-muslim myth as natural and honed in as that of a used car salesman, in this case, your typical Persian rug seller at then zok.

Ass-lan seems not to understand that, pretty much in American culture, once you get caught lying, not only do you lose all of your credibility but you earn a whopping amount of disrespect, contempt and even derision.

With Aslan and and the term 'pusillanimity' is quite appropriate. He's a big pusi...

Why the long face Reza.....

Ain't internet blogs grand?

probably coz he's short of a shllling.

Great article! Robert easily tore through Aslan's lies once again! Christiane will go down in history as a traitor to free speech and truth. Shows how evil and sympathetic media has become to a cult of criminals who have murdered people and civilisations for 1400 years! Media just wants to ride the popular bandwagon no matter how dangerous it is for the values this nation was built on! Rather than forming an inquiry into the reasons for Islam's criminal nature, media prefers to appease it. Nazis numbered more than a million and they were pure evil so would Christian suck up to Nazis as well? Do we count numbers while judging thugs? Had Nazis formed a cult religious order, God forbid, would it been right for Christiane to champion it as 'a people of a religion' who are righteous? And well, so much freedom and discount has been granted to Islam in the West that it has become a joke.. Appeasing towards suicide!? 'Kill the Jews' is their chief Religious slogan so how can these Islamic thugs claim victimhood, ISLAMOPHOBIA, peace or Israeli aggression? Islam and muslims are and have been violent everywhere in the world! What kind of God sent Angelic proof does one need in determining the difference between good and evil? Few hours of research is more than enough for the most foolish to realise how insane Islam is! Media, despite knowing this, is simply LEANING towards an agent of SATAN- ASLAN, and his likes!

Mr.Spencer, thanks for the article and we're all with you! Keep firing those freedom guns and let the distance hear it loud and clear!

Look at the source of the interview, a left-wing socialist rag which naturally finds radical islam a useful ally, as does the majority of the media including Amanpour, in bringing down the "unfair" western capitalist system.

Of course Mother Jones is going to gloss over any faults with those who are useful to their point of view.

That Ammanpoutain's gotta go.

Long overdue!

Even by CNN standards she has become a liability and a disgrace. She should be put on notice that there will be consequences 'once the political wind shifts in an ugly direction'......

Reza Aslan lying??????
Surely not!
The next thing will be finding out that Islam isn't a religion of peace........

11 & 3/4 pence short of a shilling.

To attempt to believe in doctrinaire, orthodox, Islam is tantamount to psychosis. Literalist Islam teaches that the universe is a continuous series of instant-to-instant specific acts of the Will of Allah, performed for no purpose, completely incomprehensible and impervious to reason, and that it is blasphemy to even ask questions about it. How does a human being live when he believes that to be the nature of the world?

He can't. That is the universe of the psychotic. So how do Muslims compensate for the impossibility of living in an incomprehensible, inherently chaotic world -- you try imagining that at any moment a god who is completely unlike anything you are even allowed to try to identify can instantaneously change the room you are sitting in into a cave for no reason and no purpose by a mere act of random will and that yours is not to question why -- and hold on to some form of functioning rationality that will allow them to maintain at least the outer semblance of sane beings?

Well, one of the answers is Reza Aslan. Aslan, like Allah, makes up his own universe as he goes along. Reason is meaningless to him. There is no objective reality, only the Will of Allah. So he acts accordingly. He lies. He misrepresents. He finds buzzwords like "demonization" that will work magic and throws them up in the air knowing that a journalist lapbitch like Amanpour will catch them and bring them back to her master for a nice pat on the head. His religion's ideology teaches that he lives in an insane universe where the only important thing is utter submission to the incomprehensible Will of the unknowable Allah. So he's doing his best to conform. And people need to stop insinuating that there is somehow something "sacred" about that and call him, and it, what it is: psychotic institutionalized evil.

"pusillanimity"

Okay, I sure had to look that one up...lol

This guy is such a piece of work. In his first sentence I was in total disagreement with him and knew, "Boy, this is going to be a good one!"

I'm sure this guy wants to debate with Robert...lol

It amazes me at how Robert, in a debate, with the most educated that Islam can offer, causes them to have that wide-eyed look, get to stuttering and then some, if not most, to anger. Can drown out the truth can you?

Thanks Mr. Spencer, you are a warrior.

Oh, how I love that!

OOOPS...
"if not most, to anger. Oh, how I love that!

Thanks Mr. Spencer, you are a warrior.

That's it.

"previous administration's demonization of Islam"?!

Does he mean the administration of the president who was calling Islam "a religion of peace that's been hijacked by extremists" before the ashes of those slaughtered on 9/11 were even cool?

These creatures have no shame -- and the leftist vermin who enable them have no scruples.

Who's the real "fringe individual" Reza?

Who is it who is desperate for legitimization, Reza?

Isn't Amnapour the person who's favorite artwork is a painting of the destruction of the twin towers situated prominently in her living space? Is that who you wanted to legitimize you?

In my experience, it's difficult if not impossible to legitimize liars because history (before islam gets to it) usually tells the truth .

The big picture view is that Spencer defends freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, equality of all people, while Aslan defends...Islam, including some of its worst elements.

In the interview, in response to another softball helpful question from Aaron Ross (no doubt while Ross was busily polishing Aslan's shoes), Aslan gushes regarding the "audience" of the 9/11 attacks (my emphasis)
"...The audience was precisely the same young people who have risen up across North Africa and the Middle East to bring down these dictators. The entire purpose of the attacks of 9/11, as Al Qaeda ideologues have openly and unapologetically stated, was to rouse these young people, to get them to stand up to bring down their own governments, and to replace them with this radical conception of a global caliphate. Well, the odd thing about it is that it actually worked, somewhat. These kids were roused to action, but not because of Al Qaeda, but because of a different conception that through acts of nonviolence, through acts of democratic protest, they can accomplish in a few months what Al Qaeda has been trying to accomplish for decades."

Global caliphate. And note that Aslan thinks this movement is a good thing. Ignore the incongruities in Aslan's statements. He says Al Qaeda's attempt to rouse the young people to move toward a caliphate "actually worked," but not because of al-Qaeda. I think he's just making up a lot of crap as he goes along. Yet the overall message and tone throughout this interview, and of many other pieces by Aslan, is that sharia is good, jihad is good, Islamic government is good; non-Muslims who have anything whatsoever critical to say about Islam and sharia are sick and evil "Islamophobes" etc. Thinks Aslan "They all aren't just quietly rolling over and accepting Islam and Islamization! There must be something wrong with them! Something must be done! Quick (to his agent), get me on with John Stewart again, we need more da'wa! What? All we can get right now is Mother Jones? Alright I guess we'll have to accept."

Reza Aslan is pro-sharia and pro-jihad, this much has been demonstrated in his own words over the past several years. He's dangerous because the mainstream media tries to present him as a moderate. This "moderate" lies about Islam to a non-Muslim public, at a time when that non-Muslim public is in dire need of no-nonsense facts about the problems with and dangers of Islam and Islamization.

For anyone who believes and takes to heart the overall message of the Quran to then complain about supposed "demonization" of anyone else, is absurd. The Quran is primarily a propaganda tool designed to demonize non-Muslims so that young impressionable Muslims will be psychologically prepared to conquer, kill, or subjugate non-Muslims.

Our friend Kamala has written a critical review of one of Aslan's books:
http://revuse.wetpaint.com/page/Book+Review%3A+How+to+Win+a+Cosmic+War
"Book Review: How to Win a Cosmic War
By Kamala
April 30, 2009"

I seem to recall that Kamala also wrote a review of Aslan's book "No God but God", but can't locate it at the moment.

Lapbitch----what a hoot! Whenever I hear her voice or see her image, there is a rush for the remote to change the channel accompanied by corresponding rush of deep seated nausea that usually warns of impending projectile vomiting or diarrhea.

Brilliant one lilredbird. .made me howl so loud I feared that they'd drag me back to the cuckoo's nest.

Anti-Muslim sentiment is increasing? It's actually anti-Islam sentiment that is increasing as more and more people see how they behave. The heat felt by Muslims because of this is actually a secondary effect. Reza Aslan fails to acknowledge the underlying reasons for the increase in anti-Islam sentiment, or whether this sentiment is justified. Instead of engaging in self-reflection about why Westerners might be offended by the odious beliefs and cultural practices of Islam, and its inherent aggression toward nonbelievers, he goes on the offensive and attacks.

Keep up the heat on Reza Aslan, Robert. As esteemed Jihad Watch commenter Buraq would say, he's a clown, and he needs to be exposed as such whenever he goes public with any of his ridiculous claims.

Aslan is such a beautiful name!!! He is ruining it! I watched his debate with Robert Spencer a while ago and was disgusted with him, but -by the Lion's mane - why does he have to be named Aslan???!!!

How Reza Aslan whitewashes Muhammad's caravan raids

First, notice how Aslan, on pages 82 and 83 of his book No god but God, makes Muhammad's caravan raids look bloodless:

By declaring Yathrib a sanctuary city, Muhammad was deliberately challenging Mecca's religious and economic hegemony over the Peninsula. And just to make sure the Quraysh got the message, he sent his followers out into the desert to take part in the time-honored Arab tradition of caravan raiding.

In pre-Islamic Arabia, caravan raiding was a legitimate means for small clans to benefit from the wealth of larger ones. It was in no way considered stealing, and as long as no violence occurred and no blood was shed, there was no need for retribution. The raiding party would quickly descend on a caravan -- usually at its rear -- and carry off whatever they could get their hands on before being discovered. These periodic raids were certainly a nuisance for the caravan leaders, but in general they were considered part of the innate hazards of transporting large amounts of goods through a vast and unprotected desert.

Though small and sporadic at first, Muhammad's raids not only provided the Ummah with desperately needed income, they also effectively disrupted the trade flowing in and out of Mecca...

Why does Reza Aslan make no mention of what core Islamic texts say about those raids, for example, what happened at Nakhla, where for the first time Muslims succeeded in finding a caravan to target? See page 287 (425 in the Arabic) of the earliest Muslim biography of Muhammad:
They [the Muslim raiders] encouraged each other, and decided to kill as many as they could of them and take what they had. Waqid [one of the Muslim raiders] shot Amr bin al-Hadrami [one of the caravan's leaders] with an arrow and killed him...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

How Reza Aslan misleads about Muhammad's marriage to 9-year-old Aisha

Notice how Aslan, on pages 64 and 65 of his book No god but God claims that Muhammad did not consummate his marriage to Aisha when she was 9:

...Aisha...was nine years old when betrothed to the Prophet...And while Muhammad's union with a nine-year-old girl may be shocking to our modern sensibilities, his betrothal to Aisha was just that: a betrothal. Aisha did not consummate her marriage to Muhammad until after reaching puberty...

Why doesn't Aslan mention what the core Islamic texts tell us?

From Sahih al-Bukhari, the most canonical hadith collection:

Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64:

Narrated 'Aisha:

that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 65:

Narrated 'Aisha:

that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: I have been informed that 'Aisha remained with the Prophet for nine years (i.e. till his death)."

Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 88:

Narrated 'Ursa:

The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with 'Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).

Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 236:

Narrated Hisham's father:

Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married 'Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old.

-------------------------------------

Many other core Islamic texts could be quoted in a similar vein.

It should be noted that Aisha was nine lunar years old. Since a lunar year is about 355 days, Aisha may actually have been as much as several months short of her ninth birthday.

Reza Aslan is untrustworthy, at best.

Just had to share this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reza_Aslan

Check out the only 2 references.

A few years back, while I was studying Islam toward my Theology degree, I had the opportunity to attend a lecture by Reza Azlan. He come off as a bright, knowledgeable, sincere, polished and professional scholar. I bought his book "No god but God" and had him autograph it.

Since then, his true nature and objecives have become blatantly clear. His raves and childish rants toward Robert Spencer are ridiculous, filled with anti-Semitic hate and lies, countered with juvenile derogatory sexual innuendos. His name-calling and antagonisitic approach are very immature and show he is obviously grasping at straws to defend his cause and so-called reputation.

Azlan's motive and the credibility of this "religion of peace" become transparent and both fail miserably. He is a handsome man (in person anyhow), but his heart is blackened by islam (caps intentionally omitted). His actions give him away and the truth becomes obvious.

It would please me to see what the love of Jesus Christ could do in the life of this satan-inspired madman!! Nothing is too big or impossible for our God (Jehovah).
WOW!! - Can you imagine??!!
