As Marisol noted here, “The Palestinian jihadists, for their part, will certainly try to abduct another Israeli soldier.” Why not? What’s the disincentive, when it brings rewards like this?
1,027 Palestinian jihadists for one IDF soldier, Gilad Shalit. Pamela Geller is right: “Imagine the hell that will be unleashed on the world when Israel releases 1,027 jihadists and murderers, including (though unconfirmed) Marwan Barghouti, who was convicted of three terror attacks in which five Israelis were murdered, and also of attempted murder, membership in a terror organization, and conspiring to commit a crime. He was also charged with 33 other murders.”
The freed jihadis also will include, according to the story Marisol linked here, “Amina Mona, a young woman who lured a lovestruck Israeli teenage boy by the name of Ophir Nahum to a Palestinian city over the Internet, only to have him killed by waiting terrorists.”
I am glad, if it turns out to be actually true, that Gilad Shalit is still alive, and still in good health. I am sorry for the families of those whom the freed jihadists have murdered in the past, and those whom they will murder in the future once they gain their freedom.
