There is no other way but partition and a separate state for Christians in Egypt, and in Iraq as well. If we could do it for Muslims in Bosnia and Kosovo, why not now? In Kosovo, it was well known that the KLA was a drug running and women trafficking organisation, and yet NATO jumped to their side. Why the double standard now?

The cry of outrage over this massacre of innocent Christians should be heard by the Obama administration long and loud. The Christians in Egypt are living in peril, their lives are hanging in the ballance.
Where is Obama? Where are our governmental officials? Where is our media?
We must stand up and if nothing else offer political asylum to these people. They are being murdered for no other reason than the choice of their religious belief.
The fate of the Egyptian Christians should not be extermination or slavery. They are only protesting tyranny at the hands of Islam/muslims.

The Arab spring could be the starting point. As each Muslim nation frees itself from dictators, with or without our help, it will descend into the chaos of a theocratic sharia state. The caliphate will become a reality. We will then have a situation similar to the Warsaw pact, with hopefully, a "Burqa curtain" coming down. The possible rulers of the caliphate will be Turkey or Egypt, with Iran the monkey in the works. Its quite instructive to see Turkey positioning itself.
When that happens, the lines will be drawn and clear.

There is no doubt that the West will break into civil wars unless there is separation (Google DP111 + global civil war). Separation from Islam and Muslims is the only way to avoid a civil war that will make Bosnia look like a garden party. For our good, and even for the good of Muslims, a peaceful separation is the best for all. The question has always been, how to achieve this.
First of all, there must come about a situation where the political situation permits it. Or else we would be guilty of deporting people who had committed no crime, under the reason that their future descendants, who are yet unborn, will pose a threat to our civilization. This would never pass.

Sinai is an eminently-defensible, clearly-delineated chunk of real estate...and with a little help and counsel from the Israelis I think it could support quite a lot of people, desert though it is. From an Infidel point of view, having a non-Muslim state commanding the east bank of the Suez would be a very good idea.
As for the Christians of Iraq and Syria...the only possible future I see, if they are to remain in 'the middle east', would be for them all to move to Lebanon and join the Maronites to reestablish a majority-Christian state focused on the natural fortress of Mont Liban and adjoining sea frontage.
I think a Coptic Sinai, Jewish Israel (so long as, at some point in the next ten-twenty years, they do not give up any part of Jerusalem, the Golan and the hill country of Judea and Samaria, and so long as they evict all the Mohammedans from same) and a re-Christianised Lebanon, especially if they all looked out for each other, could manage to hold their own (with a little well-focused help from the rest of dar al Harb) against the Ummah, or Mohammedan Mob.
Interesting geopolitical suggestions, dda, and I would certainly support them, but I don't think any are capable of becoming a reality unless a very big something occurs first. That big something is a clear and aggregate recognition by non-Muslims across the world that Islam is a giant negative for mankind, that it is the worst religion of all time and should no longer be indulged. I was thinking along the same lines. Sinai would be right as it will have a border with Israel, thus getting security. Israel would also have one side of its border that is secure.
But DD, what about Gaza? Hamas will be left out in the cold. The Gazans will have no where to get their weapons except from the "aid" flotillas.
Sad story, but...as the Arab world continues to purge minorities, they are left with...themselves. They don't want to free women, minorities, etc. They don't want to embrace the future, only the past. The don't want truth, only fantasy. So, that's their choice. Another thought. Egypt is the historic centre of the Coptic people, just as Kosovo is for Serbs, and Israel is for Jews. Moreover, Alexandria is the historic seat of Egyptian civilisation.
OTH, Suez canal duties can provide a sizable income for such a new state. It will also have strategic advantages for the West, as we would have a secure passage, to and from the East.

PJ O'Rourke had a similar idea for Somalia. Isolate the region, and then airdrop them small arms and ammo.
I'm not so sure that a seperate Coptic enclave in the Sinai or elsewhere in Egypt would help.
The Marionite Christians in Lebanon tried to set up such an enclave along the border with israel, but for a number of reasons it did not last. Unless we have reason to say that this failure would not be repeated, we won't have reason to prevent a reoccurance.
Besides, there is not much to live on in the Sinai. Unless more resorts and casinos can be built, or hydroponic farms along the Israeli style, the Copts would become international paupers.
I'd prefer that they come to the West, especially if they were vocal about the true reasons why they came.
Sinai has oil and gas, as well as the Suez Canal. Quite probably has gas reserves offshore in the Mediterranean.
It has lots of sea access for fishing and fish-farming and tourism potential galore. Plenty of academic and religious pilgrims would come to St Catherine's at Mt Sinai for study and religious retreats.
There are oases that could be nurtured (reduce the goat and camel population drastically, start revegetating the desert pastures and the oases and seasonal watercourses, and see what happens). Google 'Peter Andrews' and 'Natural Sequence Farming' to get an idea of what kinds of techniques could be used to rehydrate these arid, eroded, degraded landscapes.
And if Gaza were included, then it has extensive and potentially enormously-productive farmlands - it used to have orange orchards, and in the middle ages and renaissance period the Jewish dhimmi community there grew grapes and produced wine. Imagine a swap: all the Copts leave Egypt and most of them move into the Gaza Strip while all the Mohammedans are booted out of Gaza and the Sinai and move in to the vacated Copt villages in Egypt. I'l *bet* that Copts - smart, educable (even the poorest most illiterate garbage-picker Copt jumps at the chance to learn their letters and numbers, if that chance is offered), and hard-working - could turn Gaza into something like Monaco in no time. I reckon they'd turn it into a food-bowl. And from Israel's POV - having busy, peaceful Copts working away like bees next door = no more rockets!
Sure, it sounds crazy. Like Wellington, I don't see this happening anytime soon.
