Houston Hyatt Place Hotel caves to Islamic supremacist intimidation, cancels Pamela Geller event

UPDATE: Pamela Geller has the last laugh.

——-

Pamela Geller is scheduled to speak in Houston tonight, but the original venue for her talk, Hyatt Place, has caved to Islamic supremacist thugs and canceled her talk.

The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and other Islamic supremacist groups are conducting an ongoing campaign to discredit and marginalize everyone who dares to stand up against the jihad and Islamic supremacism. Central to this campaign is pressure against any organization or venue that dares to host a freedom fighter — hence Hamas-linked CAIR’s efforts to intimidate the FBI and the military into dropping invitations to me and other counter-jihadists, and its pressure on universities and private groups that host events featuring pro-freedom activists.

In Hamas-linked CAIR’s “Islamophobia” report, “Same Hate, New Target: Islamophobia and Its Impact in the United States 2009-2010,” the group claims that “it is not appropriate to label all, or even the majority of those, who question Islam and Muslims as Islamophobes,” but this is just another lie: Hamas-linked CAIR names no one who “question[s] Islam and Muslims” but is not, in its view, an “Islamophobe,” and in reality, everyone who stands for freedom against the jihad, Sharia and Islamic supremacism gets branded with this propagandistic and manipulative label. Hamas-linked CAIR is bent on marginalizing and discrediting every last individual who does not adopt a warmly positive stance toward the spread of Sharia in the West and all other manifestations of the advancing jihad.

Hamas-linked CAIR and its Islamic supremacist and Leftist allies are open enemies of the freedom of speech, and they’re relentless in bringing pressure on any individual, group or venue that dares to step out of the political correct dhimmi lockstep. That’s why we have to match them at every point. Wherever they succeed in intimidating a group or venue into dropping a talk by a freedom fighter, we have to bring just as much pressure to bear for the cause of justice, and let that group or venue know that we do not appreciate their failure to stand up for Constitutional principles when challenged. So please contact the Hyatt Place in Houston and tell them that since they canceled the Geller event, you will be staying elsewhere:

The stakes are very high. If we don’t resist this Islamic supremacist thuggery, the Islamic supremacists will succeed in stamping out all discussion of the truth about Islam and jihad, thereby rendering us mute and defenseless before its advance. That’s why we have to resist now, at every step, before it’s too late. Contact the Hyatt. But don’t just complain: host a counter-jihadist in your area. Stand for freedom.

As I said a little earlier: cowards, cowards, cowards throughout the Western world. Unite under the glorious Blue Star! Resistance! Hero Geert and his Dutch Freedom Party are already in action. What will it take to launch Resistance here, in the US?!

Cowards. Traitors to their own Western civilization. The cowardly criminals who just keep taking it out on the Serb Christians. Still stomping on the much-suffered Serb people, even 12 years after Serbia had completely capitulated to them! Now, the US, English and other NATO criminals are trying to smother the only remaining Serb community in Kosovo, right on the border with the remnant of Serbia. They have now put up a Berlin Wall with barbed wire and NATO troops with free-fire orders on Serb civilians, to cut that Serb community off from the rest of Serbia and deliver into the hands of the rabidly racist, sadistic, genocidal Kosovar Albanian KLA terrorists whom the Western democracies put in power in the conquered Kosovo:

Whats most troubling is, Hyatt’s 11th hour decision. What could have been the impetus which led to their last minute decision. Official comments from Hyatt were not included in the Robert’s post.

  4. says

This is sad, sad, sad and it seems to be happening more and more. The savages can hold their hate-fest banquets at any American hotel with no problem; nobody tries to stop them or interfere with their macabre festivities and jihad fundraising campaigns. But genuine Americans are treated like aliens in their own country for the horrible crime of trying to warn others about the enemy within. I would be willing to bet that ten thousand pleas from American citizens to cancel an islamic event at any hotel or public venue would be ignored, yet the Hyatt caved to complaints by CAIR and its supporters.

I am sickened by this because current trends indicate that soon there will be nowhere for freedom fighters to hold meetings, seminars, and speeches. If a reservation made months ago and advertised to the public can be cancelled at the last moment for no reason other than muslims complained, we’re in deep trouble. What good is a reservation/contract to use space in a building if it can be arbitrarily cancelled by the hotel at the last minute? I hope Ms. Geller can sue the hell out of them. I intend to give the Hyatt a piece of my mind, nicely of course.

  5. says

I did, and I would like a response from the management of the Hyatt. What is their reason for the cancellation of free speech. What would Same Houston have to say about it?
We demand some answers. Let them answer for their decisions.

  6. says

I also sent my letter and asked for an explanation as to the reason they breached their agreement with Ms. Geller. The law may be on Ms. Geller’s side and she should seriously explore legal action if the Hyatt has indeed violated their agreement.

  7. says

If a significant percentage of the American people can be duped into voting for barack hussein, considering just some of his past associations, it should not be entirely surprising some timid hotel manager’s knee’s buckled at the certain intimidation coming his/her way from the terrorist and the enemy linked cair.
When word gets out, the loss of business to Hyatt from concerned citizens will perhaps give a little courage and wisdom to the next business stupid enough to fall for cair’s empty threats.

  8. says

Wait wasn’t it also the Hyatt in Oakbrook, IL that hosted the treasonous and seditious Khilafah 2011 Conference this past June? The conference videos will make your blood boil! The spineless, money-grubbing, bast__ds at the Hyatt!

  9. says

Oh Robert: Look at this headline:

“Muslim Brotherhood: “We will sabotage the electoral process if we cannot mention ‘Islam is the solution’ in our slogans.”

    http://www.almasryalyoum.com/en/node/506489

The obviously means that the Brotherhood hasn’t given up it’s “Islamic identity” I wonder if it really gave up it’s plans for an Islamic State too…

Our local chapter of ACT! for America hosted an appearance by Brigitte Gabriel last Sunday night, which was well attended and received. It was held at a private country club, which was thoroughly informed in advance as to the nature of the presentation, and Ms. Gabriel was accompanied by tight security.

So for this little pants-wetting manager at the Hyatt to claim s/he knew nothing about Pam or her work merely shows that s/he doesn’t mind admitting incompetence if it will keep CAIR and the local Democrat Dhimmis from holding his/her feet to the fire. And yes, Pam should certainly explore legal action if the Hyatt violated the terms of their agreement with her. In the meantime, boycott Hyatt and be sure they know why.

  11. says

Isabellathecrusader commented on the Gilad Shalit thread that the Hyatt has been hopping today with phone calls from “our people” (as they stated to her). Keep it up – make it impossible for them to conduct business as usual, as was their complaint to her. Don’t forget to mention that your business or company will not be patronizing the Hyatt chain with ANY type of business in future, nor will you, your family and friends. Call, don’t write, as that is the disruption about which they are most complaining.

  12. says

I wrote this before I checked the comments. I see I am not the only one who remembered Sam Houston:

    Mr Kern, sir:

I am sadly disappointed to understand that you have cancelled the scheduled talk tonight by Pamela Geller. The information that she has to give is not only protected speech, but it may turn out to be vital to the future protection of speech.

I quote a man you may have heard of, Sam Houston: “The benefits of education and of useful knowledge, generally diffused through a community, are essential to the preservation of a free government.”

I feel that Ms. Geller’s talks are ‘useful knowledge’ that I would ill wish to be deprived of.

Perhaps Texas has changed from the day when Sam Houston could say: “Texas has yet to learn submission to any oppression, come from what source it may.”

Hmmm. Maybe those days are over. What do you think?

  13. says

Just getting a phone call from CAIR should make Hyatt question their legitimacy. How can CAIR have so much clout to do something like this.
The ITF will also be sending a letter to the Hyatt.

  14. says

    Mr.Farley Kern
I am very disappointed to understand that you have cancelled the scheduled talk tonight by Pamela Geller. What would possibly have given you the reason to do such a thing? The information that she has to give is not only protected speech, but it may turn out to be vital to the future protection of speech.

Hyatt should be very careful when dealing with shady organizations such as CAIR. Those people have proven ties with the Muslim Brotherhood.

    Did you know that?

They also have proven relations with Hamas.

    Did you know that?

Just getting a phone call from these people should have told you something immediately. Why are they calling you? Are they afraid? Are they hiding something? Wake up!!

I would like a response from the management of the Hyatt stating what your reason is for the cancellation of free speech.

I will be waiting for your response.

In the meantime I will not have any dealings with Hyatt in the future, and I will be sure to tell everyone else as well. Word of mouth and web publishing works wonders.

And out here in Southern California we cannot get the Hilton in Anaheim to cancel CAIR’s 15th Anniversary banquet. And the keynote speaker is Imam Siraj Wahhaj. Siraj is OK to speak but Pamela is not?

  16. says

That Islam is afraid of the truth, or for that matter even the most minor of criticisms, is well known by now by all in the West who are not living in ignorance about this religion, but compounding this affront to Western liberty by Muslims, who would destroy Western liberty if ever given the chance, are those like the Hyatt organization who, in fine dhimmi fashion, bow to the spiritual fascists which Islam produces in droves. Sickening, but oh so very predictable.

Our stupid times continue. Oh yeah, won’t be staying at any Hyatt hotel for any reason anytime never.

  17. says

My compliments to those above who sent off some excellently composed letters to the Hyatt. I sent one off one early this morning but forgot to save it for Robert or Pamela’s website.

  18. says

“Contact the Hyatt. ” – did and dusted. The manager didn’t reach to the phone – I guess restroom was his convenient status. I left the message and redialed his receptionists. She sounded friendly and she agreed to inform the manager that he is a coward and that he was responsive to the terrorist liked organization called CAIR. A whole bunch of us will never stay at his hotel.

She told me the venue is changed ant it is taking place in someplace nearby. why was it cancelled at the hotel? She didn’t know.

  19. says

    To Jihad Watch community,
Here is the text of the email I sent to Farley Kern:
    “Sir!

Since you cancelled Mrs. Pamela Geller’s event, I will do everything to inform people not to stay in a Hyatt hotel.

Pamela Geller is a great American who is fighting so the United States of America remains free of the fascism that is creeping in the States. The Islamists is a threat to our freedom and you won’t let this woman defends the values that are dear to Americans. Shame on you.

  20. says

J.B Prirtzker is the principal owner of Hyatt Hotels.
He is an Obama / Hillary Clinton, billionaire Democrat, based in (you guessed it) Chicago. He supported Hillary on her bid for the presidency and later Barack Obama for his eventual win of the White House.

Connecting the dots, shoud not present any significant degree of difficulty.

  21. says

Robert and Pamela will not be silenced.

The West, aka, America, and freedom-loving Americans will see to that.

I for one, am all in.

  22. says

I’m not shocked. CAIR is putting its weight against every fighter like Pamela. I thought this was America! I always thought that America was the champion of free speech. Shouldn’t we able to sue?

  23. says

Btw, you can bet that I won’t be frequenting that Hyatt’s place again. I know that I just won’t make a difference but together I’m sure that it will. This will make sure they’ll know that cancellation has a negative economic effect.

  24. says

Central to this campaign is pressure against any organization or venue that dares to host a freedom fighter…

Self-censorship is a key cog, per the key cog, in the Opinion Programming industry.

In this case of self-censorhip enforcement, Moslem activists were the actors, the event hosting industry was the medium, and resistance to the Islamization of America was the target.

    *** 33:21 ***

The only recourse is a lawsuit. The only question is whether to file in a state court or a federal court. Either way, there is a strong possibility of being met with an unconstitutional (i.e., lawless) decision made an actual law school grad donned in an actual black robe who accepts the Geezers belief system as the way to justice.

The fees would be dauntingly high for such recourse, for the Judeo-Christian (i.e., pro-freedom) side. As for the Moslem side, the taxpayers will be picking up the tab for it.

  25. says

Thanks CGW for passing along my story. : )

To the freedom loving jihad fighter who asked why Pamela’s speech was cancelled, I was told by Brandon, one of the two assistant managers, that it was because of “anticipated business disruptions”. He repeated that phrase three times during the course of our 90 second conversation before he just had to go. When I asked him if CAIR had contacted him he was silent for several seconds and then said, “You can ask anything or say anything you want but I’m trying to run a business here. Do you know how many of you people have contacted me today? I’m trying to run a business here.”

Yeah, trying to run a business. I’m trying to get it through your thick scull that you ain’t gonna have a business to run if you keep it up. People are P.O.’d; they are made as hell and they aren’t going to take it anymore.

Everybody here needs to call Brandon tomorrow and explain to him why you’re never going back to the Hyatt again. If he thinks Islamic supremacist intimidation is scary he hasn’t seen anything yet. A nervous breakdown for poor Brandon would be as good a way as any to get our point across. ; )

  26. says

My family and I are coming to the US on holiday next year. We (eight of us) intended to stay in a Hyatt hotel. I’ve now e-mailed them saying we will not be staying with them, and informing them I’m making it my business to tell as many people as I can, NOT to patronise this hotel, because it is an enemy of free speech.

  27. says

We are truly blessed for having Pamela and Robert, fighters for freedom and truth. We are also blessed in having so many activists to back them up. Thanks all for your good work. May God bless you all!

There’s “Occupy Wall Street” and there’s “Occupy America” of the Islamists. Has anyone noticed the number of protesters in the various “Occupy” cities (NYC, Boston, Oakland, Toronto, London, etc.) are wearing that Arab wrap-around scarves?

  29. says

The Sheraton Hotel in downtown Toronto cancelled an islamic hatefest by IERA (see blazing cat fur blog for more details).

The organization is an arm of the muslim brotherhood, is promoted by muslim student associations in canada (like University of Toronto). Some of the speakers have made comments upholding the death penalty for gays and openly calling non-muslims ‘filth’.

I would support Sheraton hotel over the Hyatt.
Muslims are threatening to boycott Sheraton.

    WAY TO GO CANADA!

  30. says

I sent this just this morning to Farly, farly, farly. (3 amigo’s) LOL!!!

I understand why you canceled the Pamela Geller presentation. I realize that you feared that you could be bombed and your other guests could be in jeopardy. Think about it. We are being held hostage because of islamic ideology. We now fear followers of islam in our own county, in our own cities and you fear islam in your own work place. We are a sorry United States now. Not like the days of Sam Houston. Best to comply to those who are the most dangerous to us. Keeps us safer and lesser.

Do take the time to watch these eye-opening videos because it is a prime example of the gross double standard that the Hyatt corporation is now involved in. The Hyatt Corporation has cancelled Pam Gellar’s speaking engagement at the Hyatt in Sugarland, on the one hand and, yet hosted and promoted the seditious Khilafah Conference earlier this year in Chicago. These people need to be taken to task over this horrendous inconsistency.

The inconsistency by Hyatt is caused by an asymmetry: the chances of threats, demonstrations, boycotts, arson, bombings, litigation and other punitive behaviors are negligible hosting a Moslem confab, but these threats are high when hosting a Judeo-Christian one.

    *** 33:21 ***

Hyatt knows prudent business practice, and it’s an unfortunate byproduct of this asymmetry that their prudence is in a small but significant way helping the defeat of Western Civilization. Hyatt management must look through quarterly and annual windows; the Moslems look through a much longer one.

Kudos to Hyatt management team for making a public, if tacit, admission that Moslems stand above the U.S. Constitution and its precept that all men are created equal.

Solution? Hold a consitutional convention and amend it to read … except Moslems so that we can once again be a nation of laws.

  32. says

Robert thank you for your fine work. Whatever would we do without you? Keep safe!

Just got off the telephone with Hyatt Hotel. They tell me that it was the Tea Party representative that chose to move the Pam Geller Event to another location (Sugarland Community Centre) as a result of a threatening CAIR demonstration. That rep I am told is Mrs. Hope McCain and she worked her arrangements with Judy Schmid from the Hyatt. You can reach Judy at 1-800-323-7249 in order to confirm.

Sorry I will not be able to attend–just too far from Canada! We do however have our own http://www.NoIslamInSchools.ca Event on October 31st at the Royal Canadian Legion 1050 Weston Road Toronto, Ontario M6N 3S2. Hope to see you there!

“Thank you for contacting Hyatt Hotels. We appreciate the time you have taken to provide your feedback and comments.

Hyatt Place Houston/Sugar Land respects the various opinions expressed by our guests and visitors. In this particular situation, the changing security needs required for the safety of our guests and others on the hotel property and to avoid business disruption prompted us to ask the organizers to move it to an alternate location. We are pleased that the organizers were able to identify a venue better equipped to provide services to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved with the event.

Yes, I have. Here in Oakland, all too many of the “occupiers” are sporting Hijabs, and the Kaffiyehs”some worn by Muslims, some by useful tools in “solidarity” with the “Palestinians””are too numerous to count.

I’ve mentioned this on other threads. Very troubling.
