Kent State professor reportedly yells "Death to Israel" at event with Israeli diplomat

“The crowd fell into an awkward silence as the two continued to exchange words from across the auditorium.

I don't advocate violence, but someone there should of at least spanked him or threw him out like a rowdy bully drunk in a bar. This man was drunk on his hate, was violent in nature and just wouldn't shut up. Head first...goodbye!

One problem with universities is the tenure system. It is virtually impossible for a university to get rid of a tenured professor, regardless of how irresponsible, unprincipled, unqualified, or even how vicious the professor turns out to be. About the only way to get rid of these guys is if they get thrown in jail for bonking their underage students.

Universities use the tenure system to avoid taking responsibility for their professors or their teaching quality. Tenured professors guard their domain more jealously than the worst mob-infested unions. Any university even hinting at eliminating tenure will have its certification yanked by the tenured professors who sit on the certification boards.

This is the way that nut jobs like Pino keep their status as professor and mentor. Generally, these fanatic professors are poor researchers and even worse instructors. But, tolerating these incompetents is part of the price that our so-called academics are willing to pay in order to maintain their cushy positions.

Why am I not surprised?

This Assad Jibril Pino -- his name since his conversion to Islam -- is a real piece of work.
Here's an example of his influence, taken from a student comment on Rate My Professors: "Professor Pino is an outstanding teacher and has opened my eyes to the corporate raiders who have robbed future generations of everything Amerika has to give us as well as keeping the poor and diverse peoples in their place."
Ah, there's nothing like a good education.

Honestly, does anyone even know what the good professor was referring to? How is Israeli foreign aid "blood money from the deaths of Palestinian children and babies"? That sounds about as credible as the lower reaches of The Da Vinci Code.

Everyone in the room should have realized, though, that something of the kind was likely to happen. Universities are breeding grounds for "Palestinian fever", as I like to call it, and when someone gets hit by that virus they can usually kiss their intellect goodbye.

I don't know if anyone knows that Professor Pino actually is Muslim, but, I don't think that's the point. He's probably been soaking his head in Noam Chomsky, an activity which seems to be filling the religion-gap for many Westerners these days, parlicularly academics.

What is really bizarre about this kind of thing, as Robert Spencer has often pointed out, is the way a Western, secular, "liberal" academic will ally himself with some of the most retrograde, anachronistic, illiberal to the point of fascist, elements on earth, in his unbridled desire to work against the hated Jewish state. Or, in some cases, his hated native country.

I have even heard extreme anti-Zionists praise and extol Hezbollah and Hamas without reserve, and at the same time pillory Israel for being, among other things, sexist!

Figure that out.

Just last week, Pino sent me the following email using his Kent State University e-mail account:

OCCUPIED KABUL, Afghanistan – NATO announced Friday that six more U.S. troops have died in Afghanistan, bringing the death toll for July to at least 66 and surpassing the previous month's record as the deadliest for American forces in the nearly 9-year-old war.
The notion that a professor would praise the killing of 66 American troops is pretty sickening. But the idea that he would use public property to refer to our war heroes as “dogs” and “c****” is simply unacceptable.

Pino has no respect for the soldiers who have died to preserve his right to say stupid things. Nor has he any respect for the hard-working taxpayers of Ohio who provide him with a venue to do so.

I recently wrote the following to Kent State President Lester Lefton to ask him about Pino’s recent emails to me (you can also write to him):

Sir, what efforts do you think you might be able to undertake to prevent Professor Julio Pino from emailing me with claims that he has raped and sodomized my mother? He is also writing me referring to slain U.S. soldiers as "c****." These emails are all coming from jpino@kent.edu

So far, the issue has not been deemed sufficiently important to merit a response from the Kent State President. So I have been in touch with one of the producers of The O’Reilly Factor to discuss the possibility of extended coverage of the Pino situation.

Here are some of the reasons why I believe that Jesse Watters of The Factor should consider unleashing one of his patented ambushes on Julio Pino:

1. Pino uses his university e-mail account to profanely denigratefallen U.S. soldiers.
2. Pino has used his university e-mail account to boast of raping and sodomizing the mother of another university professor – this time using the term “c***” to refer to a senior citizen, not a U.S. soldier.
3. Pino has sent repeated unwanted emails to other professors with a subject line suggesting that the White House would soon need “more coffins.” This resulted, during the summer of 2009, in a Secret Service raid of Pino’s home.
4. Pino has sent emails celebrating the murders of 911 to professors on, of all days, September 11th.
5. Pino published an article in the Kent State newspaper, which urged children to become suicide bombers – specifically to kill innocent Israeli citizens.
6. Pino admitted, to a Fox producer working for Britt Hume, that he has posted on the Global War blog spot – a terrorist website. This admission followed accusations that he posted specific bomb-making instructions, which urged readers to use the bombs to kill U.S. troops. He also admitted his involvement with the site to his then-department chair John Jameson. Dr. Jameson was fired (as chair) after letting Pino travel to the Middle East (mid-semester) for an extended stay while he (Pino) was under suspicion for terrorist activities.
