The G in English is usually for goat whereas the "jeem" in Arabic is for "jug". So I've noticed the Egyptians use G for "jeem" (J) because the alphabets sound phonetically same. Another example that comes to mind is El-Gamaal (the Cryptosystem guy) - actually Al-Jamaal.

For one answer please go back and re-read RonaldB's comments, especially the ones I quoted above. The main stream media (MSM) is the major facilitator of the current shift from democracy to majoritarianism. They support every move in this direction, from the Federalizing of state crimes to the abolition of the Electorial College. Majoritarianism will only enhance the MSM's ability to influence the course of events to their liking.

Another reason is that the MSM does not want Americans to be outraged against Islamic supremacism. This is also why videos of people jumping from the Twin Towers on 9/11 is hard to come by.

Consider this. Obama was a member of a church for 20 years whose pastor used to be associated with the Black Muslims, and whose ranting, vicious anti-American, antisemitic speeches are freely available on the internet. This was all known before the election, if not before the primaries.

My point is, the political system itself has been dumbed down. The federal government has made it impossible for a really intelligent candidate to emerge. Experienced party workers are weakened through mandatory primaries where it is illegal for parties to actually limit primary voters to members of their parties. In fact, it is illegal to choose candidates through party caucuses run by professional party leaders.

My point is, that it is not enough to just get rid of this person or that. The fact is, we had very poor candidates last election. We have to change our political system to go back to the original concepts of the framers, who very deliberately made us a republic of competing and balancing interests, rather than a "winner-take-all" pure majority-rules democracy, as Tom Davis pointed out.

For the record, I think it's a bad idea to impeach a president for anything other than an openly criminal offense. I learned my lesson by the impeachment of Bill Clinton, where his attention was distracted at a vital point in US history. Impeachment is a very bad way to settle political differences, even if we feel those differences are crucial.

If our political system works anywhere near rational, Obama won't be elected President for the next term. If our political system can no longer function rationally, we are in more trouble than Obama can account for.

I think the impeachment of Bill Clinton was a terrible idea. He needed to focus his complete attention on US affairs. He may have lied under oath about his affair with Monica Lewinsky, but righting that wrong was not worth the well-being of the United States.

This is in opposition to Richard Nixon, who was a far better President than Bill Clinton, Lyndon Johnson, or either Bush. Nixon was a party to political crimes which affected the political process, and then lied openly about it. He also had the bad taste to record himself doing so. So, his impeachment was necessary. The US cannot tolerate a President using his powers in a criminal manner to maintain his office. Bill Clinton was simply carrying on an affair. I'm ashamed to have supported his impeachment at the time.

I'm scared about Herman Cain's simplistic views. He says all we need to do in foreign policy is to know our friends, and stop giving money to our enemies. A President has got to think strategically, not emotionally.

The House may do anything they like, but unless a President is convicted of anything, via the Senate, he is not impeached!

He is merely brought up under articles of impeachment. If the accusations fall to the wayside during the process from House to Senate, then he remains unimpeached.
