I'm looking for information on the muslima in this profile, Shamshad Sheikh. A woman active in our area exposing truth about Islam has a daughter who now attends Quinnipiac university and is concerned that this new "chaplain" may be including heavy doses of taqiyya with her "warm relationships", but wants to find as much information on her before possibly contacting university officials. Any help would be much appreciated.

It's a great conference line-up.

and note the cultural blend.

Mr Spencer - Greek Melkite Catholic, practising, with ancestors who endured dhimmitude under the Ottoman Muslim empire before escaping to the freedom of the USA.

Pam Geller - Jewish. (And I see there is also a Rabbi on the line-up of speakers).

Mark Durie - Australian, an Anglican priest, a scholar and linguist.

Wafa Sultan - Syrian-born apostate from Islam, now an atheist.

Anyone who wants to claim that the resistance to jihad is some sort of white-bread 'redneck American' movement is a fool. It's international and cross-cultural; intelligent non-Muslims from a variety of ethnic and religious or philosophical backgrounds are waking up and connecting with each other.

I don't see persons of African and Indian background among the speakers on this particular occasion - but I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised to see proud American citizens - and, too, visitors from Canada - of Christian African or of HIndu or Sikh profession and Indian ethnicity among the attendees, since many such persons have assiduously attended the Ground Zero Mosque protest rallies.

Vijay Kumar (Indo-American) and Allen West (black American) are among the most Islamosavvy Americans in public life.

I can not make this event. But I sure wish I could. I'm sure we could all learn more about the ideology of Islam, and the dangers of Sharia Law.

I'm very concerned that our American legislators, and courts, are still ignorant to both the ideology of Islam, and Sharia Law. These legislators are suppose to be protecting our citizens, our nation and our constitution, not appeasing Islam.

I certainly hope that this event is not cancelled at the last minute by the hotel. There are thousands of Somali savages in that area and I'm sure CAIR will incite them to engage in typical muslim grievance theater with the requisite accusations of islamophobia, hate speech, etc. I would love to be there and I just might sign up if there are any openings left.

At the risk of raining on the parade...has it occurred to anyone but me that this web site may simply represent a front group for Israel, AIPAC, or another Israel pressure group? Not that this is necessarily a bad thing. However, if that's the case, what makes anyone believe the web site's views on jihad have any validity whatsoever? I realize this will probably be viewed as a naive, perhaps even quaint, but as someone who pays particular attention to sources for information, understanding possible bias is the first step for determining whether information is valid. An honest presenter of fact would plainly state bias, and so when that doesn't occur, it raises a red flag in my mind. Don't mistake my comments for support of jihad: If I wanted to learn about the concept, I wouldn't look to a pro-Israeli web site for answers unless of course I were of a mind that all Muslims are closeted jihadis.

Mr Spencer supports Israel because all decent non-Muslims should support all fellow non-Muslims who are being assailed by Jihad. He supports Israel for the same reason that he supports the non-Muslim state of India in its self-defence against Jihad, and the non-Muslim state of Thailand, and the non-Muslim Philippines (see the archives for plenty of stories relating what is happening in those places). He supports Jews - threatened by murderous Islamic antisemitism - for the same reason as he supports the Christians of South Sudan, or the Buddhists and Hindus of Bangladesh.

And see V S Naipaul, 'Among the Believers' and 'Beyond Belief', and 'India: A Wounded Civlisation' (the greatest part of that 'wounding' being due to the extreme cruelty and devastation inflicted by centuries of Mohammedan invasions and occupation).

Naipaul tells it like it is; and what he saw, and sees, makes perfect sense in the light of what Mr Spencer and many, many others, past and present, have said about Islam, and Muslims, the jihad and the sharia.

What rot. If you read Jihad Watch over the course of a few days—basically, all the articles at any given time that have not fallen into the archives—you will find articles on Europe, on the United States and Canada, India, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia—and, sure, occasionally on Israel.

So far as I can recall, the *only* articles currently dealing with Israel are on the release of Gilat Shalit, which *surely* must be considered an important issue vis-a-vis Jihad.

Robert Spencer himself is Christian, as is frequent contributor Raymond Ibrahim. Many Jews—including some Israelis—do post here, but there are many more Christians and atheists, as well as quite a number of Hindus and people of other faiths.

Jihad Watch and many of the people posting here *do* support Israel—but only because Israel is a free nation especially threatened by Jihad. Israel is hardly the only, or even the primary, issue here.

The question is: what would lead you to believe it would be?

The illogic of this is stunning—you are basically saying you cannot trust Jihad Watch because it does not openly state a "bias" that it does not have—and make it plain that you would not trust the site if it did indeed openly espouse this bias.

By that, it sounds as though you are incapable of considering any criticism of Jihad seriously in any case.

Jihad is an ongoing threat to *all* of us—not just Israel.

If Jihad Watch has a "bias", it is that it considers Jihad a very bad thing indeed. Are you glad to see that Jihad Watch plainly states such "bias", or do you believe this invalidates any concern over Jihad entirely?

If this is the case, you are a fool.
