Commentary generally marches in dhimmi lockstep with dreary predictability, but here it breaks ranks. And these 2010 statistics are no different from those of the previous year. "FBI Statistics Belie Islamophobia Hysteria," by Jonathan S. Tobin in Commentary, November 20:
It has become an accepted trope of contemporary journalism that American Muslims are under siege and beset by hatred and prejudice. But the evidence for this conventional wisdom is lacking. The story line of Muslim persecution in the United States has always been a matter of anecdotes and perception, not facts. That truth was confirmed this week when the FBI released their annual crime statistics report which showed once again that hate crimes against Muslims remain rare and are far outnumbered by attacks on Jews....The report is not perfect, since not all parts of the country do a good job compiling the data, but it provides an important snapshot of the state of the nation regarding bias crimes. But the numbers speak for themselves. In 2010, only 13.2 percent of religion-based attacks were directed at Muslims. By comparison, 65.4 percent of such crimes were directed at Jews. This shows a slight increase over the last two years (the raw numbers show 887 anti-Jewish attacks with only 160 anti-Muslim attacks), but is not a statistical fluke. In 2009, the FBI reported that 70.1 percent of religious-based hate crimes were anti-Jewish while only 9.3 percent were anti-Islamic. In 2008, the FBI said 66.1 percent were anti-Jewish while 7.5 percent were anti-Muslim. This has been true of every year in the past decade, even in 2001 when anti-Muslim crime spiked in the wake of 9/11. For all of the breast-beating about Islamophobia in this country, anti-Semitism remains a far greater problem....
It would be interesting to know the persuasion of the perp's- those doing the attacking. Or do i even need to wonder? How will the MSM react to this little snippet of information? I suspect the same result would be confirmed if such a study was conducted in the UK.
I hereby coin the phrase "Hebrewphobia™", "Judeophobia™", and "Israeliphobia™." I expect royalties every time there is anti-semitism. I should be filthy rich in a week if I can have it enforced in any muslim-dominated country.
Absolutely no surprises here. As for the perpetators, one can speculate that the vast majority of anti-Jew attacks will be followers of the RoP and its liberal lefty workshy red checkered Shemagh scarf clad useful idiot pals much like the ones we have in England who scream hysterically anti Nazi slogans whilst supporting the their Islamo-nazi chums.
*perpetrators. sorry, no spellcheck.
Here's a graphic I did about this croc - islamophoNia http://bit.ly/ojqJcP
Most crimes inspired by religious hatred are against Jews and they most of them are committed by Muslims. In Europe most anti-Semitic crimes are encountered in France, as France has the largest MUslim minority in Europe (About 6 million)
No, we are not 'phobic' about Muslims. Perhaps annoyed with their antics and deceits, certainly protective against their attacks, but not a "phobia". In fact, "Islamophobia" should be typoed as "Islamo-phobia™", because it is an Islamic fear that drives it, not ours. THEY are afraid, so scream bloody hell every time someone looks at them sideways, especially their covered up women who shudder with "phobia" inside their veils. But they still keep coming, and perhaps with enough "phobia" they will reconsider, and return to their Sharia paradises. One can hope, perhaps?
As I wrote on earlier post about 70% Arab 'yoots' wanting to emigrate:
Just think how their "Islamo-phobia" would melt away once they are back into the folds of Sharia, in the lands from which they hailed. Truth be told, they may then suffer a new "Islamo-phobia" once there, as then they will discover their co-religionists think them apostates, and try to kill them in earnest, as per their Koranic book's Allah commands. Then their "Islamo-phobia" would be justified. But one way ticket out only, no return policy. Sorry.
Will CAIR now be issuing a statement thanking non-mislums for the fact that muslims are statistically safer than other religious groups.
Also as there appears to be no stats on the offenders, is it safe to assume that some of the attacks on Muslims could be sectarian??
This is just like the modus operandi of the critics of counter-jihadists, among whom we can count Nicholas Kristoff, Spencer Ackerman, Adam Serwer and Juan Cole as the most infamous examples... Rather than actually looking at islam's texts and tenets to actually try to rebuff the criticism that they attack (a task which, obviously, they would not manage to accomplish), the babble they write and say counts on their audience reacting to it as if the arguments of the critics of islam are so absurd that they HAVE to be bogus.
By the same token, if any mahoundian complains about non-existing discrimination, rather than go look for evidence of it (which they wouldn't find), a lot of people will just assume that it's true and get ready for some real good sandal-licking.
Nice.
France also has Europe's largest surviving Jewish population outside the former USSR. It's probably hard to have an antisemitic attack in Albania, where there are probably very few Jews, if any.
No, they will be issuing a statement complaining that the proportion of all anti-religious crimes to be committed against Muslims has nearly doubled in the last two years, while crimes against Jews are 5% decreased in the last year.
Watch this space.
