Iranian lawmaker threatens Israel, Europe in event of strike on nuke program

Hossein Ebrahimi also says "Before any action against Iran, the Israelis will feel our wrath in Tel Aviv."

Did Iran just tip its hand, or is it bluffing? Ebrahimi goes into some detail about retaliatory measures in response to what may have been a deliberate leak to pressure Iran, on account of its own curious level of detail. "Israeli attack will unleash Iran's wrath'," by Dudi Cohen for YNet News, November 5:

Hossein Ebrahimi, a senior member of the Tehran's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, warned Saturday that Iran's response to a possible attack by Israel will be "crushing."
"Before (being able to take) any action against Iran, the Israelis will feel our wrath in Tel Aviv," he told the State-run IRNA news agency.
"The Israelis entered the (Lebanon) war with the capabilities they had but earned nothing but humiliation," Ebrahimi said. "I do not think that Israelis along with the Americans and Britons will commit such a folly."
"If the threat is carried out they will see the political might of the (Islamic) establishment, the solidarity of the Iranian nation, and the strength of the country," he added.
"The Iranian regime is insane," a Tehran-based blogger told Ynet on Saturday.
Hamid (alias) said that Israel should, nevertheless, take the threats uttered by the Islamic Republic's leaders seriously: "We are used to such threats... The Iranian people are not afraid – they have no reason to be. We know that if the Revolutionary Guards sense any real threat, they will launch world war three. Israel knows better than to want that."
Hamid said that in the event of an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, Tehran's army will immediately launch rockets at Israel, while its navy will attack US navy ships in the Persian Gulf.
The regime, he added, may also choose to fire rockets at Iraq, Afghanistan and even Europe. "The regime is insane – tell Mr. Netanyahu not to attack."
Hamid ventured that any attack would only boost the Iranian people's support of the ayatollah's regime – which already enjoys a 70% approval rate.

Still, any poll results must be taken with a grain of salt in a country where the wrong answer could result in a knock on the door in the middle of the night.

Iran, he concluded, "should pursue nuclear technology only in order to be perceived as a (nuclear) power in the eyes of the West."

Iranians want an all war.. they will have their people in Western Europe attack civilians.. l dont know when they think it is possible.. but in France, GB...and Netherlands could have their no go zones expand.. something the iranian thugs are itching for.

Israel and the the western world have no choice but to go after Iran's nuclear facilities. Because of the boasting of Iran's president, which may be another Saddam Hussein type of deception, Israel must take threats seriously. A war with Iran is not something anyone wants but Iran with nuclear weapons is not something any civilized country can afford to ignore. Iran may bring destruction down on her own head. Hopefully if war does break out the US and Israel will not fight with one hand tied behind its back.

Sounds like "Hamed" is doing the bidding of the Iranian government. Since when is an anonymous blogger the main source of information and commentary for a news story? Shame on YNET!

"Hopefully if war does break out the US and Israel will not fight with one hand tied behind its back."

Yes. I have no doubt the Iranian regime will pull out all the stops on terrorism. I also have no doubt the Iranian intelligence services are strongly represented in Western countries.

So, we may have to go on a war footing. There will be acts of terrorism, but better now than later. Iran is working on nuclear weapons, and most likely biological agents which may already be in place. Attacking Iran will carry a cost, but so will allowing Iran to continue developing weapons.

The US can avoid the mistakes of Iraq and Afghanistan by very thoroughly destroying any military facilities, and by toppling the present government. Then, GET OUT!!! No nation-building, no dismantling of the Iranian Revolutionary Party. Just achieve our military objectives and get out.

Hossein Ebrahimi, iranian govt. official declared an intent to annihilate Tel Aviv,a city of hundreds of thousands, as a reaponse to the destruction of iran's wmd.
Hossein Ebrahimi's name is now part of a list of genocidal
war crimes madmen who must be eliminated. These heads must be assuredly be killed, the world has the utmost responsibility to execute these lunatics before they get their opportunity to mass murder at will.

Predictions of soon to happen strikes on Iran have been going on for 7 years. I'm done.

They should create prize "Hero of Humanity" and award it to Yukiya Amano, the head of the UN's Atomic Agency, IAEA. This honest Japanese gentleman is diligently doing his work and speaking the truth.
And the CIA and US State Dept. liars who issued the evil "National Intelligence Estimate" in mid-November 2007, exactly 4 years ago almost to the day, saying that "Iran had stopped its nuclear program in 2003" ( ! ! ! ) should be put on trial for crimes against humanity.
And history will pass its harsh verdict on our entire nation, the United States of America for restraining Israel for years from bombing Iran. The time has now almost run out. The ultimate horror of Global Nuclear Jihad is ahead of all of us. And the responsibility for this evil will be on the head of our American nation. It is not just the human maggot Ron Paul. It is every US president, Republican and Democrat, starting with Carter, who had shirked his responsibility to deny the worst terrorist nation in the world history the nuclear weapon.
We had our chance to elect a man of courage, Rudy Giuliani, to the White House. It took the Republican Primary voters only 10 days to get rid of him. This was the most horrible blunder by the American people in our entire history, and it can turn out to be by far the costliest one.
