The French satirical weekly 'Charlie Hebdo' has ben fire-bombed earlier today, and in the words of an editor: "We no longer have a newspaper. All our equipment has been destroyed."

This is perhaps connected to its weekly edition being renamed 'Sharia Hebdo', with the Prophet Mohammed listed as the editor-in-chief.

Given the fact that it was a telephone poll, it's probably safe to assume that the error-margin in the poll was considerably larger than estimated. .call me paranoid with fair reason. .stats was never my forte.

Surprise, surprise, only 62% of Muslims in Canada want some sort of shariah in Canada. So the balance 38% are lying through their teeth!!! At least 62% admitted of their true intentions!!

Can anything good come from Ottawa? This invasion of Muslims is the direct result of Pierre Trudeau's declaration of multi-kulturalism in 1971. Though Pierre rots in hell, his spawn, Justin, is positioning himself to assume his "rightful" position as Canada's Beloved Leader.

More Shariah means less freedom. Total Shariah means no freedom at all!

Yes, no point for us to turn against each other based on nationality. As Mark Steyn has said, pretty much every country in the West has signed on to full-blown multiculturalism. While some countries may be further along than others, we're all going down the same road.

Canada and the United States may be the only places left that value free speech, freedom of assembly, and true religious freedom. Muslims are past masters in the creation of horizontal enmity among those they would divide and conquer. We must stand together
and fight any type of Sharia Law. Sooner or later we will be in a shooting war with Islam.

I should clarify that it is 62% of Muslim in Ottawa who want some form of sharia; the results might have been a little different had Canadian Muslims been sampled more broadly geographically.

That said, 62% is probably not far off, given the questions that were asked. (A previous study by Environics found about 53% support for sharia among Canadian Muslims, though some differences are likely due to the wording of the questions and the response options.

Unfortunately this study has the same failing as so many others, namely, that it fails to ask specific questions about the harsher aspects of sharia, such as support for the blasphemy laws, support for apostasy laws, etc.

Instead, the question and response options were limited in such a way that really only the hardest, most adamant, purest supporters of sharia would indicate their agreement with sharia, which is why support for "requiring" sharia for Muslims in Ontario was only 15%. The total of 62% comes from that 15% of hard-core sharia enthusiasts plus the 47% who supported the idea that individual Muslims should have the option practicing sharia in personal and family law (15 + 47 = 62). As for the remainder, 22% wanted no space or place for sharia in Ontario, while a disturbingly high 17% gave a "don't know" or "refused" type of response to the question. If we remove the "don't know/refused" responses and recalculate, the total support for some kind of sharia is approximately 75%.

The most disturbing aspect of the survey findings I've seen, thus far in my initial perusal, is the level of support for terrorist groups like Hamas (15%) and Hizballah (17%), and the high percentage of "don't know/ refused" types of responses. The latter indicate that (a) some Muslims are not being forthright and are not willing to cooperate with the study which deals with issues of great importance to the non-Muslim population, and (b) some--I suspect smaller percentage--of Muslims are genuinely ignorant and/or oblivious to these issues or have no opinion one way or the other.

Also disturbing is the comment at the end of the article cited by Marisol, where the author notes that the researchers could not get funding within Canada to conduct this study.

Mansur also complained about the "softball questions" given to Muslims in these kinds of surveys. I've been complaining about this same problem for years.

I read from friends that on Sunday in Vancouver there was a 13 hour long protest by hippies against the Holy Rosary Cathedral, the hippies being kept out by Catholic volunteers at the doors, police on the streets, the media not bothering to cover it. And later a fire-bombing of the Mercedes dealership uptown a mile. Little media coverage of that. So, if one were to poll Canadians to ask how many support leftist violence rather than how many support shari'a, one might find a number even more frightening than the number of Muslim extremists in Canada. It simply adds to the number of shari'a supporters, those who have no idea what shari'a is but who would bomb and beat people just because they hate Modernity. The Left is as terrible an enemy as Islam.

The key to the responses by Muslims for Shariah law is to listen to how they pretend to not fully endorse it but qualify their stance as being a Minority within a non-muslim Nation. Ergo....once they get a population that is large enough to be a threat and make Jihad demands for Shariah and a seperate State within canada...THEN they will fully embrace the violent and oppressive Shariah law.
The Canadian Human Right Commission is in Ottawa and they are aiding and abetting the radical Imam's making the Workplace and Schools Shariah-Compliant and getting more Hamas-friendly muslims into Government jobs and Police forces. In fact, canada's largest Police force just embraced the Hijab wearing muslims by changing the Uniform rule to allow a faith to be promoted in the workplace.
Toronto used to have a rule that the Uniform for Police had to be Faith-Nuetral so that everyone felt that they were treated equally no matter which Cop answered the call because there was a protestent/catholic divide , but slowly the Multicultural mind set has now created a list of Cops that now get called to answer calls based on the Colour,faith,Culture,language,gender,sexual preference, and income for which area you live in.

But what happened next was insulting to Mr.Fatah because the Muslim Cop came back and said that no charges would be made since it was a harmless prank by a teen and not worth the time .

In Islam, Mohammad's doctrine of taysir requires Muslims to enforce Sharia law when there are enough Muslims/Muslims in power to enforce it. In Islam it is an obligation to impose Sharia, which enforces Islamic principles, on the world. Mohammad's Allah declares Islamic law to be "divine" law, imposing abusive restrictions on women and requiring the killing of apostates from Islam and non-Muslims who criticize Islam, plundering non-Muslims and abusing them and murdering them. The enforcement of Islamic principles by Sharia law is basic to Islam. Liberal elitists try to claim that Sharia law is disconnected from Islam, but that is pure stupidity and tagiyya (Mohammad's deceit of war).

I really doubt that islam will reach a critical-mass to be a threat because the USA has the Gun laws to arm themselves and the muslims have made themselves easy targets with the Mosques and costumes unique to islam.

Multiculturalism was based on the mistaken idea that all cultures are equal and therefore should enjoy equal status in Canada.
Perhaps when the cultures were predominately of European descent a case might have been made for this idea.
But as soon as we started allowing in groups that were not European that policy was no longer even remotely realistic.
It was always a questionable idea at best, but it has now become a major threat to us since we have groups who advocate ideas that are totally foreign to what this country should stand for.
We need to start teaching our children to be Canadian first.
They will need to be united in the years ahead given the threats that they will inherit due to the idiotic voting habits of a majority of their elders.

I realize that Canada relies on immigrants to bolster our labour force. And yet, we must do a much better job of vetting these most fortunate people with regard to their ideological compatibility with the democracy that our forefathers and mothers have bequeathed us at the cost of their own blood. 
I will include a news article on a study by the Macdonald Laurier Institute which found that there is strong support for both sharia and al Qaida among Muslims living in Canada. Shame on us if we forfeit our glorious Dominion to it's enemies in a slavish pursuit of 'multiculturalism' .   I place multiculturalism in quotations because historic Canadian concepts of this idea were all about tolerance, and any notion of multiculturalism that countenances sharia -the antithesis of
tolerance is not what Canadians live and die for.
