Spreading hate and lies to captive audiences
Please contact Mercersburg Academy, a coed boarding high school in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania; this Monday, December 12, Islamic supremacist Reza Aslan is delivering the "Schaff Lecture on Ethics and Morals" -- a unfortunate choice, given the intellectually dishonest and deceptive Aslan's demonstrably unethical behavior over the years.
Even worse, the lecture notice says: "This is a required event for Mercersburg students and faculty."
One of the most unfortunate aspects of the politically correct straitjacket that binds contemporary public discourse is that deceitful mediocrities and intellectual flotsam and jetsam like Reza Aslan, who aren't capable of independent thought or of defending their own positions except with lies and scorn, are lauded and lionized by the clueless and compromised elites, solely because they parrot currently fashionable opinions.
Aslan poses as a modern, moderate Muslim, and fools many; in reality, however, he is a Board member of the president of the George Soros-funded National Iranian American Council (NIAC), a powerful Iranian lobbying group in Washington. Arash Irandoost of the Pro-Democracy Movement of Iran calls NIAC chief Trita Parsi "an intellectually dishonest regime apologist and an unofficial and unregistered lobbyist for the Iranian regime." According to Irandoost, "Trita Parsi contributes to the regime's agenda and serves the interests of those in power in the Islamic Republic of Iran, not the Iranians, nor the Iranian-Americans."
And the Progressive American-Iranian Committee says that when NIAC received funding for various projects from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), "NIAC's projects were approved and welcomed by the Iranian regime." NIAC coordinated its work inside Iran with Hamyaran, a "government initiated agency incepted [sic], initiated, founded and managed by the Iranian regime." NIAC even lobbied the U.S. Congress to "stop appropriating funds for independent democratic movements and NGOs that were not under Hamyaran or regime's control."
It is no surprise in light of Aslan's NIAC connection that he has tried to pass off Iran's genocidally-minded President Ahmadinejad as a liberal reformer. He has called on the U.S. Government to negotiate with Ahmadinejad himself, as well as with Hamas -- that is, with two of the most barbaric and murderous adherents of Sharia.
Aslan has even praised the jihad terror group Hizballah as "the most dynamic political and social organization in Lebanon," as well as the Jew-hating, women-hating, kuffar-hating Muslim Brotherhood, which is dedicated in its own words to "eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within." Aslan wrote: "The Muslim Brotherhood will have a significant role to play in post-Mubarak Egypt. And that is good thing." If, in 1932, someone had written that "the National Socialist Party will have a significant role to play in post-Weimar Germany, and that is a good thing," he would have rightly been called a Nazi sympathizer.
Aslan has also spoken at events sponsored by the Muslim Students Association, a Brotherhood group, and at an event co-sponsored by the Los Angeles chapter of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and moderated by the notorious Edina Lekovic, the Muslim Public Affairs Council flack whom Steve Emerson caught lying on national television, denying she was editor of a Muslim student publication that praised Osama bin Laden as a great mujahid. Emerson produced copies of the rag showing Lekovic's name on the masthead as editor on the very same page on which the praise for Osama appeared.
Why should the students of Mercersburg Academy be forced to listen to this lying Islamic supremacist? Please contact Mercersburg's Head of School, Douglas Hale, and politely and courteously ask him either to cancel the Aslan lecture or to allow equal time to a speaker with a pro-freedom perspective. I am confident that if Mercersburg Academy officials had known about Aslan's abject inability to defend his positions intellectually and his many ties to jihadists and Islamic supremacists, they would never have scheduled him to speak in the first place.

I have read that you are making it a required attendance event for the Mercersburg faculty and students to attend a lecture given by Reza Aslan....I do hope you have also scheduled a pro-freedom and pro America speaker as well. Please reconsider your decision to forcibly make it mandatory for faculty and student to attend this lecture given by a man who has designs to remove you from the planet...and to take away your freedoms. In Islam, Infidels (that would be non-Muslims such as yourself) three choices...One...you are invited to convert to Islam...two If you refuse to convert you are asked to pay the Jizyah (that is a tax imposed upon only non-Muslims to allow them to live under whatever conditions the Muslims impose upon you...and should you refuse that then the Muslims will kill you. This is what is happening in todays' world in many places, you have but to read about the plight of Christians in Pakistan, Iran, Somalia, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Saudia Arabia and many other places...Christians are being slaughtered by the very "religion" that Reza Aslan will present to you.

Students should learn to recognize propaganda and to deconstruct it.
How would the Iranian agent react if the presentation was framed as follows:

Mercersburg Academy is clearly clued-up when it comes to understanding and researching jihad and its's techniques and the 'required attendance' is a must, as is reading and studying the Qur'an, histories and Sahi ahadith. Nice work Mr Hale.

I dare say Aslan will quietly warn Mr Hale that to have a proponent of freedom speaking at the school may result in threats of violence, fire bombings or other effects of Islamophobia.

Folks, Mercersburg Academy was originally one of those liberal Protestant institutions which today would not be caught dead inviting a speaker who sincerely and honestly accepted the views of redemption, God, and Scripture taught by such people as Zwingli, Luther, Calvin, or Ursinus.
And, the faculty sponsors of this event probably don't see themselves as forcing propaganda on their charges. They probably see themselves as enlightened, broad-minded, tolerant, and "multi-cultural" by allowing the Ithna'ashariyya Shi'ite Muslim supremacist to speak.

Nothing wrong with that, actually, if part of the Spanish curriculum involved learning to read - and *acting* in - a certain Cervantes' series of brilliant little Islamocritical plays (yes, he didn't just write 'Don Quixote', he wrote PLAYS set in the Muslim world, and that do not flatter Muslims or Islam), and a non-PC study of his life and career, including his participation in Infidel self-defence against Jihad, and his sufferings as a kidnapped-and-held-to-ransom Infidel captive of Muslims....
Now *that* would be fun.
Imagine teaching Hispanic students that the term "Cold War' was actually invented in the Spain of the reconquista - Guerra Fria - and referred to the long periods of 'war of attrition' in between short periods of 'hot war', that characterised the centuries long process whereby they gradually freed themselves of their Muslim invaders, occupiers and imperial oppressors?
Imagine getting students to research the figure of 'St James Matamoros'...
No reason why a school with a 'hispanic' strand in its curriculum should not look steadily at whole at...Islam, jihad, sharia, dhimmitude, and ways of defending oneself against Jihad. There's a crying need for a solid debunking of the rosey 'golden andalucia' version of Spanish history. And perhaps an honest look at the wounding of Spanish culture by the sustained trauma of Islamisation; bad habits and attitudes and practices that look awfully like things absorbed or borrowed or imitated from the Muslims. They physically rid themselves of Muslims but then behaved '*like* Muslims in some respects.
I'm putting this out there in the hope that someone who teaches, say, in a Catholic parish school with Hispanic/ Latino students might get some bright ideas.
But I think if nothing else, an Islamosavvy teacher of Spanish - whether at high school or university level - could have some fun inspiring and helping put on 'underground' student productions of Cervantes' Islamocritical plays...Learn Spanish, revive a few little-known classics of western literature, and rid yourself of PC at one and the same time!
