Obama's Ambassador to Belgium blames Israel for Islamic antisemitism

Of course. It was the Mossad that managed to insert into the Qur'an the idea that the Jews were the worst enemies of the Muslims (5:82).

And what a surprise that Barack Obama, who has never met an antisemite he didn't like, would be associated with yet another anti-Israel, pro-jihad, self-hating Jew. Obama's many antisemitic associations are detailed in The Post-American Presidency.

Republicans are urging President Obama to reconsider his ambassador to Belgium after the ambassador told a conference in Europe that Israel is causing a new and understandable strain of anti-Semitism among Muslims in Europe, altogether separate from traditional hatred of Jews.
Speaking to the European Jewish Union and an association of Jewish lawyers in Brussels, Ambassador Howard Gutman said a distinction should be made between traditional anti-Semitism, which is the purview of people who hate everyone and not just Jews, and Arab and Muslim hatred for Jews, which can be explained by an inability to reach a two-state solution in Israel.

"There is significant anger and resentment and, yes, perhaps sometimes hatred and indeed sometimes an all too growing intimidation and violence directed at Jews generally as a result of the continuing tensions between Israel and the Palestinian territories and other Arab neighbors in the Middle East," Gutman told the group, according to a transcript of his remarks published in the European Jewish Press.

Gutman, who is Jewish and described how his father survived the Nazi occupation of Poland, also shared a video of himself receiving a warm welcome at a Muslim school in Brussels, and said it showed proof that Muslims are not anti-Semitic in general....

Gutman, who was a bundler for Obama in 2008 and raised $500,000, later reportedly said he regretted that his Nov. 30 remarks were misinterpreted.

Misinterpreted. Of course. They always are. No Leftist antisemite and no Islamic supremacist has ever made a statement that has been properly interpreted, just as no non-Muslim has ever quoted the Qur'an in context.

The clueless Jewish US ambassador to Belgium should be informed that he has it backwards. Islamic anti-semitism is the cause of the Arab-Israeli conflict, not the other way round.

The Quran calls Jews apes & pigs. Islam's "prophet" Mohammed variously massacred, enslaved, raped and expelled Jews from Arabia.

The psychopath paedophile "prophet" even instructed Muslims to exterminate Jews as piously documented in this infamous Hadith:

It's discouraging to reflect upon how many other Western ambassadors, American or not, who would share Gutman's woefully uninformed view here. The Western elites remain wilfully ignorant of Islam in the face of mountains of evidence contradicting their anodyne assessments of a religion which has fascism written all over it.

Since the name "Muslim" is used in his statement.....let it be known that their koran mentions the name Israel (even devoted a whole chapter to the children of Israel) but not once, does their koran ever mention the name palestine.

For some, this doesn't matter. But, it does matter. The muslims claim that they love their allah - even more than life. I say - they're hypocrites.....for if his words really did matter to them---they would in no way demand the name palestine be established in place of the name Israel.

The psychological phenomenon of the pro-jihad, self-loathing Jew is simultaneously fascinating and extremely sad. There are plenty in the US and Europe, but remarkably, almost as many in Israel itself.

Many think that appeasement of Islam by throwing Israel under the bus will bring peace; this is ignorant, wishful, and wilful thinking.
Israel is front and center in the battle between reason and faith. In the case of Islam it is certainly bad faith.
Let Egypt go Sharia please. With its lack of mental, moral, and physical resources it will demonstrate the impotence of Islamic faith.

Self imposed stupidity...The hallmark of the Rasulullah Obama administration...We do have an Rasool wrench, but we can't use it until 2012...In the mean time, we need a stupidity shovel called 'truth' to keep from being covered in Rasool crud...This administration is aiding and abetting our enemies and avoiding a charge of treason by word magick (trickery) cover-up...Half of the truth is that a number of high gov officials should be in prison...the other half is that it probably won't happen...Royalty is above the law...

There are also some noteable pro-jihad, self-loathing Christians, such as the arch-dhimmi of Canterbury.

But are there self-loathers in other religions? Are there self-loathing Hindus, Sikhs or Buddhists? Are there self-loathing Confucians, Taoists, Shintoists or Shamans? Come to that, are there any self-loathing Eastern Orthodox Christians?

Is this cultural death-wish a product of the Western post-colonialist liberal-left rather than intrinsic to the Judeo-Christian tradition?

Yes, I agree with your distillment, pokermutt. As I have many times written, Nazism/Neo-Nazism is secular fascism and Islam is spiritual fascism. Since the latter hides behind a religious veil, it possesss advantages that the secular type did not and still doesn't. Helps explain in part why Islam has been around for 1400 some years. Another way I like to put it is that Islam is the "perfect storm" of totalitarian ideologies. Like the shark, it is superbly adapted to its environment and doesn't need to evolve. That it hasn't should come as no surprise to anyone who knows it well. But, like the shark, Islam's a killer, an unrepentant destroyer of life, and its more "enthusiastic" adherents have shark eyes, which is to say dead eyes, and this is so immensely appropriate.

Is a "two-state solution" really what these good 'Arabs and Muslims' have in mind? Let's check out those welcoming Muslim students in Brussels again (from the website of Arab Students in Brussels):

Sound more like a call for the total annihilation of Israel than for a "two-state solution" to me. And, of course, "Arab" should read "Muslim".

Up to 30% of the population of Brussels is now Muslim—perhaps all too apt for the seat of the EU...

There's lots more that the study covers, including the conclusion that "Antisitism among the students is theologically inspired and there is a direct connection between being a Moslem and a feeling of antismitic sentiment".
