Pakistan: Heightened jihad threat at churches as Christmas approaches

LAHORE: The police met with Christian leaders to discuss security measures at churches on Monday, after intelligence reports warned of a heightened threat of terrorist attacks on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, The Express Tribune has learnt.
The intelligence report named 20 churches in Lahore as “sensitive”, while describing security at all 433 churches in the city as “inadequate”.

The report said that terrorists planned to target Christian gatherings on December 24 and 25.

The report was forwarded to the capital city police officer (CCPO) and others asking that the police act to secure Christian places of worship, particularly the 20 most vulnerable churches.

DOG (Operations) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar met with Christian leaders later on Monday to discuss security, according to a press release. He said that 2,000 policemen would be deployed to protect the 433 churches in the city and all security arrangements would be finalised by December 22.

The police categorised 38 churches in the city as most vulnerable to attack. The DIG said that each of these ‘category A’ churches would get a deployment of one officer and seven junior personnel including snipers to be deployed on rooftops.

The DIG said that walkthrough gates would be installed at the category A churches and that policewomen and Christian volunteers would search people with metal detectors at A and B category churches.

He said that 39 churches were in category B, 187 in C and 179 in D.

Asked if he was satisfied with the security measures, Reverend Shahid Mehraj of the Lahore Cathedral Church, who attended the meeting, said the country was in a war-like situation and it was a dangerous place.

“Security lapses are always possible,” he said, “but we can’t just blame the government and its agencies for that, it is also the public’s responsibility.”

CCPO Ahmed Raza Tahir said that the police would do their best to ensure “foolproof security” at churches, particularly at those declared vulnerable....

There is no such corresponding threat to Mosques in the West on Muslim holidays. In fact, the only threat to Mosques and their worshippers on Muslim holidays is from *other-sect Muslims*.

Christmas is a favorite time for Muslims to attack Christians. Take an innocent, joyful holiday, and turn it into an occasion for fear and death.

This is the last thing Christians/minorities in Pakistan need! Attacks from Muslims during festive season but the minorities have no choice because the government and authorities eventually turn a blind eye or cover up for the 'good muslims' who planned and executed the attacks!! If the government takes action, well, the whole town with knives and swords greets the policemen at gates and if some minister raises his/her voice.. Damn! He/She is swiftly shot by 'unknown assassins' within a week! So the cycle continues and the cases are backlogged(forgotten) accordingly! Who said Hell is a 'unique' place by itself? Those who do, haven't heard of Pakistan!

I just don't understand what a 'moderate Muslim' is all about other than just being like a 'regular Muslim' who uses sly of hand to misinform, lie and cheat!?

Time to use these examples and hold up a mirror at CAIR to show how stupid their "Backlash" alert fear mongering is when a Crime is committed outside of the USA.

We can just post a "Backlash" alert for Churches in the USA and Canada where they exist among a large Pakistani/Muslim population and should Beef-Up security and tell Christian females to travel in groups for safety.

Makes sense to me because those "islamophobes" over seas can trigger the SJS attack in America where their Brothers must defend islam and Allah all around the World no matter where they live.
It's not as if any Nation on Earth has not experienced the poverty and violence imported to their soil by enclaves or entire villages from islamic nations pouring in and then demand Special-Rights while exploiting the "Victimhood" status from bogus islamophobia hate-crimes.

Since most crimes come about BECAUSE of a quasi-hatred for social values and moral structures some people have disdain and contempt for.......then tell me Mr.Hooper , which CRIME is motivated by someones love or kindness for the victim or Society because I have never seen a Prisoner opine about how they assaulted someone because is was a display of affection and appreciation.
Every violent act by a criminal stems from a inner Hatred of something, and every Court and Judge reviews the motives before a Sentence is given because anger and hate can be managed from Therapy while in jail.....BUT...indoctrinated Murderous Jihad from a Holy Book does not have to make sense and usually can not be purged from a corrupted mind .

Meanwhile, in England, raiders go on a pre-Christmas church-wrecking spree. The police are putting it down to ordinary criminality, but as they're not putting much effort into finding the perpetrators, it's likely that we'll never know.

As for Irshad , I used to have faith in her inner project to reform islam and enlighten muslims that still read the 6th century tenets of islam and the quran that gets used in todays era as the PURE and True version.
But, she quickly joined the islamists in a debate when she opined about islam being the Perfect faith and that Muhammed was from god and the perfect man to emulate .
Sorry Irshad, you can believe in what you want and try to change the Quranic Contexts for Verses that appear to promote violence and Misogyny , but don't you dare try to claim that only you and muslims have the answers for Social Justice and Human Rights because your very own Prophect raped a little girl which is a crime in the West under the law against Pedophilia or child-abuse.
You also leave out the 50+ violent Wars and actual murders done by Muhammed himself as detailed in the Quran,and because of this I found myself perceiving you as covering-up islam dirt and truth which is what CAIR often does to play the Victim and cry islamophobia.

As for islam's History and gifts to the World as Irshad asserts , Robert should Write another book about the Truth
for islam contributions to the World because my research found that it was mostly the Dhimmi's inside calipahtes that Invented or Created most of the modern day Math and Mechanics . Islam can NOT try to calim they Invented the #5 or showed farmers how to add 3 sheep and 9 sheep and then share the flock among 3 family memebers to have 3 sheep each.
I want islam and CAIR to show the names of these Muslims and then prove they were muslims because what i read showed that islam hijacked the texts from jews and Christians and then hijacked the Inventions by the non-muslims within the Society.
Just imagine if in 500 years the Islam in the USA trie to claim all the Inventions from Henry Ford or Tomas Edison along with Steve Jobs just because the USA may become a muslim nation .

Stealing Intellectual Property
