Collectively punishing dhimmis—non-Muslims who refused to convert after their lands were seized by Muslims, and who are treated as "second-class" infidels—for the crimes of the individual is standard under Islam. In this instance, dhimmis are forbidden from striking—let alone killing—Muslims, even if the latter perpetrate the conflict. Prior to the fight that killed him, the Muslim in question had, through the help of radical Salafis, burned down the Christian's home and was threatening him over a property dispute. Still, non-Muslims are forbidden to raise their hands to Muslims, even in self defense.
Collectively punishing Egypt's Christians is common. Earlier this year, when a Christian was accused of dating a Muslim woman, 22 Christian homes were set ablaze to cries of "Allahu Akbar"; when Muslims made false accusations against another Christian, one was killed, ten hospitalized, an old woman thrown out of her second floor balcony, and homes and properties were plundered and torched, as documented in a report aptly titled "Collective Punishment of Egyptian Christians."...

Police rescue 50 boys from Karachi madrassa dungeon
Police have rescued more than 50 boys, some in shackles, from a warren of rooms beneath a madrassa in Pakistan's largest city, Karachi.
Officers raided the dungeon, equipped with hooks and chains, after a tip-off that children as young as seven were being beaten and abused.
Television pictures showed them singing and dancing as they were released from the underground maze of rooms.
Some of the children said they had been enrolled by their parents to cure them of curses or to be treated for drug addiction.
One said he had been beaten 200 times and another said he had been told he would be forced to join the militant Jihad if he tried to escape.
Azmat Ulla, a 17-year-old student, said his father sent him there because he suffered fits and could be violent.
"My father took me to several spiritual healers who said I was a victim of black magic," he told the AFP news agency.
"Three months ago I was admitted here.
"My father pays 3,000 rupees (£22) per month to the madrassa as a fee to make me a normal person, but I still suffer from fits and despite that they kept me chained and beat me with sticks ruthlessly."

Well, who set the example here?
Back in 627, Mohammed knew the names of the Nadir Jews who responded to his aggression by teaming up with his pagan enemies. He also knew the names of the Qurayza Jews who considered teaming up with the Nadir (although, in the end, they did not do so). So how did Mohammed deal with this political dissidence? He killed six hundred Qurayza who had had nothing to do with the political situation, including some boys as young as twelve. He also killed the three Nadir men, of course; but then he assassinated two more Nadir without any proof that they had had anything to do with, well, anything. Not quite enough killing to make the point? A year later, Mohammed mounted a military campaign to destroy the whole tribe.
Respect for elderly ladies? Google for Umm Qirfa. She probably was a political dissident, but again, who initiated the hostilities in this situation? And why was she killed in this particular manner?

I think it is incumbent for Mr. Ibrahim to press the case even more. The immediate concern is to somehow get the Copts out of the country that wish to leave, and cannot, for some reason. That is the most urgent goal.
Many have, fortunately, left already. Those who can't, need help.

Muslims all throughout dar al Islam, throughout their history, have routinely and reflexively employed Collective Punishment. Their responses to offense - often perceived, imaginary, or blatantly fabricated offence - is very often grossly disproportionate.
Today, they can deploy that as a threat, to emotionally blackmail members of non-Muslim communities outside their immediate control.
Today, even an organisation normally as clear-headed as the Barnabas Fund refuses to accept that it might be necessary for Israel or the USA to bomb Iran to destroy Iran's nuke project (which, if not stopped, will lead, sooner or later, to the nuking of Israel and very likely an EMP attack on the USA, or the outright nuking of any number of non-Muslim countries, to the tune of millions upon millions of deaths and perhaps even the sinking of the world into a permanent Islamic Dark Age). They actually - and this really shocked me - explicitly warn *against* taking any such action.
Why? Because they fear that if and when such an attack is made, the Iranian Muslims will turn upon the Christian community in Iran even more savagely than they are already doing.
In other words: the Christians in Iran are hostages, and the sympathy of their fellow Christians in the rest of the world is being deliberately manipulated and made use of by the Muslims, to get those fellow Christians to campaign *against* any attempt to damage Iran's genocidally-intended Jew-hating (and, indeed, Hate-All-Infidels nuke project.
But: woe, woe to any non-Muslim who dares to generalise about *Muslims*!
How many times have we heard people weeping and wailing and accusing Israel of engaging in 'collective punishment' of the local Arab Muslims; or claiming that whatever action Israel has taken, when it acts to defend itself against Arab Muslim assaults, is 'disproportionate'?
How many times do Mohammedan dementors and boggarts at this very forum, warn us against tarring all Muslims with the same brush?
Muslims view grossly disproportionate collective punishment of non-Muslims as their right; while screaming with rage at the very idea that non-Muslims might do anything at all similar, to Muslims, after members of the Ummah have attacked and harmed non-Muslims.
Such persistent malignant narcissism is revoltingly ugly.
Collective punishment is very Islamic. There was a little German idiot, about seventy years ago, with a silly little moustache and he and his SS friends behaved very much like Muhammad. They were certainly very much into collective punishment.
