Saudi Arabia arrests Ethiopian Christians for prayer meeting, but charges them with "mixing with opposite sex"

The Saudis apparently fear the international opprobrium that could come upon them if they charge these Christians simply with holding a Christian prayer meeting, which is, in fact, illegal in the Kingdom of the Two Holy Places. This shows again the brittleness of Islamic supremacism: Islamic supremacists cannot stand to be challenged. That's why they have to try to shut down Western freedom of speech. That's why they do not and cannot answer the arguments that anti-jihadists bring forth, but instead sling ad hominems and abuse. And that's why they're hiding the persecution of these Christians behind the fig leaf of "mixing with the opposite sex" charges: the whiff of immorality is something they hope will blunt religious conservatives' outrage at their persecution of Christians.

This brittleness and fear, however, shows that we have to keep pushing. We have to keep speaking the truth and standing for human rights. The Islamic supremacists know they can't defend their positions, and so have to try to hide what they're doing and shout us down. But the more we expose them, the weaker they get.

An update on this story. "Saudi Arabia Arrests Ethiopian Christians For 'Mixing With Opposite Sex,'" from International Christian Concern, December 21 (thanks to Wimpy):

Washington, D.C. (December 21, 2011)-International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that the Ethiopian Christians who were arrested seven days ago in Saudi Arabia for holding a prayer meeting are now being charged by Saudi officials with mixing with the opposite sex. In Saudi Arabia, it is illegal for men and women (non-family) to be in the same room together.

The six men and 29 women were holding a weekly prayer meeting on December 15 when the Saudi police arrested them. Christian leaders say that the accusation of “mixing with the opposite sex” is only an excuse, and believe that the Christians were arrested for practicing their faith. The Christians have not yet been brought before any court.

The Saudi officials are accusing the Christians of committing the crime of mixing of sexes because if they charge them with meeting for practicing Christianity, they will come under pressure from the international human rights organizations as well as Western countries. In fact, when an employer of one of the detainees asked for the reason for their employee’s arrest, the Saudi official told him that it was for practicing Christianity,” said a church leader from Saudi Arabia in an interview with ICC....

"How can we remain silent while Christians are being persecuted?

"A new evil is sweeping the Middle East and the Foreign Office is failing to confront it."

“mixing with the opposite sex” à la Muhammad:
Muhammad, his cousin Ali and his child bride Aisha spend the night under the same quilt. Later that night, Muhammad gets up for the night prayer. Aisha and Ali stay in bed!?!?

It's not just a little strange to consider that the sexes mix in Saudi Arabia all the time, truth be told.

It goes on at the supermarkets.

The "mixing" is particularly noticeable in the vegetable section and cookie aisle.

It's another one of their dirty little secrets.

Robert is 100% correct. We must keep exposing Islam using its own words for its "holy" sources. We must not let any infraction of human rights go unprotested.

Now that Obama (pbuh) has signed on the UN bill outlawing criticism of religion we should frame these persecutions as that, criticism of Christianity. Turn the law back on them; it will at least prove to even the most libtarded libtard the true intent of that law.

Merry Christmas to all, especially Muslims.

-for all the "cultures are sacred" crowd:

the Saudis are expert at letting people know Muhammad's tribe is the one to follow, i.e., no equivalents allowed

Here is another insane Ruling by a candian Human Rights body that once again shows to be Shariah Law friendly which the Toronto Police dept. now embraces even after the 4 murders of female Muslims that DIDN'T want to wear one as a candian.

http://news.nationalpost.com/2011/12/20/quebec-decision-to-allow-prison-guards-to-wear-islamic-hijabs-draws-oppositions-ire/

Seems that the Dawah in canadian jails will now have a muslim-mole to sneak items in and out of the Prison , or relay Terrorist plots to outside Jihadists via Hijab-Jane that now gets paid by can dian taxes to spread Whahhabism in canada which CAIR's Dr.Sheema Khan tried for many years.
The only reason I could think for a female Muslim to want to get accesss to the Federal Prisons via a Guards Job is because the Jihadist islamists are forcing them to get inside under the guise of Multiculturalism and Religion as Protected in the Charter Of Rights.

How many more Honour Killings of Brown-females must the Feminists allow to happen until they wake-up and see that the Quruan and Muslims Males are at the root causes and NOT the lame excuse by CAIR-Canada that it's "Domestic-Violence".
BTW
CAIR often insists that Muslims have the lowest rates for being in Prisons , and yet CAIR had boasted on their Website that a canadian Prison had hired a Imam full-time to cater tot he large muslim population.
Now the Prison must cater to the men who don't want to be touched by the filthy Infidels and may have demanded a female Muslim guard. This is the islamic Make-Work programs in action to sponge off the infidels that pay taxes to indirectly futther Jihad and Dawah.
Just fill the prison and cost Society $$$million to keep muslims housed there, demand a Imam be brought in , then demand female muslims get jobs in the prisons. I really doubt that any female muslim in the 100 years of islam in canada has demanded a job in Prisons when that vast majority of prisoners were non-muslims or 100% infidels.

Creeping Sharaih .

Michigan could also pass a law to ban mixing, without any reference to religion.

But in any OIC member country the will of the people will always be just a mirage, until Islamic Sharia law is placed into a benign dust bin of history.

If Saudi Arabia wants to claim religious neutrality here, then let them go whole hog.

“The Saudi officials are accusing the Christians of committing the crime of mixing of sexes because if they charge them with meeting for practicing Christianity, they will come under pressure from the international human rights organizations as well as Western countries. Yep...because everyone knows what a hotbed of sensuality those *weekly prayer meetings are*...(rolls eyes)

"This brittleness and fear, however, shows that we have to keep pushing. We have to keep speaking the truth and standing for human rights."

Agreed completely. When enough people knows the truth about Islam, and the dangers of both radicals and "moderates (radicals in disguised)," this will naturally lead to a mass rebellion, and thus a highly aggressive counter measure on a massive scale, against this evil.

The key, which will lead to victory, is when enough people knows the truth.

Call Saudi Arabia's bluff here, not just Ethiopian Christians but any Christians in SA, and openly and very publicly agree to hold future Christian mettings in SA with men only or women only in such meetings. One step at a time is good enough to expose Islam's massive intolerance for what it is.

The irony is that Saudi Arabia is a key US ally in the Middle East.

It's pretty well known that the Saudis leave skilled foreign workers, like oil company employees, alone, as long as they stay on the compounds and don't become too conspicuous. Saudi Arabia's primary goal is to maintain the royal family in the manner to which they have become accustomed. They can afford to bully Ethiopian workers, who are probably primarily unskilled or domestic labor. Also, their government is weak.

The first Gulf War was supported financially by Saudi Arabia, because the Saudi government was terrified, probably with good reason, that Iraq would get ideas about gobbling up Saudi Arabia after digesting Kuwait.

Here's the point. The thought of getting involved in protecting governments like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait is disgusting. The US should not be providing military assistance to any of these countries, unless a direct defense interest is threatened. Likely, if we didn't have the tremendous petroleum drain of Bush's military adventures in Iraq (thankfully over with) and Afghanistan, probably the US would be quite able to adapt to getting all its oil from domestic supplies, Canada, the North Atlantic, and South America.

For the illusion of looking just like a law in a secular country to be more complete would these Ethiopians have to be viewed as having a right to vote in Saudi Arabia. That is, they might dilute the vote.

Grown men and women cannot so much as smile and say "how's it going?" To one another, But, grown men can marry children, and have more than one spouse, and sex slaves on the side. Islam; the religion of hypocrisy.

Islam's brittleness results from the need to accept the Koran as the literal word of God. One small flaw in the Koran is like a tiny crack in a windshield - sufficient to make the whole structure disintegrate. So it's an all-or-nothing cult.

Other religions' scriptures don't have this vulnerability - at least not to the same extent: http://crombouke.blogspot.com/2011/03/how-to-destroy-islam-non-violently.html

The news media ignores all this of course. Even around Christmas they ignore it. The only place that consistently reports on what's happening to Christians in the middle east is the 700 Club. Whatever you think of Pat Robertson, or if you haven't watched it in years, check it out.

Hey,hold it just one minute, didn't the UN sign an agreement just this past week that says there should be no doing or saying mean things based on religion? What the heck!!!. Bring the Saudi ambassador in front of the UN guys who regulate that sort of stuff. And tell him at the same time that there is no such thing as witches. Only jinns.

Good point, Gail. If course, everyone knows that UN "agreement" will only be invoked on Islam's behalf...
