Taliban jihadi in Afghan army murders two French soldiers

As I have said many times in the context of many similar incidents in Iraq and Afghanistan, there is no reliable way to distinguish a peaceful Muslim from a jihadist. This is yet more fruit of the unwillingness to make even a cursory attempt to take that fact into account.

And every few weeks (the last time was November 10), I find the paragraph above in the archives and post it again.

KABUL — A man wearing an Afghan army uniform fatally shot two French service members in eastern Afghanistan on Thursday, military officials said, the latest in a string of similar attacks that the Taliban claims to have masterminded.
Hours later, a roadside bomb killed 10 Afghan police officers in southern Helmand province, an attack that authorities said was among the deadliest against Afghan security forces this year.

“It was the work of the enemies, the Taliban, who have suffered a defeat in face-to-face fighting and only resort to planting mines like these," said Dawood Ahmadi, a spokesman for Helmand’s governor.

Doesn't Dawood Ahmadi know that the Taliban aren't the enemy? Joe Biden said so!

The two attacks marred what has been a relatively quiet winter in Afghanistan, a season during which violence tends to ebb because the snow and cold temperatures limit mobility.
Still, sporadic attacks continue, including the suicide bombing outside a funeral in northern Afghanistan on Sunday that killed 20 people, including a member of parliament.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the shooting of the French soldiers in a statement, which said a rogue soldier named Ibrahim joined the “puppet army” for a “specific purpose.” The statement said Ibrahim shot the French troops on a base in Kapisa province.

“He was shot and martyred by the invaders in exchange of fire,” the Taliban statement said....

Ibrahim joined the Afghan Army in order to kill coalition soldiers. How many Ibrahims are there in the US military at this very moment?

Simple really. Muslims can NEVER be trusted so pull out now.
No-one has ever bettered Afghanistan because the warlords always hold sway and they come from everywhere. M would have been proud.
Unless the Afghanistanis are prepared to challenge that situation then nothing will ever change. They won't, ever.

Bleeding heart liberals countenance against destroying the poppy fields because farmers will become destitute. The Taliban - those who get THE financial benefit - couldn't care less except re loss of income.
Unless the people of Afghanistan are presented with very stark choices then nothing will change.
PULL OUT NOW AND LEAVE THE AFGHANS TO THEIR DESTINY.

In the original Bible (not the one rewritten by Mohammad 600 years later), St. Paul says that the community sends forth the evangelists, supporting them financially and with their prayers, and that they will share in the reward of an evangelist for saving souls. In Islam (the antithesis of Christianity), the ummah (Muslim world) supports jihad with their zakat, money given to Islamic charities which can ONLY help Muslims and Muslim causes (jihad) and passively (e.g., harboring jihadists in their homes, refusing to work with the FBI, etc.), and will eventually be rewarded with the plunder of those that are conquered by jihad.

Here's an article about a little book that perhaps needs to be translated into all the languages used by non-Muslim soldiers currently serving in the hellpits of dar-al-Islam - and ALSO by law enforcement officers in countries afflicted with large and aggressive Mohammedan colonies.

"Soldier's guide to surviving Afghanistan war - written 92 years ago".

'A SOLDIER’S guide to surviving war in Afghanistan will go on public display – 92 years after it was written.

'A 24-page diary by Corporal Charles Kavanagh, written in 1919, told how insurgents ambushed and murdered British soldiers.

'He even described how Afghan militia would dress as women in burkas to approach a British camp.

'Cpl Kavanagh lied about his age to join the Cheshire Regiment at 15 and was sent to the Third Anglo-Afghan War in May to August 1919.

'He wrote: “The endurance and experience gained by the tribesman from years of incessant raiding make him a formidable enemy.

'He will sometimes hide his rifle and appear as a peaceful villager.”

{This reminds me of a bon mot circulating in the English speaking world - "Q: How do you turn an Afghan civilian into a Taliban? - A: Turn your back on him" - dda}.

'One tip to young recruits was:
“Avoid shaking hands with a strange Pathan. They will seize with their left hand and stab with their right.”

'Cpl Kavanagh continued serving with the British army and was evacuated from Dunkirk in 1940. He died in 1992, aged 87.

'His son Len said: “It sounds like they were up against a cunning enemy.

“The methods used to lure soldiers were probably handed down through generations, except now they use IEDs and suicide bombers.

“It is depressing to think that 92 years has passed but nothing has changed.”

'Len, of Urmston, Greater Manchester, has handed the diary to the Cheshire Regiment’s Museum."
