"Islamophobia" -- i.e., the truth about Islam and its jihad doctrine -- had "crept in" to law enforcement training. Now that is all over, and we will all pretend that Islam and terrorism have nothing to do with one another, nothing whatsoever, and that jihad terror is a "public safety issue." And what about Islamic supremacism and the stealth jihad? Such things do not exist at all!
However, in unveiling this ridiculous new strategy for defeat, Quintan Wiktorowicz of the National Security Council ticks off a few warning signs that someone might be a terrorist. Among them: "Are they talking about the kuffar [unbelievers]?" Now, wait a minute. "Wiktorowicz said the new program will focus on behavior, not religion or appearances." But then moments later he turns around and says that a "behavioral signal" could include "talking about the kuffar." But that's what Muslims do, Wiktorowicz! The Qur'an is full of imprecations against, appeals to, warnings about, and exhortations to warfare against the kuffar! Are you suggesting that every Muslim who rails against the kuffar is a potential terrorist? Isn't that focusing on religion, which is exactly what you said you would not do?
This just shows that the Obama Administration is trying to do something that is simply impossible: fight against jihad terror without naming it as such, or saying anything about it that Muslims might find offensive. But Islamic supremacists in the U.S. claim to be offended by any mention of anything Islamic in connection with jihad terror.
And so I am sure that once Honest Ibe Hooper of Hamas-linked CAIR (he has Jihad Watch bookmarked) reads this, he will get Quintan Wiktorowicz on the phone pronto, and tell him to cut out all this talk about how a Muslim railing against the kuffar might be someone worth watching for possible jihad terror activity. And I am just as certain that Quintan Wiktorowicz will meekly comply, and vacuum even his own statements and his own mind of any and all traces of truth or accuracy about the jihad terror threat, and further cripple law enforcement agents' ability to understand what they're dealing with in regard to jihad terrorism.

The Department of Homeland Security will review the training and evaluate experts to weed out any lurking anti-Muslim bias. The idea is to inject some quality control into the training process. Wiktorowicz said the new program will focus on behavior, not religion or appearances.
"There are potential behavioral signals," he said. "For example, has someone in the community seen them watching violent extremist videos? Are they publicly coming out in defense of Osama bin Laden? Are they talking about the kuffar [unbelievers]? That's not enough alone, but if that is in a combination of other things, that's what we are looking for."
Well, he may not be able to bring himself to actually say the name of the beast, but he certainly knows how to recognise it!

The only way of removing the threat of terrorism is to destroy Islam. Until the authorities recognize this, we will suffer defeat after defeat.

First, Islam ain't a religion. It's much more than that. It's also gubmint and military. That being so, it would be highly dangerous to treat them simply as a religious group, now wouldn't it? Second, religions are based on their scriptures, their texts. We're not responsible for what's in the Ko-Ran, Hah-Deaths and Sear-Rah, Moslems are. Third, has it ever occurred to anybody in the news entertainment industry to crack on of these books and read aloud? On camera, that is. But I'd take having one of them actually doing that at home in his den as a consolation prize.

I agree with you, kind of, Aardvark. Major Hassan threw off strong signals for months before his shooting spree. The problem was, any notice of his deteriorating behavior would involve mention of Islam, so he got a pass.
The problem is, bringing Islam into a report will obviously threaten the career of a security official or federal agent. So, there is no real penalty for doing nothing, but a strong penalty for acting, if one missteps in the minefield of political correctness.
I'm afraid our security agencies are picking off the crazies who act alone and broadcast their intentions. But, any organized jihad activity will obviously put first priority into putting on a normal face. Behavioral cues will catch some lone-wolfs, but still leave us helpless against the organized, planned terror activity.
For this reason, it is vital that law enforcement maintain discreet monitoring of mosques and Islamic organizations.
By the way, there is a terrorist threat from groups other than Muslims. I would not be surprised for Mexican drug gangs to increase terror activity in the United States, particularly if they begin to see themselves as losing in Mexico.
Muslim immigration is a known quantity, however. We know that as the number of Muslims in the US increase, the proportion of Muslim terror-related activity will increase. One of the best preventatives is to stop Muslim immigration.
