Hamas honcho addresses rally in Tunis; crowd of 5000 chants "Death to Israel," "The army of Muhammad is back," and "Kill the Jews, it is our duty"

From our We Tried to Tell You Department, which, you'll recall, tried to tell you. "Gaza leader promises 'difficult days' for Israel," from Agence France-Presse, January 8:

The prime minister in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip on Sunday promised "difficult days" for Israel, and at a rally in Tunis urged Arab Spring revolutionaries to fight for an independent Palestine.
Ismail Haniya received an ovation from the crowd of some 5,000 men, women and children gathered in a stadium waving Palestinian, Tunisian and Hamas flags.
"Israel no longer has allies in Egypt and in Tunisia, we are saying to the Zionist enemies that times have changed and that the time of the Arab Spring, the time of the revolution, of dignity and of pride has arrived," he said to loud cheers.
"We promise you that we will not cede a single part of Palestine, we will not cede Jerusalem, we will continue to fight and we will not lay down our arms," he said. He urged "the people of the revolution to fight the army of Al-Quds" as Jerusalem is known in Arabic.
"To Tunisia we say: 'It is us today who are going to build the new Middle East'."
Haniya insisted "We will not recognise Israel", as the crowd chanted: "Death to Israel", "The Tunisian revolution supports Palestine", and "The army of Mohammed is back".
Some wiped their feet on the Star of David.
Haniya arrived in Tunis on Thursday for a five-day visit at the invitation of the new Islamist-led Tunisian authorities. He has also visited Egypt, Sudan and Turkey and will next travel to Qatar and Bahrain.
Hamas is considered a terrorist organisation by Western powers.
Haniya's visit does not sit well with representatives of the Palestinian Authority led by president Mahmud Abbas. One source told AFP: "The Palestinians are furious."
Jews in Tunisia asked the government earlier Sunday to take steps to avoid a repeat of anti-Semitic slogans chanted during the Hamas leader's visit.
"No Tunisian should be insulted, and the government must take measures to ensure this incident is never repeated," Peres Trabelsi, a representative of Tunisia's small Jewish population, told AFP after the incident.
And the chief rabbi of Tunis, Haim Bittan, said: "Certain members of the community were frightened after this incident, but you have to make a distinction between the situation in the Middle East and here."

Not "Zionists," but "Jews":

Islamist activists welcoming Haniya were heard chanting slogans like: "Kill the Jews, it is our duty", along with anti-Israeli and pro-Palestinian messages.
"There are no Zionists in Tunisia and we don't want to be mixed into the problems of the Middle East," said Trabelsi. "Tunisia is our country."
Tunisia has one of the Arab world's largest Jewish minorities, numbering about 1,500 individuals in a population of more than 10 million.
The population has shrunk drastically from the 100,000 Jews who lived in Tunisia after independence in 1956....

heh, heh...I was thinking you could have a "we tried to tell you" tab listing all such instances, but you'd more or less have the entire site under it, wouldn't you?

With repsect to the above piece, it's business as usual, isn't it? Nothing extreme happening here...

I know there are Muslims who read this site and possibly this page. In all due respect, could a knowledgable Muslim please explain to me the difference between contemporary Islamic Jihad to expand the Islamic Ummah, and the expansionist policies and politics of Nazi Germany in the late 1930s?

I do not mean the tactical difference (Blitzkrieg vs suicide bomber, etc.), and of course Adolf Hitler did not claim to speak for God (for all eternity). But seriously, how does the world vision of an Islamic Jihadist differ from that of a committed Nazi?

To my mind, the call for extermination of the Jews and a global, tolitarian government that enforces a single ideology to the exclusion of all others via deadly force, seem indistinguishable.

This may not be the place to do it, but I am asking a Muslim to explain how Islam as a faith differs from that of Nazi political thought. If there is no difference, then why are we not waging all out, total thermonuclear war against Islam, since it is merely Naziism under the guise of a religion?

I respectfully thank you for your time.

Islam is just as bad as Nazi-ism ever was. Nazis planned to take over the entire world, to make it the "Lebensraum" of the Germans... Muslims claim the entire world was originally their Lebensraum, that anyone that is not a Muslim has stolen it from Muslims, and that it rightfully belongs to Muslims.

The rest of the world, besides the West, sees how evil this is and that it would be BAD for it to come about because it means the destruction of all other nations and cultures - but also the truth, the truth that it wasn't originally a Muslim world as they claim first of all, but all other truth after that.

The West that dealt with the Nazis could easily deal with Islam, but since then the West has become handicapped and naive. Westerners think everyone is good, all cultures are good, all religions are good, something anthropologists call "naive realism." At the same time we deny that cultures/religions influence people to do things, which flies straight in the face of the whole anthropological definition of culture: A culture is a learned set of ideas that *generates behavior.* Islam influences people to take over the world, but the culture of the West has become spineless, and makes people spineless - unable to stand up to evil or falsehoods.

...chanting slogans like: "Kill the Jews, it is our duty",....

hi Stephen! as a former muslim I can explain this. I think I can.

there is a huge diffirence between islamists and Nazis.

while hitler wanted to dominate the whole world(Europe for sure)his movement was based on advancing a race. Aryn's that is. Islam on the other hand and its book Koran are the word of god, it is asbolute and can not be debated or altered. as far as Islam is concerned, any non muslim is Kafir ans far as the islamists go they must spread the word of Islam unitl everyone the world becomes a muslim. you could just see the plight of non muslims in the muslim world. in Iran where I was born and raised, non muslims can not hold office, can not join the military and can not vote either. so this helps out.
M

Thank you Merium.

I have kids and I am very worried about where the world is headed. It just so looks like humanity is about to get dragged through this whole global conquest for a 'higher-cause' thing again; this time over religion. Since Hitler is dead, people have to dig up a dead Hitler and parade him around as the new Fuhrer, except this time around he is also the mouthpiece of God.

Despite its detractors, this website seems to be genuinely trying to influence things in a positive direction. I like to think of myself as a balanced person, but this daily slaughter of non-Muslims (and insufficiently devout or 'the wrong sect' Muslims) being carried on by Islamists all over the world while the western media pretend it is not happening is beginning to tick me off. Do these people have no shame at all? Is that why we find them so impossible to understand, because we cannot conceive to hold our fellow humans on this world in such utter and total contempt that we would slaughter them like vermin over...religion?

Please allow me to repost the following:

A message to my nephew from an aging “bigoted” uncle

Mark:

On several occasions now I have tried in a calm, sincere and forthright manner to express to you my deeply-held concern over and contempt for the ideology of islam and what I believe to be the coming dark ages associated with the unrestricted and continuing capitulation to the intolerant demands of members of this so-called “religion of peace”.

I have tried to explain to you the history of islam from the lie of mohammad as the perfect human being, to the reasons behind the crusades, the atrocities of the Barbary coast pirates, 1400 years of islamic aggression and terrorism, the Cole, the embassy bombings, 911 and the tally of some 18,000 separate acts of terrorism since then.

I have tried to point out the history of savagery and the massacres of more than 200 million souls at the hands of this ideology and have attempted to make a comparisons to Nazi Germany with the jihadi goal of world conquest, the rise of a master “race”, elimination of the Jews and frightening similarities between the koran and Mein Kampf.

I have tried to express to you what I see as an ideological monster drunk on its own unfathomable stupidity and intolerant of anyone and anything that runs contrary to its evil, archaic and misogynistic beliefs.

I have tried to explain to you the lie of the “arab spring” and the coming destruction of the rights of all non-muslims in those countries and why I believe absolutely that there is no hope for a positive outcome there.

I have tried to point out to you the difference between “painting an entire people with the brush of bigotry” and criticizing what I believe to be an evil ideology that dominates and controls even its own people by keeping them stupid and that would supplant our western culture in a heartbeat.

To all of this you have laughed in a summarily dismissive and derisive way without any significant counter-argument whatsoever. You believe that any criticism of this ideology is effectively bigotry and that I am a bitter and cranky old man who was not raised with your “enlightened liberal values”.

You proffer a weak argument based on religious equivalency that all religions have negative texts and that those in the koran are just as irrelevant and benign as those of Deuteronomy.

You deny that there is any stealth jihad and maintain that I am over reacting to those “oooh scary muslims.”

Mark, you are a very bright and intelligent individual - you were a top honor student and have achieved great success in the academic and business world, you are indeed one very smart cookie. Unfortunately, you could not be more wrong if you tried.

I recently watched an excellent documentary on the rise of the Nazi party in Germany prior to the Second World War. What was astounding was that even a year or so before Hitler came to power, the vast majority of the intelligentsia in Germany were dismissing Hitler as a crank that “no intelligent person could ever vote for”.

In their ivory towers these intellectuals could not comprehend that others did not think the way they did and refused to see the coming storm clouds or to believe what Hitler intended even though he actually set out his agenda in Mein Kampf. The intelligentsia included powerful Jews who deluded themselves into believing that they had a future in the coming Reich.

Unfortunately, what intellectuals were and are never able to see is that their understanding is not the understanding of the far larger part of the masses or those that would manipulate that segment.

Mark, the intellectuals were among the very first to be killed by the Nazis – they paid for their ignorance, intellectual superiority and naivety with their lives.

Intelligence and islam are completely incompatible, boko haram, the taliban, al quada the destruction of the ancient afghan Buddhas, the recent burning of library in Cairo, the destruction of the library in Alexandria, the museums in Iraq etc, etc., etc., show that that which lies beyond the teachings of the hateful koran are of no value to this belief system.

Unfortunately, the apologetic liberal intelligentsia are today once again wrongly basing their insights on islam on their own Western perspective.

To the intelligentsia, the only reason any suicide bomber could ever commit so heinous an act and the only reason why any muslim could possibly hate the West is because they have logical justification in doing so.

To the naive intellectuals that reason must be the transgressions of the West and must only represent the actions of a few misguided souls that do not understand the ‘true” teachings of islam.

If I try to point out the fact that islam inculcates this animosity and hatred from birth and that the beliefs of the so-called “few misunderstanders” are not only a part of the koran but the basic tenets of its teaching, you immediately label me a racist (when did islam become a race?)

With the greatest of respect, you cannot justify the actions of the worst elements in society by wrapping yourself in the blanket of “enlightened” political correctness and assuming you have the high moral ground.

Is it racists for me to say that a hateful ideology is racist?

I was raised in a liberal household and believe in fundamental human rights and equality for all, but I also believe that taking the “high moral ground” does not mean that I must accept intolerance from those that don’t accept those same standards – particularly those whom we invite here to share in our abundance. Nor does it mean that I must accept islam’s agenda of conversion by the sword, its global jihad, takiyya, kitman, fatwas, the abusive treatment of women, suicide attacks, ardent discrimination against and killing of Christians, Jews and others and its perverse and unfounded teachings of hate against anything and all things non-islamic.

Mark, Western society should not take tolerance to a level where such tolerance contributes to its own destruction. Being liberal is not a suicide pact! islam is not coming here to share secular Western democracy it is coming here to replace it with loathsome and vile sharia law - to deny that is to lie to yourself and to deny all we hold dear.

I believe the high moral ground demands that we say “NO” to that which is clearly evil and that which is not only reflected but supportive of the terrorist agenda.

I believe that the policies of barack obama are a complete and total capitulation to this lunacy and that this closet muslim is the worst president in U.S. history. obama’s pathetic lies about the positive impact of islam on American history are so wrong that Thomas Jefferson must be spinning in his grave!

I believe that the current movement to make the criticism of islam illegal in the UN and the US is beyond stupid – it is evil and a complete betrayal of freedom of expression and thought. It is in fact treasonous!

An accident of geology has given trillions of oil dollars, the largest unearned accumulation of wealth in the history of mankind, to the laziest and basest of men who then spend billions promoting the mad ideology of wahabbism on a global basis. Could the danger not be any more evident!?

Mark, you have children of your own and while the coming clouds will likely not impact on me and may not even impact on you, they will impact them.

Do not make the mistake of thinking for a second that your intellectualism or for that matter theirs is a bulwark to the coming wave of global strife propagated by these morons. It will not be.

What is truly disconcerting is that beyond the koran islam has no core – no central governing body that we in the West can deal with. No single muslim country on this planet has adopted the United Nations Fundamental Declaration of Human Rights and all hold the belief that the muslim is the superior human being to any infidel.

We are battling the global collective of this ideology and I strongly believe that it is more destructive than you can possibly imagine – I also believe in my heart that unless we stop it, it will smother everything we hold near and dear and stifle the intellectual growth that has been a part of Western culture for five centuries.

That is not racism, it is not intolerance, it is not hate – it is actual and real concern!!

Unless we can identify the monster (and the liberal intelligentsia is doing its damnedest to keep us from putting this issue on the table), we will see more acts of terrorism and further successful attempts to promote the mad islamic agenda in all countries.

Yet how can we possibly fight that which you and other pseudo-intellectuals are unwilling to speak about?

Mark, I am not an islamaphobe – one cannot have a phobia where a real danger exists. I do however want the matter discussed in an open forum with the goal of examining the sources of terror and without fear of a fatwah or the risk of death from some mad follower of this cult and without being labeled a racist or with the absurd title, islamaphobe.

I do not want the issue buried by a liberal media that is afraid to call a spade a spade and I want them to reflect the very real concerns that are now plaguing the populations of England, France, Germany, Denmark, Spain and every other country where liberal polices have resulted in huge influxes of a collective that I personally believe are coming to colonize not assimilate.

Mark, your somewhat egotistical attitude of intellectual superiority dismisses these arguments before I can even make them to you and that is frustrating beyond belief. Allow me to state my case before you dismiss what I have to say, what are you afraid of – that maybe there is some truth in my position?

I have learned a lot in life and the one thing I can pass along to you without reservation is that ignoring a problem, refusing to have an open discussion about the problem or worse, refusing to see that there even is a problem is always the easiest thing to do, it is also always the worst thing to do.

Do not take our free and open Western society for granted it is not a birth-right and needs to be defended. It was won by the lives and tears of our fathers and mothers and we should not surrender their sacrifices to this monstrous belief system without so much as a whimper.

We have to face monster of islam full on with our eyes open, our understanding complete and our senses clear – we need to take the harder path, support that which in our hearts we know is good and reasonable and refuse to support the values or the lies of the savages.

Do not, armed with the excuse of your so-called enlightenment, but blinded by complete naivety, abandon secular liberal democracy to this devil.

Hitler's misfortune was that he lived in the 1900s, rather than the 600s Arabia. Had he lived in the 600s, he could have done what he did w/ impunity, and Nazism would have been a religion today.

Or conversely, better example, had Mo lived in the 1930s in Germany or anywhere else in Europe, and tried doing everything he did in Arabia in the 600s, he'd have been at least jailed, if not summarily executed.

Heck, in the European Middle Ages, a lot of religious reformers who wanted to reform Christianity were persecuted. Imagine if Mohammed had, living even in 1600s Germany, done all the things he did - 'marry' a 6-year old, murder a pregnant woman and an aged man, tried battling the army or paramilitary police out to arrest him or so on. His followers would have been massacred, and he himself would have been tried and executed. No way would any cult he started have gotten recognition as a religion.

The main reason, aside from many others that people call Islam a religion, is its 1 billion plus members. Had its numbers been low, it would have been recognized for what it really is - a geopolitical cult.

I have kids too and one of them is a US Marine and did one tour in Afghanistan and I think he will be deplyed again. our media is trying to white wash this issue. while it is rue that 99% of muslims live a peaceful life and do not strap bombs, it is not the muslims that are the probelm. it is ISLAM. this site is doing a great job of exposing Islam and what it stands for. the other great thing about this site is that it has no politacl agenda. it is merely and educational tool. the American people are slowly waking up and noticing that. I have traveled through out Europe. Islam is now a cancer there and they are fighting like hell to stop the spread of the cancer. here the problem is that it is pre-cancerous so we need to do all we can to get rid of.
M

After World War 2 the civilised world said ‘never again’ and the generations that followed prided themselves in being more informed and more educated than the ‘stupid’ Germans of the 1930s who were ignorant enough to fall for Hitler’s lies.
Of course, today’s generation have no excuse. They have the benefit of history to teach them the truth and they sincerely believe that they are being vigilant. As soon as a jackboot-wearing skinhead appears and declares himself to be a Neo-Nazi, they’re quick to shout him down and then pat each other on the backs for being clever enough to see through his anti-Semitic nonsense.
Of course, the real Nazis meanwhile, are running amok, declaring to destroy Israel and threatening to wipe out the Jews. The enablers are out in force too, calling Israel a fascist state and claiming that everything is a Zionist conspiracy – everything from 9/11 to the so-called ‘New World Order.’
It makes the 1930s Germans look pretty smart doesn’t it? It also shows that some people learn nothing from history.
Could today’s generation be one of the dumbest that has ever lived?

"The army of Mohammed is back".
They are probably referring to the battle of Khaybar where Muhammad got Safiya and made a "Mother of Believers" out of her. A Jewish woman revered by Muslims all over the world!!!

My advice to the remaining 1,500 Jews in Tunisia.

GET OUT. NOW. TODAY. Don't deceive yourself: it isn't just the Jews of Israel these Mohammedans hate, it's all Jews, everywhere, always.

Go to the USA, or to Australia, or to Israel.

And if you go to Israel, every one of you who is capable of toting a gun should enlist in the IDF.

Hamas honcho addresses rally in Tunis; crowd of 5000 chants "Death to Israel," "The army of Muhammad is back," and "Kill the Jews, it is our duty"
............................

These are not the random rantings of madmen—this is all based in Islamic texts.

The "Army of Muhammed" is the Muslim horde that destroyed the Oasis of Khaybar where Jews took refuge from the Muslims of Medina.

The "Kill the Jews, it is our duty" is based both on endless instances of homicidal antisemitism, but more specifically on the Islamic vision of the last days, where even the rocks and trees will cry out, "O Muslim! There i a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him!"

So—this horror in Tunisia is resurgent Islam, rather than something new.

Toro, what a fine letter to your nephew! I'm glad you reposted it—this is the first time I have seen it.

Your letter covers all the bases—I hope you don't mind, I'm going to copy this for my files. Like you, I have close loved ones who absolutely refuse to seriously acknowledge the Jihad threat. I'm sure many other posters here are in the same position.

I cannot imagine a more eloquent way to address this troubling issue than your letter.
