Islamonausea, not Islamophobia

We should stop using Muslims' self-chosen word – “Islamophobia” – by which they paint themselves into a corner of being feared: it destroys communication. Instead of such a divisive term, we should insert a more approachable and factual word that preserves opportunities for bridge-building and learning: “Islamonausea.” This does not render communication impossible, but enables visitors to our Western cultures to notice aspects of their behavior that make us sick.

It's no wonder that Muslims use the word “Islamophobia” so often. Lacking convincing arguments, charm or constructive contributions to their surroundings, being feared is the only way to gain at least some kind of respect. The term Islamophobia, fear of Islam, points to what Muslims want, not to what non-Muslims feel. Who is afraid of Islam, anyway?

“Xenophobia,” an irrational fear of that which is strange or foreign, also doesn't work. Aversion to Islam doesn't come from unfamiliarity with the religion; in fact, it's quite the opposite. There’s no reason to fear being called a racist, either, since neither Islam nor Muslims are a race.

Our language needs a term that describes what many critically thinking people feel about Islam according to their own terms, not according to what Muslims wish us to feel or what the PC establishment diagnoses to scare us into allowing more voters for the Left into our countries. We need a term that simultaneously invites Muslims to realize what they need to change about their behavior and religion if they wish to advance from an embarrassing last place in the evolution of civilizations and to earn some real respect among the world community.

Natural reaction

As in many other nauseating situations, Islamonausea is a normal and natural reaction to something abnormal, not vice versa.

The nausea reflex is innate, and it is biologically natural and healthy to experience emotional and bodily discomfort with anything that is unpleasant, unhealthy or harmful.

There is nothing phobic or racist in feeling nausea when hearing about the Islamic massacres performed by Muhammad and his many devout copycats through history and all over the world today. The same goes for Muhammad's sexual relationship with a nine-year old girl, and the cutting off of limbs and stonings in the name of Allah and his Sharia laws.

Thinking of Muslims’ epidemic practice of forced inbreeding (which damages intelligence and increases the risk of psychiatric diseases) -- often many generations in a row -- one may also experience unpleasant feelings in the abdomen. There is also no shame in feeling nausea when hearing about the extreme social control, violence and murderous examples made to keep and scare hundreds of millions of their women from enjoying their human rights to chose their own sexual partners, clothing and lifestyle.

The many calls for hatred, violence and killing of non-Muslims commanded by the faultless Koran are outright disgusting. Imagining the pinnacle of evolution being a planet-sized Islamic caliphate is not only a complete embarrassment to the human race; it may also make one lose one's appetite.

Examples

The word Islamonausea can be used to describe a feeling of nausea, disgust, displeasure, discomfort or aversion that arises by itself when encountering Islam or Islamic culture, or whatever or whoever represents it.

Examples of use of the word: "I'm not afraid of Islam, I have Islamonausea." "I do not want minarets in my town. They give me Islamonausea." "They got Islamonausea from all the Muslim immigrants and decided to move to another neighbourhood." "Reading the Koran gives me Islamonausea." "He got Islamonausea and decided to quit his job at the prison." "I get Islamonausea hearing about all those honor killings." "I get Islamonausea at the thought of eating Halal." "I get Islamonausea seeing all those Muslims hopping up and down and shooting in the air, trying to scare us into respecting their childish behaviour."

Prevalence

The first use of the word that I have been able to trace, is from 7 July 2005, in a comment on this website, Jihadwatch.org.

Here, a person calling himself Sheik Canuck, writes in a comment to an article on Muslims' positive reaction to the Islamic suicide bombings in London that same day:

"I don't have islamophobia, I have islamoNausea, I'm sick of them all."

The first time it occurred in a Danish newspaper was in a letter by this writer in Nordjyske Stiftstidende on December 30th 2011, entitled "We have nausea."

The term attracted some attention when the comedian, atheist and Islam critic Pat Condell used it in a video from 2009 called "Apologists for evil."

Islamonausea deserves its own article on Wikipedia. Help get Islamonausea into our dictionaries by using the word on blogs, in articles and in Letters to the Editor, and in everyday speech.

"Islamonausea" is a perfect name for what so many of us feel. Now if only some of our so-called "leaders" would feel the same.

I favor "Islamoloathe", myself. I am happy to be one who hates the lies deception threats and violence allowed/ encouraged in Islam.

Wish there were a cure for Islamonausea. I have suffered from it for at least a year now. Love the article and agree that it better describes the malady than Islamophobia.

Too bad the leftists in power have such self-loathing that they enjoy these sick conditions and want to share the pain.

I plan on using this new wonderfully descriptive word often. Thanks again Nicolai!

Haha, I get your point, and I don't disagree, but I avoid nausea like I avoid the plague...I hate nausea, I would rather get beat up by six big guys with sticks than to be nauseated...Islam does not make me nauseated, but it does disgust me...If there is anything called Islamodisgustophobia I belong to that club...I also detest it, so the word Islamodetesophobia is fine, I also consider Islam evil, so Islamoevilphobia would work...The only problem with these phobia's is that they are too long and hard to pronounce, so Islamonausea is ok, as long as I can fake it and not really get nauseated...

definition of "to probe:"

1. to search into or examine thoroughly; question closely: to probe one's conscience.
2. to examine or explore with a probe.

That's what the Counter-Jihad should be about. Examining thoroughly, questioning closely, and questioning one's accumulated PC beliefs and disinformation about the ostensible religion of peace, justice, tolerance, and, to quote Obama, fairness.

Therefore, I am an Islamoprobe.

Spread the word...

Well, Islamonausea is fine with me.

Actually, most of us Americans have purchased or had a useful tool at their disposal for quite some time, now.

It's called a BS Meter.

I've modified mine, to suit my temper. It goes from:

1.) Mildly suspicious to...
2.) Suspicious to...
3.) Alarmed to...
4.) Somewhat angry to...
5.) Pissed -off to...
6.) Very pissed-off to...
7.) Outraged to...
8.) Throwing things at T.V. to...
9.) Writing on JWatch to...

10.)BS meter explodes, man goes to Tijuana and buys another.

Islamonausea it is.

Truly, the more things I learn about Islam, the sicker I become.

This is a good moment to rehash my comment from
http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/11/how-the-term-islamophobia-got-shoved-down-your-throat.html

which offers the variation, Islamorrhea, naming the never-ending throat-jerk flow of the offensive term Islamophobia. More potently perverse than merely tossing the Islamophobia bomb into a given conversation are the increasingly frequent activities of Islamopotentates — MSA chapters, imams, et al., who organize presentations under that banner.

Perhaps, the more variations on Islamophobia, the better.

john spielman wrote,

I second that and I was the one coined it. Do you hate evil, yes or no? If you say "yes, but..." then the lies and contradictions begin.

Is Islam evil? If you say "yes, but..." then the lies and deceptions begin.

Take a stand.

By saying, "I am an islamoloathe", you move from the defensive to the offensive. People will say, "That is rather strong, but why do you feel so strongly?

You can roll out this skit which undermines Islam claim to be a religion.

As a forward, I will say that the Religion of Peace, Islam, is a Piece of Religion (daily rituals of indoctrination basically) that is greatly overshadowed by its military and political nature. Islam was created by desert Bedouins who were lazy and objectively inferior in order to feel subjectively superior. Because of its essential military/politcal nature, apostasy and blasphemy result in the extreme of death.

Skit: RESIST ALLAH’s ARMY (RAA)
Two men have just come out of a bar and are shaking hands.
RUMP: See ya on the weekend. Take care.
MUTT: Yep, Resist Allah’s Army.
RUMP: Whatever… Look, you always say that. What about this religion of peace?
MUTT: Duh!
RUMP: OK man, (squirming) my hemorrhoids are killing me. Give me the ABC and make it fast.
MUTT: A is for apostasy. Leave Islam and they kill you—that’s desertion and treason in face of the enemy during war. B for blasphemy gets you death—challenging the chain of godly command. C for conquest—all infidels must be killed or dhimmified, hence the military sentences for A and B. Now get going before you bleed to death.
They walk off in opposite directions. Rump stops and turns around.
RUMP: (yelling) Muuuutt!!!
Mutt stops and turns around.
RUMP:I get it!!!
MUTT: Yo!!!
RUMP: Resist Allah’s Army!!!
MUTT: RAA!!! RAA!!! RAA!!!

Anything less than Islamoloathia smacks of PC. Anything which deliberately falsifies the truth will make us the architects of our own extinction.

"Easy for you to say", you say. I say "No, but if we don't have men and women of this calibre then we are doomed.

Traitor to man, mind, light, and the one Creator.

Take off those PC gloves. This is what we are up against.

The Martyrs

On a clear, moonlit autumn night,
as geese honk and wing to south,
gather soldiers and loved ones round,
around the campfire bright.

Talk of the ever desperate battles,
and the war, existential, not yet won.
Scorn the enemies, without and within,
the existers, whistling in no-man’s-land.

Soar as Icarus—it is your birthright,
and find strength in your very fragility.
You, bannered with Cross and the Star,
and those for life, mind and spirit right.

Cry for us, cry hard—now get on with it.
Be alive—vibrantly, as we once were.
If you will, raise a glass to us—the fallen:
Obedient to Our Martyr Oath unto death.

Islamoloathia sharpens; Islamonausea blurs.

I use the term coined perhaps by Robert Spencer: anti-Jihadist.

A word should stand on its own without defense. Does it unambiguously convey the concept? Does it shout out for the reader's attention?

Sticking with the Greek, I have always favored adding the Greek for "hatred" to "Islam" - so the opposite of "Islamophilia".

But I have not been able to come up with the right term - any Greek scholars out there??

Fine article. Because a phobia is about an unnatural fear. But people who are harassed, annoyed, disappointed by Islam need not fear it, merely despise it.

I read that pain motivates people 2,7 times more than pleasure. Pain in a broad sense. Fear is also a strong motivating emotion.

But I also read that it is ultimately also very important to strive for something towards "pleasure", or progress. something going upwards, instead of only something bad going downwards.

So perhaps we can combine goals and feelings that are against something, here Islam and it's influence on Muslims, with goals that are aimed at something positive.

Perhaps the use and meaning of Islam for non-Muslims is that it inspires many of them through their dislike and sometimes their fear, to consider deeply what it is they are really for, which thinking they might not have done without the obnoxious, quite huge presence of Islam's influence in the world.

So I like psychologists like Nicolai Sennels to put into words the

BICTI; the Better Ideas and Commitments Than Islam.

To strive for by the "ordinary People".

As in "ordinary people" in comparison to the "special" Muslims. Because I also like to describe Non-Muslims differently than with this word Non-Muslims, because it only defines them as something which they are not.

But what good Ideas and Commitments that clearly oppose and trump Islam's Ideas and Commitments can be formulated and strived for?

The greek for "hate" is μισώ "miso" as in "misanthrope" one who hates men or "misogynist" one who hates women.
So...misoislamist?

We need a term that simultaneously invites Muslims to realize what they need to change about their behavior and religion if they wish to advance from an embarrassing last place in the evolution of civilizations and to earn some real respect among the world community.

Of course, this is totally accurate. As I wrote on another post, regarding 'freedom lost' under Islam, which is the true "Islamonausea":

Freedom lost is very hard to regain. A 1400 year war against freedom had been waged by Islam, today's re-emerging Jihad, championed by theo-political rule of mullah tyranny over democratic-constitutional rule of law. Human rights are not part of their equation. Fight them, or submit. That's Tunisia's choice today. Their descendants will either thank them for their fight, or curse them from their submission.

Thomas Jefferson said:

"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent."

"A bill of rights is what the people are entitled to against every government on earth, general or particular, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inference."

"A society that will trade a little liberty for a little order will lose both and deserve neither."

We are watching history in the making throughout the Islamic world.

Muslims choose your words and actions wisely, or we will react naturally with "Islamonausea" to your embarrassing civilizational 'last place'. Choose wisely.

I start to feel sick whenever I hear any of these words:
Islam Mohammad Koran Mosque Imam Burkha Mecca Hijab Haaj Jihad Haadith Jizzya Sheikh Ayotolla Kaaba
and names: Abdhul Mohammad Ahmed Ali etc.

Well...Islamonausea it is then!

Hello gerard:
Extracting, you said,
"I start to feel sick whenever I hear any of these words...
Well...Islamonausea it is then!"

Progression along the path is what is needed and that path leads to action like the triple double Es: Existential Emergency, Existential Ethics, Emergency Eradicated.
Now, please pass the foie gras.

Ooops. "Emergency Ethics" not "Existential Ethics". Nope, come to think of it, either will do.

It seems with respect to the Eurabian Union, the bourgeois inhabitants prefer to say, "Pass the foie gras" when they should be saying, "Pass the hand grenades". Where have you gone Joan of Arc?

Unbelievable the changes since Ayatollahs took over, what a sad shame.
Same in Sharia offing for Tunisia? … Islamonausea, Sick!!

So well said, Battle of Tours! And always so true!

...of course islam makes me sick to my stomach, but I mainly pity those that embrace this evil and insane religion; so I guess I suffer from Islamopity.

I do appreciate Nicolai's analogy. My favourite though is Islamorealism, since it more directly opposes to the charge of Islamophobia.

Islamonausea and Islamorealism are of course not mutually exclusive.

Just a thought on the nausea analogy:

If toxicity in the body reaches a certain threshold, the vomiting reflex kicks in to expel the toxin, thus saving the life of the individual.

apostate: islamputee; someone who has been islamputated.

islamorexia: a person who may be experiencing symptoms of islamonausea.

Thanks Gerard.

I was hoping for a suffix rather than a prefix - Islamophilia - love of Islam, so I would want IslamoXXX = hatred of Islam.

Per your prefix - why not simply "Mislamist???" Or "Misolamist?"

I believe poster Pokermutt coined that term—also excellent. Perhaps even better than "Islamonausea".

One drawback of "Islamonausea" is that it has no obvious form to describe the individual—would that be clued-in Infidels with Islamonausea? Islamonausiacs, perhaps? Hmmmm...

I had to chuckle at that one, Elias. Muslim apologist "DefenderofIslam" refers to anti-Jihadists as "islamoprobic". Oddly, this hasn't been a one time dyslexic thing with him—he's done it several times.

But he's right—we *are* Islamoprobes—which explains why we are Islamoloaths feeling acute Islamonausea...

Uh, that would be "Islamoloathes"...

Islamophobia is an oxymoronic word. A phobia is an irrational fear of something that is not considered dangerous. Since Jizzlamic Jihadis are extremely dangerous, fear is justified. The fear of something that IS dangerous is not a phobia, it's rational.

Wish there were a cure for Islamonausea. Mrs TarE
