Ron Paul: Killing of Iranian nuke scientist "an act of terrorism"

Iranian leaders have repeatedly stated that the demise of Israel is imminent. Iran's intentions to build a nuclear bomb are now widely acknowledged. This nuclear scientist was aiding in the construction of weapons that could murder millions of innocent people. Iran clearly already considers itself at war with Israel and the United States, and the killing of this scientist was a defensive action in the war.

Ron Paul represents the voice of appeasement and willful blindness regarding the Iranian jihad.

Ron Paul: the reason the sucker punch was invented.

To think that there are people passionate about Ron Paul being the leader of the free world.

has Ron Paul? ever complained about the Iranians using IEDs to kill our soldiers?

Those were not acts of terrorism, they were acts of war. IF the US did this then it is entirely justified.

Same for israel based on the attacks through hezbualh. Iran is the aggressor and to respond in self-defense is legal.

During WW2, the Allies bombed German factories manufacturing 'heavy water' and 'flying bombs'. Doubtless, many scientists and assembly workers were killed in these raids.

But if Ron Paul had had his way, the Nazis would have been allowed to manufacture 'flying bombs' that would have decimated civilian population centers in Britain.

The 21st Century Nazis, who have also promised to 'wipe out' the Jews, must be stopped before they attack large civilian centers, too. And let's face it, no one is carpet bombing Iranian military centers! Three key scientists in 2 years is a forensic, pin-point defensive measure. Stuxnet was also a forensic, pin-point measure.

Ron Paul should know better. He's a clown!

The US clown Ron Paul gets a lot of money from Islam (CAIR, Iran) for blabbering such a dangerous bullshit

(video) Chaim Ben Pesach: “Ron Paul Would Destroy America’s Economy”

Perhaps we need a forensic pin point smart bomb on the iranian parliament?

Nazi Germany terrorized (terror-bombed) Poland, Rotterdam, London, Coventry, etc., early in the second world war. It was only a small portion of the atrocities Germany committed against innocent civilians. When the allies were up to speed, they returned terror for terror. They terror-bombed (fire-bombed) German cities - Frankfurt, Dresden, Hamburg, Mainz, etc. - incinerating nearly one million German civilians in an effort to demoralize the German people into surrender. That does not mean the United States and England are state sponsors of terrorism. There is legitimate terrorism. When Israel targets a Hamas or Islamic jihad bomb-maker or leader, Dr. Paul can legitimately call it terrorism but it is justifiable terrorism. Terror for terror. Iran is a preeminent state sponsor of international terrorism. What does Congressman Paul expect us to do? Just take it?

Ron Paul is so clueless about how the world really works that he makes Jimmy Carter look like a wise man. A stupefying "achievement" to be sure. And that he has so many supporters is greatly dispiriting.

I am completely shocked that this man is running for president, and also that ANYONE would consider voting for him given his idiotic foreign policies - especially where Iran is concerned ..and if you are considering voting for this guy, then you need to listen to this interview over, and over again, until it finally sinks in just how dangerous this man is. Wow!

AHAHA!!!!! ...oh my that is sooo funny :)

"Ron Paul is so clueless"

Yes he is, but Ron Paul is so also DANGEROUS clueless

And one of the creepiest things about Ron Paul is when he giggles while answering questions of a deadly serious nature.

Ron Paul's premise of non-interference appears to be that if Iran's acquisition of nuclear weapons doesn't directly involve America then we should just mind our own business.

Fueled by the radical teachings of Islam, mad dog Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran, has stated publicly his intentions of "Wiping Israel off the map." Any reasonable person would assume he would use those nuclear weapons to do so.

How is that none of our business? What if the threat was made against Britain instead of Israel? Would Paul react the same way? To be logically consistent he would have to. So what is the message to our allies? You're on your own?

Would Paul do anything militarily to intercede on behalf of an American ally in dire need? I'm beginning to seriously doubt that he would. Perhaps he would dismantle all of the military except the national guard. Just enough to protect our own borders. No wait, he's an open borders advocate too. Scratch that. All we really need are the Boy Scouts.

In all seriousness though, Ron Paul has a dangerous isolationist view of the world in my opinion.

The "mysterious" deaths of these Iranian nuclear scientists should serve to warn the mad man in Iran that we are deadly serious about the situation. Ron Paul would have done well to remain silent. Instead, he shows the Mullahs in Iran that they have an ally in him.

Yes, yes, I know, "It's the economy, stupid!"

"Ron Paul is so clueless about how the world really works that he makes Jimmy Carter look like a wise man. A stupefying "achievement" to be sure. And that he has so many supporters is greatly dispiriting."

Yes, but what is really dangerous and irritating is his incoherence. There are so many contradictions and flaws in his thinking, that one is forced to conclude that he is not fit to be the most powerful man on the planet:
____________________

at about 2:30 - 2:45, Paul says:

"We shouldn't be engaged in trying to stir up trouble...".
_____________

He doesn't, simply, get it. He is completely ignorant about Islam, and he is delusional as to Iran's threat to mankind in general, and Israel, in particular.
______________________________________________

Then, at 2:45 - 2:55 or so:

"...and all these things we do to try to get rid of the regime in Iran right now actually plays into their hands, because once we interfere or bring on sanctions, that brings the Iranian people together..."
__________________________________

He's nuts. He's a closet Troofer. He's naive. Anybody who votes for this fellow deserves his fate...the Iranian people are itching to get rid of the Mullahs. His non-intervention would accomplish the same thing that Obama's "outreach" has - nothing - nothing but more threats and more uranium enrichment in defiance of the world.

Grandpa Ron needs to retire from the race, I think.

Yes! ..he has so many annoying quirks that it isn't even funny; and notice his poor posture during debates. While all the other men are standing there nice and tall - shoulders back - heads held high, he is standing there kinda slumped over with his head down most of the time. He looks cowardly to me. He's the total package of what a president should NOT be. Yeah even his brows bug me. Physical traits aside - it's what comes out of his mouth that is the MOST alarming.

Pauls astonishing limited consideration and ignorance for the totality of realistic repercussions, concerning iranian nukes, is a product of his rigid and inflexible mental philosophical mechanism that reduces evrything to an extreme libertarian utopianism where federal Government is not only checked, as it has to be, but totally eliminated.

at about 2:30 - 2:45, Paul says:

"We shouldn't be engaged in trying to stir up trouble...".

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Stirring up trouble seems to be a theme with Dr. Paul. At the December 10 Iowa debate, Dr. Paul said the following in part:

GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS:22:02:29:00 I wanna change subjects now because-- foreign policy was-- Speaker Gingrich caused something of a stir overnight in the Middle East with comments he made in interview with the Jewish channel in which he called the Palestinians an invented people. And-- I just wondered-- G-- Congressman Paul, if I can start with you: Do you agree with that characterization, that the Palestinians are an invented people?

CONGRESSMAN RON PAUL: 22:02:52:00 N-- no, I don't agree with that. And that's just stirrin' up trouble. And I-- I believe in a non-interventionist foreign policy. I don't think we should get in the middle of these squabbles. But to go out of our way and say that so-and-so is not a real people? Technically and historically, yes-- you know, under the Ottoman Empire, the Palestinians didn't have a state, but neither did Israel have a state then too.

22:03:13:00 But this is how we get involved in so many messes. And I think it just fails on the side of-- practicing a little bit of diplomacy, getting ourselves (LAUGH) into trouble mentioning things that are unnecessary. The people in those regions should be dealing with these problems; we shouldn't be dealing with these things.

22:03:30:00 But-- historically, it-- it-- you know, under the Ottoman Empire, that i-- that is-- technically-- correct.....

Yes, I watched that debate. Our enemies would like nothing more than the US becoming isolationist. Paul would be their pick for sure.

His logic is stupefying. According to Dr. Paul, the dissidents there will be more sympathetic to Ahmadinejad if we impose sanctions to further weaken the ruling regime which the dissidents have been striving and literally dying to defeat for many years.

Does Paul have any evidence to back up this theory? No, it's just his view based on projecting how the US responded to 9-11, that it brought the country together. But neither the squabbling Republicans nor the Democrats, etc. were striving to bring down the government here, so how does this analogy apply even slightly? It doesn't, but Paul somehow convinces his supporters of this because they are ignorant and have no clue and just don't want the US involved overseas.

He goes on to say Iran is a weak and basically peaceful nation and therefore we should not stir things up because our actions are causing them to retaliate by building a bomb to use to annihilate Israel. Tell that to the Americans who were dealing with the infiltration of bombs from Iran to Iraq. Heck, Dr. Paul, tell it to Sunnis in Iraq and to Hamas in Gaza, if you want to see some Arabs break out laughing. They'll call you a real quack.

Particularly disconcerting for me, David, is that it is quite arguable that Barack Obama has a more realistic understanding of Islamic terror than does Ron Paul. Reflect upon that for a moment. Chilling, no?

I think it more likely than not that Paul, had he been President, wouldn't have taken out bin Laden or al-Awlaki, especially the latter. Paul is to the left of Obama on what to do about Islamic nutjobs. I rarely use the word "scary" because it's so overused, but if I'm right here, this is damn scary.

Paul promises 'hope and change', and to 'fundamentally change America'...We fell for that once, are we going to fall for it again?

Ron Paul is way off in left field but why did Romney and Santorum condemn Gingrich for telling the truth?

Has he come up with the "it's their private property" argument yet? Dogmatic cap-L Libertarians usually drag that one out because they utterly misunderstand the concept of private property and will argue that, for example, you have no right to seize the gun of a robber who is pointing it at you because "it's his property". The notion that property rights derive from one's right to one's own life and that, therefore, saving your life by seizing a criminal's property that is being used to threaten you, goes in one ear and out the other with no stopovers along the way.

In other words, the man is a damn fool.

Paul refuses to see that Iran is anything but a peaceful nation because, his damnfoolery aside, like many others and not necessary those sharing his particular political dogma, he is unaware of and/or dismisses the violent world-chaos eschatology adhered to by the Iranian leaders. He's got company there; the MSM virtally never makes reference to it and our security agencies are, presumably, forbidden from discussing it openly. Therefore reports from inside Tehran that the Ayatollahs and Ahmadhimijerker are not squabling about the effects of sanctions but about who has the divine right to babysit the 12th Imam/Mahdi and whether the signs and omens say it's time to EMP the West are not likely to make it to the nightly news.

The action taken against the Iranian nuclear scientist was less an act of terrorism than a targeted assassination. Contrast this act of "terrorism" with those murderous terrorist acts against innocent, noncombatant Israelis riding on buses or celebrating holidays and family events in restaurants, or against Israeli kindergarten children, or children in public school in Beslan, and against subway riders in Madrid and in London. These were true acts of terrorism, the purpose of which was to kill as many innocents as possible. May there be many more successful targeted assassinations against those who seek to bring about a Shi'ite-inspired Armageddon, and against others with similarly malevolent intentions who wish to bring about our destruction and that of our allies. Doctor Paul is an utter crackpot and a fool, and a nightmare scenario, albeit, hopefully, an unlikely one, would be having to choose between Paul and Obama in the next presidential election. God help us.

Vis-à-vis Ron Paul, as the saying goes, "don't let the facts get in the way of your opinions." I don't doubt his sincerity and there is a certain amount of truth to the perception that we really didn't need to invade and occupy Iraq. Certainly we do not have any right or hope of success in nation building in the Middle East. Afghanistan has proven the futility in that. That is the basis of Ron Paul's Middle East foreign policy.

I've noticed when it comes to politics people form opinions based on personal experience and the commonly held superficial views presented by the media. That's why propaganda is so effective, right? And Dr. Paul plays into that ignorance masterfully. It is scary.

I'd love to see Robert Spencer and John Bolton engage in a conversation about the Middle East policy and Islam with Dr. Paul.

Ron Paul makes Obama look like a genius. God help the USA if this moron becomes POTUS. God save the USA (better yet, Alan West, Rick Santorum, Newt G., or ANYONE else for that matter).

This Holocaust Will Be Different
By Benny Morris

"The second holocaust will be quite different.

"One bright morning, in five or 10 years, perhaps during a regional crisis, perhaps out of the blue, a day or a year or five years after Iran's acquisition of the Bomb, the mullahs in Qom will convene in secret session, under a portrait of the steely-eyed Ayatollah Khomeini, and give President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, by then in his second or third term, the go-ahead.

"The orders will go out and the Shihab III and IV missiles will take off for Tel Aviv, Beersheba, Haifa and Jerusalem, and probably some military sites, including Israel's half dozen air and (reported) nuclear missile bases. Some of the Shihabs will be nuclear-tipped, perhaps even with multiple warheads. Others will be dupes, packed merely with biological or chemical agents, or old newspapers, to draw off or confuse Israel's anti-missile batteries and Home Front Command units.

"With a country the size and shape of Israel (an elongated 20,000 square kilometers), probably four or five hits will suffice: No more Israel.

"A million or more Israelis in the greater Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem areas will die immediately. Millions will be seriously irradiated. Israel has about seven million inhabitants. No Iranian will see or touch an Israeli. It will be quite impersonal."...

And why the Mohammedans (not just the Iranians, but the other Mohammedans) are after the bomb (the Pakistani Muslims have it already, and have been using it, I suspect, in a form of blackmail against the USA and others): and make no mistake, it is not just Israel that they wish to annihilate, it is - sooner or later - the entire non-Muslim world.

Here is the testimony of just one person who in Australia's third-largest city, in January 2009, when Israel was giving the jihadis of Jihad Fortress Gaza a well-deserved and long-overdue drubbing, and all the Muslim and non-Muslim Jew-haters were shrieking blue murder, heard Muslims, in Australia, calling for the death of Israel - and ALSO for the destruction of the USA. He asked them why.

As posted in the Comments to Carolyn Overington's blog at 'The Australian', after she had eviscerated a nasty antisemitic piece that had been published in the Melbourne 'Age' (I have not been able to find a functioning link to the blog entry, but I read it at the time and made a complete copy):

Jonathan Whybird
Mon 19 Jan 09 (05:24pm)

'Excellent article Carolyn. I note the earlier poster who said that he/she has sent the article in question [that is, the antisemitic screed she was excoriating - dda] to the Anti-Discrimination Commission. I think The Australian should do this itself and report on the outcome - it would be very very interesting.

'Marcus (the expert on everything) {another commenter in the talkback – dda} I cannot agree with your view that most of the Palestinians (sic: the 'Palestinian' Arab Muslims - dda) are peaceful people.

'On Saturday [17th Jan] in Brisbane there was another demonstration in favour of Palestine at which anybody who bothered to go (I live in the city and they marched in my street so I had a front row ground level seat as my fiance and I had come back from a run) **would have heard Muslim Australians chanting “kill the jews”.** {my emphasis - dda}.

'I even spoke to one protestor who confirmed he was Muslim and from Iran who said there would only be peace when Israel and the rest of the west was destroyed."

{Got that, everyone: 'one protestor who confirmed he was Muslim and from Iran, who said there would only be peace [that is, the 'peace' of Islam - dda] WHEN ISRAEL AND THE REST OF THE WEST WAS DESTROYED'}.

' Now this man was supported by many of his fellow protestors who screamed with him, but for three men in the crowd who shook their heads and at that point left the protest (and apologised to us for the comments of the others).

{Nota bene: the *majority* supported the public call for the destruction of Israel and of 'the rest of the West'; only a tiny minority, three, to be exact, were not prepared to explicitly endorse that goal - dda}.

'**When I asked the man why he hated the west he said “because you reject the prophet”.** {my emphasis - dda}.

Please explain to me how this sort of behaviour should be tolerated? Also why is it that two weekends in a row have seen protests in their thousands against Israel - but the muslim community was silent over september 11, bali and London?" END QUOTE.

Earth to Ron Paul and everybody else like him who thinks that it's our fault that the Muslims are coming after us: these people. Muslims, HATE the Jews, and the Hindus, and the Sikhs, and the atheists, and the agnostics, and the Christians, and the Buddhists, and the Taoists and the Confucians and the animists and the Zoroastrians and, well, every variety of non-Muslim on the face of the planet. And they mean to exterminate us, or force us to join their Gang, their Mob, or else subjugate us in the near-slavery that is dhimmitude.

WHY? - **Because we reject the 'prophet'". Because we refuse to become Muslim. Because we prefer our own laws and customs and beliefs, to Sharia. Because we don't want to be ruled by Sharia. Because we don't want Muslim despots lording it over us.

**That's all it takes** for Muslims to hate us - like poison - and wage perpetual war upon us; with nukes and other forms of WMD, if they get 'em.

And it is isn't just Shiite Iran that would be perfectly prepared to become an atomic murder-'martyr' on a regional or even a global scale.

Here is what one Sunni Muslim, the Algerian Muslim Ben Bella, said in the 1980s.

It is quoted in Bat Yeor's 'The Dhimmi', p. 137.

“A negative attitude was expressed in 1982 by Algeria’s first president, in a lapidary formula:

‘Ce que nous voulons, nous autres Arabes, c’est etre. Or, nous ne pourrons etre que si l’autre n’est pas.
- ‘What we want, as Arabs, is to be. However, we can only be, if the other is not’.” {or, ‘if the other does not exist’}…[note 8: Ben Bella, ‘Tous Contre Israel’, PI 16 (Paris, 1982)
- = International Political Review, V.. 16, 1982)

- Ben Bella openly approved the assassination of leaders whose policies he disapproves of – [note 9: ibid, p. 107] – a common practice under the Mamluks – **and then went on to justify, after the acquisition of nuclear weapons by Arab states, a nuclear war to destroy Israel** [my emphasis - dda}.

- ‘If there is no other solution, then let there be a nuclear war, and that will be the end of it, once and for all.” – ibid, p. 108.

Such a public display of aggressiveness and moral irresponsibility is rooted in a monolithic clear conscience, which has never been affected [p. 138] by any scruples regarding the tragedy of the dhimmis."

Wake up people, the US can't win a war anymore. Just look at how urinating on your enemies is treated - instead of giving medals to those brave soldiers, they are to be punished. NO Republican candidate has come out in their support. They are all RINOs, Ron Paul is (sadly) the only alternative the corrupt, Liberal establishment (Republicans are turning into Liberals with each passing day, while Liberals are turning into Socialists and Maoists).

Bring the troops home from Afghanistan and Iraq and rebuild America on strong foundations (like the Constitution). Until you do so, the US will be rotten to the core with Liberal principles and RINOs willing to follow whatever the Enemy dictates. Everyone in the Washington DC establishment is PC towards Islam, everyone supports discredited Keynesian economics. In 50 years, if Liberalism is not purged from the core of the nation, Obama will look like a strong president for killing Bin Laden. Ron Paul is the only candidate who wants laws and rules instead of anarcho-tyranny. This is the first prerequisite for destroying Islam and doing pretty much anything as a nation.

For a long time Grover Norquist was way ahead of Ron Paul as a jihaddist agent.

But I think Paul is coming up from behind and giving Norquist a real contest for the honor of being the most effective jihaddist mole in the US.

To the extent that Norquist is married to a Fake-istinian Arab he at least has an excuse for his treason -- however weak. "Well, you know, I have this missus and her family to consider ..."

Just BTW ... you all are aware of how rare it is for a mohammedan woman to marry an outsider who doesn't convert, right? It's against the mohammedan marriage laws.

You think Grover's connections have anything to do with their having made and exception in his case ? Hmmmmmmmmm..... ????

Anyway, skinny psychotic sounding Paul may be outdistancing Norquist in the make jihad repectable sweepstakes.

I think I'd like Ron Paul to run as an independent, so that he can split Obama's pro-Muslim vote.

I like Infidel Pride's idea. Let him run as an independent.
The man must be a reincarnation of every treasonous appeasing bastard that ever lived on this earth.

I sincerely hope that the American people smash Obama and Ron Paul into the political ether; Ron Paul is a disgusting Leftist.

One day soon, we will wake up to the Newsreaders announcing that Iran has tested it's first Nuclear bomb.

The world will change forever.

The words 'Islamic Nuclear Power' are the kind of which you never want to hear uttered in the same sentence. It's bad enough that Pakistan has them.

The Islamic Republic of Iran will essentially be untouchable and free to influence all manner of issues. Imagine this virulently anti-West, SCUM Muslim nation having free reign....

The excellent state of Israel must do what our DISGUSTINGLY weak and spineless Western "leaders" won't: Strike Iran with ALL resources and with MAXIMUM ferocity.

The Middle East is now an Islamist CESS-PIT. We must not allow these nations to become Nuclear, WHATEVER the cost.

Apologies for the multiple posting. I assure you it was not intentional.

Ok so we can not kill the enemies. Now how do you win the war? Or may be those people are happier to be Dhimmis?

I can't prove it in court, but I think Ron Paul works for GEORGE SOROS, who has decided to cut Israel loose because there's only 13 million Jews, vs. 1.5 billion Muslims, and he wants a One World Govt. with the Muslim World as a member, and knows that only Israel and the U.S. stand in the way of it.

As president, Ron Paul would let Iran develop a nuke, hand it to Hezbollah to set off in Tel Aviv and decapitate Israel, then order the U.S. military to refrain from intervening when the Muslim World finished it off. One down, one to go, get it?

Too bad, Soros sadly underestimates the Muslim World, and will find out that it isn't satisfied with membership in a OWG, but will restore the caliphate and try to run the OWG, and with a weakened U.S. and no Israel to watch our back, we're in for a horrible long dark struggle, which could all be avoided by a truly patriotic Republican president now.

Ron Paul is trash...and the trash stinks.

Ron Paul is a believer in the Constitution of the Rebublic of the United States of America. He voted for the troops to go into Afghanistan and destroy the Taliban after 9/11.
If Iran attacked America he would ask for congresses permission to declare war, declare war (as the Constitution says), and bury the fuckers.
How is that appeasment?
He thinks that if America stopped meddling in other people's countries then perhaps those countries would stop meddling with America.
His position (The Constitution), means he will react properly if America is in danger.
How can this position be seen as a problem?

@Ian {If Iran attacked America he would ask for congresses permission to declare war, declare war (as the Constitution says), and bury the fuckers.
How is that appeasment?}

Yes, if they attacked America, but not Israel, which is just why I believe he's a Soros man. Of course, after giving Hezbollah the nukes to use in Israel, they'll deny knowledge, and Pres. Paul will claim to believe them. After the Muslim World moves in for the kill on Israel, Pres. Paul would call it none of America's business and refrain from intervention. Luckily the Constitution has checks and balances, and the Senate could declare war, so if Paul is a believer in the Constitution will he do anything? I think not, because like Soros man Obama the U.S. will never be at war with "Islam". And what could they do to make him actually do anything other than start a long dragged-out impeachment process? Meanwhile the sight of Israel going down and Paul ordering them not to intervene could lead to a mutiny in the military, causing the U.S. to begin tearing itself up and going to Hell in a handbasket.

Sorry, Soros, but the tiny pop. of world Jews are the focal point of world history, and there's no way to cut them loose and let them be exterminated without dragging the entire world to Hell in a you know what. For starters, they've infiltrated everything, bwahaha. Therefore, Prince of Peace Ron Paul is the DEVIL'S ANTICHRIST. Let's hope the prophecies about the Devil taking over the world in 2012 via his Antichrist aren't true :)

"I'd love to see Robert Spencer and John Bolton engage in a conversation about the Middle East policy and Islam with Dr. Paul."

Second that, conversation would be nice. Starting out by smearing the other as a "useful idiot" is - i.m.o. at least - unbecoming of a site aimed at educating the wider public about the danger of Islam.

Ian -

Good questions. Don't expect the fair share of commenters over here to be able/willing to distinguish between "isolationism" (Trotskyite smear lingo) and non-interventionism though. Respecting Israel's sovereignty, like RP did (standing alone with Israel) in 1981 when that state took out Iraq's nuclear facilities (Osiraq)? Nope, predominantly US WoT enthusiasts, eagerly following the Big Gov neo-progressivist punditry slogans, while supporting policies furnishing Israel's Arab neighbours with over 5 times the amount of "foreign aid" that Israel receives. It's this fake free market, Enterprise Fnd, Big Gov foreign policy that's being pushed here. Very little to do, i.m.o. with the actual struggle against the Islamization of our lands, which has far more to do with immigration, with Big Govt propped up by Fedishist monetary central planners, distributing looted taxpayer's goodies to favoured minorities and "disenfranchized" groups, and also with a lack of true national defense and solid national borders. Sometimes it appears as if some CJ's worry more about the border between Pakistan/Afghanistan than America's national borders.

Oh well. That's bad enough as it is, but one comment really amused me for its highly "original" perspective:

"I believe he's a Soros man."

How's that for counter-jihad conspiracy thinking?

Kind regs from Amsterdam,
Sag

If Paul is incapable of perceiving that we are dealing with a real and present danger RIGHT NOW, he's too deluded to be trusted with military power.

NOBODY is dumb enough to look at the global jihaddist campaign and imagine that it is defensive.

And I mean NOBODY!

You need only glance at the headlines from time to time and notice what is going on in the Phillipines, Thailand, Nigeria, Sudan and a dozen other places, to see that what is going on is:
a) international
b) driven by ideology
c) aggressive

A similarly light survey of even the feeble, biased reporting by the legacy media will reveal that in EVERY case, no matter how obviously a gratuitous act of aggression, the mohammedans involved claim to be victims.

And what does Dr. Paul have to say about the attack on NY and the mass murder at the Twin Towers?

Does he consider that a justified act? Something to be forgiven?

Or does he go in for the baloney about how it was a meaningless act by meaningless criminals. (Meaningless criminals who just happened to be organized and coordinated across international borders, and acting in accordance with the ideology promoted by jihaddists everywhere.)

Paul's virtuous sounding protestations are a meaningless evasion.

There's no way that the random collection of scatterbrains we have in congress are going to be perceptive and pro-active enough to just supply a declaration of war when asked -- not against such a clever and confusing enemy.

We require a leader who SEES and KNOWS what is going on in the world and has the convictions and confidence to LEAD the congress and the nation.

That will not be the wily weaselly Paul.

No matter how many time he invokes the name of the founders.

US involvement was instrumental to the establishing of an Islamic state there. Some in that camp advocated bombing Serbia over Kosovo when Albanian Muslims were torching orthodox churches. They sided with the Muslims against the Serbs and thus didn't pass the Serbia-test.
Then the US progressivists got rid of Saddam, who was bad enough, but the point is that he was a secular dictator. They demolished the regime's infrastructure, and now that he's out they've got Shi'ites who are friendly with Iran under an Islamic "constitution". Then there's bringing "democracy" to Libya, so now we've got Islam on the rise there. No need to talk about Egypt, which is going to be a disaster, while Afghanistan already is. So these are the bipartisan welfare/warfare state progressivists, who are going to save us from Isla-, pardon.. "Terror"? If we have more victories like these, the Caliphate will have been restored pretty soon ;) Think about that when you claim to be serious about fighting Islam and yet you habitually applaud this progressivist US foreign policy ideology.

So there's some cause, I reckon, for arguing that this US lead "War on Terror" isn't really helpful in our struggle against Islamization. If the WoT really were about waging war on Islam, then surely the ones in charge must have a profound sense of irony. And isn't it funny how they always go out of their way to emphasize that it is just a "tiny minority of extremists" they're after.. and that Islam is this wonderful "Religion of Peace"? We all heard Bush/Clinton/Blair solemnly swear such pledges, didn't we? And if only these colluding war profiteers had actually gone after the Islamic terrorists, like Jefferson went after the Barbary pirates, instead of all this zealous nation-building and Big Gov overseas spending, the country would have been in much better financial shape today.

Cheers,
Sag

How incredibly naive.
These assassinations could very well be the work of the Islamic Republic regime, to be used as pretext, or by insurgents, who realize the regime is leading the nation down the road to an apocalypse, which the insurgents want to prevent.

Is it just me, or does Ron Paul seem like the reincarnation of President Merkin Muffley, played by Peter Sellers in "Dr. Strangelove"?

Thank you very much for your warm wishes, St.Patrick.

All the same to you, Sir.
