Sergio Redegalli, a sculptor and artist in Sydney, Australia, is the originator of the famous "Say No to Burqas" mural, which one would think that women's rights activists in the West would love, but as it turns out, the Leftist alliance with Islamic supremacists has proved stronger than feminists' concern for Muslim women. Leftist and Muslim vandals have defaced Sergio's mural 63 times and counting.

Since then he has had to repaint the mural yet again. This time, he did it with an eye toward the increasingly common phenomenon in Australia and other Western countries of women in burqas driving. Clearly their ability to see while wearing the thing is seriously impaired, and so Sergio wrote to me: "I can without hesitation state that it is too dangerous to drive in. This is just another example of how stupidity is allowed to prevail over common sense because people are too fearful of being call a Racist or the new ‘in’ word, 'Islamophobic' (as you know so well)." Indeed I do.
Bravo Sergio Redegalli! This man is a role model for his courage and perseverance!

I'm just about to watch a show on Australian television in 10 minutes called "The Trial". The tv guide describes it as "The inside story of Australia's biggest terrorism trial, which took place in Victoria from Feb to Sept 2008. Involving 12 accused men, 25 lawyers & 482 secretly recorded conversations, the trial raised questions about human rights & how Australia deals with the threat posed by violent Islamic jihad". Should be interesting. Good to see them describe it like this, our police forces have done a good job here & broken up all terrorist plots before they have been carried out (so far).

The governemt of Australia should state that if a woman is a muslim who feels she must dress in burqas or other total body covering to be fully muslim THEN she must go the whole way and be cloistered in her own home and only let out in the company of a male member of her family. Of course driving is forbidden as is working outside the home. In fact her only purpose is to breed and be her husband's personal sex slave. Mohammed wills it!

I use to think of Australia as a place where men were men - evidently they are wussies afraid of Muslims who won't even outlaw the stupid and horrid burkas while driving for safety reasons. They would rather have fellow Aussies die in auto accidents rather than upset the Muslims. Disgusting.
How can the police reprimand me for not removing my disability card whilst driving and allow women to drive with their face covered? Burqas cover your periferal vision used in "flight or fight" situations to protect you from danger and essential to safe driving. I do not understand why they are allowed to drive when others are not allowed to obstruct their view in any way. Two sets of rules again. No one should be able to cover their faces in public and I am sure it would be a different story if a white Australian wore a mask.

Precisely! If Muslimas are allowed to wear burkhas while driving or conducting any business in public, then anyone should be allowed to wear any type of mask while doing those same things. Ski masks, Halloween masks, Carnival masks, etc.
Here's a suggestion: the insurance companies could include a clause in every policy that driving with impaired vision rendered the policy null and void. When Ms. Khan gets in a wreck, let her owner (husband, father, ?) bear the full costs, damages, and liabilities.
What does the insurance industry say? If a Muslim Woman is involved in an accident,will the fact that she is wearing a burkqa increase her chances of liability in that accident?
There are of course the obvious reasons why someone should not have a covered face while driving for identification purposes.

Just as black "civil rights leaders" are concerned almost entirely with their own power, and hardly at all with the actual well-being of most blacks, so "feminist leaders" are likewise concerned with their own power, and not with the everyday concerns of most women.
Now you see this is a good excuse to not grant Saudi women the right to drive. Because they might cause accidents due to poor vision. Makes sense. Anyway I don't see why anyone would want to dress up in a Halloween costume everyday. Insanity. They might find that most decent men do not visualize women as just sex objects and cannot control their criminal lusts. Muslims are really screwed up, they are not part of the natural world.

I understand that before doing this new and revised version of his burqa ban poster, Mr Redegalli did a practical experiment - he **donned a burqa himself** to find out what it actually did to you.
Which is why he is so vehement about burqa-wearers (or, for that matter, niqab wearers) being unable to drive safely.
Most people can see how this hideous garment blocks a woman's peripheral vision - but the layers of cloth (usually more than one) over her ears *also* have a muffling effect upon her hearing.
Impaired vision plus impaired hearing = dangerous driver.
(Not to mention that impaired vision and hearing are *also* not a good idea for pedestrians...).
There are other reasons, too, why this ghastly female garment - besides its function as a sign or symbol of the entire repressive Islamic sharia system, analogous to the Nazi swastika or the SS death's head badge - ought to be banned, full stop.
It is seriously dangerous to the wearer's health.
We already know that Vitamin D deficiency - much more common in heavily-covered-up Islamic females, especially those who stay inside all the time - causes rickets, and that the UK has seen cases of rickets (among guess-which sector of the population) popping up again in their cities.
But Vitamin D deficiency in a woman of child-bearing years has seriously nasty consequences...not just for her, but for her baby.
Because it turns out that healthy levels of Vitamin D are necessary for the normal neurological development of the foetus. If the mother is seriously deficient...

Combine heavy veiling of women - and resultant Vit D deficiency - with the inbreeding so much favoured by Mohammedans, and you've got a recipe for the birth of a significant number of neurologically damaged children, much more so than in saner countries where women don't cover up so much and therefore get a bit more Vitamin D.
The burka and niqab are a danger to the public - and to the wearer - when the wearer is out on the streets as a driver or a pedestrian; they are also a health hazard for the wearer and her children.

Gail, this story doesn't surprise me at all. I've heard many similar ones from Western women traveling in Dar-al-Islam, including from a friend of mine who visited Turkey and Syria.
Muslim men seem convinced that because Western women have sexual freedom that this means that that they will indiscriminately f*ck anyone, and do so at the drop of a hat.
Even more ominously, many Muslim men believe that any unveiled woman is fair game for harassment or even rape.
What an ugly creed Islam is.
