This is just the beginning. If the US, UK and France, and the Sunni states led by Saudi Arabia, get their way, there will be ethnic cleansing of Christians, Alawites and Druze that will make Bosnia look like a garden party. And not just ethnic cleansing but mass murder, churches desecrated and burnt.

As in Iraq, Egypt, Libya and Tunisia, once our idiot politicians have created the mess, they will walk away from it, and the complicit MSM will hide the ongoing massacres as if they were not happening.

Syria is host to hundreds of thousands, maybe even a million Christians who have had to flee from Iraq - the country we liberated from tyranny. Where will they all go now?

Assad is brutal but compared to what will follow, he is the soul of liberalism.

The muzlums were demanding WEAPONS from the monastery? What, do they think just because their dirty mosks are weapons depositories they think everyones places of worship are too??

It should not come as a surprise to any non muslims that they would look and ask for weapons in a Church.

The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, once said "The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets and the faithful our soldiers"

For Muslims, Mosques are the Military Command centers and often they include training centers. The Mosques are often equipped with Gyms, Shooting ranges and indoctrination centers to facilitate the mobilization of their armies.

Just as Westerners think everyone else is just like us and thinks the same way, Muslims make the same conclusions about Westerners. This is facet evidence that they consider their Mosques to be as Military Bases, Hubs for strategy to round up, convert and kill non-Muslims as their Quran dictates.

Demanding weapons from a monastery is classic PROJECTION - let's see .... mosques are military indoctrination centers and weapons depots so there monasteries must be too....

Actually, it's the same logic that drove a commando unit of Muslim in Algeria in the 1990s to invade a sleepy rural Catholic Trappist monastery of Tibhirine (one of the only ones in the entire country), then to kidnap and behead the seven peaceable monks who lived there, whose only crime was continuing to practice their quiet, peaceful Christianity and also helping the local Muslim community with food, lodging, and other services (one of the monks was a physician and often treated local Muslims) -- and all this constitutes, in Islam, the crime of fomenting fasad, "disorder in the land", for it is deemed to promote the temptation of providing a viable and powerful source of virtue in society other than Islam and, even worse, one based in the other great crime on the Islamic law-books, that of shirk (the belief that Jesus is God).

It is not illogical at all, but ruthlessly logical, following the logic of Islam. In addition, the Assad regime of Syria has been, at least relatively under what may be called an enlightened dhimmitude, protecting its Christian population for years. So these Muslim attackers of a Catholic monastery were simply accomplishing a doubly logical two-fer: attacking Christians (always on the to-do list of Muslims), and getting back at Assad.

The media and the admin. still ignoring the screeching "Allah Akbars" that accompany outgoing "rebel" fire, as seen and heard on the You Tube vids. That tagline is always associated with something bad, as far as I know, yet our greatest minds choose to overlook it.

Agreed with all who fear or sense the upcoming killings of Infidels when/if the pro-Sharia rebels win this thing.

The Sunni Muslims would like to exterminate *both* the Alawites (seen by them as rank heretics) *and* the Christians.

But the Alawites are armed and dangerous and the Christians are not.

So of course the cowardly, vicious Mohammedans go for the 'soft' target.

They will set out to exterminate the Christians first, before they get started on the Alawites, should the Alawite self-defensive actions fail.

I find it interesting that this story was broadcast by 'Voice of Russia'.

This article did not say whether the weapons (and the money) were actually found. It's natural for the rebel Muslims to assume that since they often stash weapons in the mosques. I assume nothing because it is Syria even though it is Christian monastery.

Glad to note no one was harmed or property damaged.
