And it doesn't speak well of him as an attorney. For one thing, good attorney's do their homework, and they do it very thoroughly, and had he done his, then he would have discovered that CAIR is everything you mentioned, and more; and secondly, a good attorney isn't intimidated by anyone, especially not by thugs and liars. Boy, I hate to say it, but he is the LAST guy someone should hire as an attorney; not unless they're looking for a pushover to represent them.

The reason they wont debate you is tha they know you are right. A small minority of islamic leadership both religious and political know the truth about islam, the vast majority of muslim dont have a clue about their 'non-religion' only believing what they hear from their leadership. What they hear is that this is about allah-satan, offering them great power and wealth once they dominate mankind. This is one reason why in islamic countries they subdue education, and it is also why many muslims are now leaving islam because they are seeing the truth through education. How can any religion continue to say god rev ealed to muhammad that 'The world is flat and the sun sets in marshland on the edge of Earth', this being found in the book of evil, the koran. Along with many other both historical and scientific lies and misrepresentations.

Islam is thye greatest fraud ever perpertrated on mankind and the sad people who have been lied to about it are being lead by the nose into the lake of fire, the only resting place any of them will know once they take their final breath on earth.

I wrote them and asked them to reconsider and apologised for the email. I do hope they get lots of emails. It sounds like a Jewish law firm and it is sad that they mindlessly cave in to their worst enemies.

I read about this gap in Islam's history to do with Muhammad before.

Robert would probably know more - but from reading the Encyclopeadia Britannica [a 90's edition] it would appear that - it was the Syrians who compiled the Koran.

And this was after the conquest of Spain.

Which, would go some way to explain the Biblical additions - which those in Damascus would have had access to. Most probably they realized most the significance of substituting the Kaaba - the religion of Muhammad's father, and family - the Quraish and of Muhammad in his early years as the source of the new religion - with Biblical origins - to add needed authenticity - in order to appeal to the Jews and Christians.

They wanted to convert the new territory to Islam - so the Syria Umayyad needed to present - a respectable and convincing script.

Remember they were warring with the Arabs at the time - but according to the Britannica - the Kaaba script they were in possession of - was a jumbled mess and largely unreadable - as it was written in Old Arabic.

It is my theory - that the reason for the missing Islamic history - was that the Arabians were handed a ready made religion.

One the Syrians baked earlier!!

Which, can be surmised that they have never really come to terms with - much of the Islamic art and architecture, and even the famed calligraphy was developed in Syria [already a developed nation for the time] - but when the Arabian Muslims looked at Moors Spain - they condemned it as being decadent and un-Islamic.

As the story of Islam continues today - new developments are quickly demolished as being not in keeping with - the 7th century view.

[It is said that if there wasn't passing trade pre-Islamic Mecca remained largely empty - and because of the Holy Kaaba - which was only one of several - followers made Hajj to - tribal war was forbidden in Mecca - which is probably why non-Muslims are not allowed [at least not now] to visit - as they would be seen as the enemy - in Islam's perpetual everlasting Holy war - with those who do what is forbidden - by Muhammad and his Kaaba deity!!]

It would be interesting to know just what situation they were alerted to, and why they would accept it without question...I wonder if some kind of implied threat was involved?

i am disappointed that a law firm of stature - deriving livelihood from the Constitution and our legal system - would have no spirit to defend this instrument in a "personal" way.

That is why C.A.I.R., which is an unregistered foreign agent pending indictment for violation of the The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), is seeking to terrorize you out of allowing Mr. Spencer to speak. The organization is committed to political jihad and several former C.A.I.R. officials have been convicted of Islamic terror-related crimes. I'ts difficult to believe you didn't know the environment surrounding the topic Robert Spencer was to speak about, April 18 in your offices.

It's more difficult to believe you acquiesced to requests from CAIR (or any other Muslim group) to cancel the event. It's nearly impossible to believe that a New York firm would not have a working knowledge of Jihad and the principles behind it.

Be that as it may, I am ashamed to know that an American Law firm of your stature would do the bidding of representatives from an association with known connections to global terrorism. Shame on you...

Director of diversity? You've got to be kidding!

May I suggest readers visit the law firms website and peruse their attorney listings to see just how 'diverse' they are(n't). Male/female ratio is ok. On the other hand, the racial demographic at that firm remains open to question the validity/effectiveness of a supposed "Director of Diversity".

Their immediate retraction based on pressure from CAIR begs the question, what 'controversy' was so alarming, given this firm's (ahem) "diversity".

I work in a community college in Arkansas, and it is frequently disheartening, scary even, the level of ignorance of many of the students here. It is a struggle to find ANY cultural references I can use to help them make connections with what they are learning. Most have never heard of Jane Austen, Stalin, Thoreau, Churchill, Calvin Coolidge, Charlie Chaplin, Mussolini or (insert any name of anyone you think any adult American should know). Most know few if ANY details about major historical events. I’ve had students who never heard of the Great Depression and didn’t know that the American Civil War was fought before World War I. I even had a student who thought that “the King’s subjects” referred to the classes the monarch was studying.

As depressing as it is to confront such cultural illiteracy, it is far more unsettling to see a successful and well informed American hammer another nail in the coffin of free speech. I am speaking of your position as Kramer Levin executive director, and your decision to rescind permission for Robert Spencer to speak on the topic of Islam. A man trained in law should appreciate the importance of open, informed, and lively debate in a free society. A man trained in American law and history should understand that the American right of free speech has to be upheld by all Americans, even in their private domains and outside the public arena.

You are not a semi-literate high school graduate with tattoos equal in value to your last Pell Grant check. Yet in your position of authority, you have contributed more to Americans’ collective downfall than my students have. You have signaled your disavowal of a core American belief or, at the very least, your unwillingness to defend it. You have prevented a sizeable number of people from learning about Robert Spencer’s ideas. Your decision will also encourage other free speech opponents to attempt to shut down more events in the future.

You, unexpectedly, have something in common with the little blonde that traipsed in here last hour and declared there was no sense me pointing out the clock in the room because she had never learned how to tell time. Both of you could admit the error of your ways. She could learn to tell time, and you could resume your position as one of the leading members of the free world by letting Robert Spencer speak.

Please surprise me. I know she won’t.

It's a shame that all Americans aren't yet informed about the full and true facts of Islam and it's ideology.

Until we are all removed from sharia ignorance, we will never be effective for or against it.

It would be great if a movie producer would make a true movie about Islam and is begining. That would do a great deal toward informing Americans of the truth. CAIR is more effective until we can do a better job of informing the public. CAIR is even in American class rooms at grade schools, high schools, and universities.

CAIR has reached our children, and grand children. It has also reached the FBI,CIA ATF, DEPT. Defence, Military, legislators, and more. CAIR is funded by the Muslim Brotherhood. Who over sees 75% of Islams jihad.

I am very upset and angry at the cancellation of speech by Mr. Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch at the law offices of Kramer and Levine in New York City organized by Middle East Forum.

First, it is a clear violation of the freedom of speech guaranteed under our Constitution. Second, it smacks of the fear psychosis on the part of the Law Firm.

Islamists are using pressure tactics and intimidation to force Americans to follow Shariah (Islamic) Law in this country.

At the moment, Islamists are only 1-2% of the total population. I am afraid, radical Islamists will turn this beautiful country into Afghanistan and Somalia in the next 4-5 decades.

So WHEN does that book come out?
I've been very impatiently awaiting it!

I'm not familiar with your firm, but I'm saddened that ANY American lawyers would come down on the side of suppressed speech. is this really what happened?

I've heard Spencer speak myself, at the Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills, MI, and I can see why CAIR wouldn't want you to have the same opportunity. if you did, you might learn something about that organization's ties to terror groups, not to mention a lot of other inconvenient truths.

I'm doubly disappointed that a firm that includes more than a few Jews (judging by your names as you can judge by mine) would be so quick to shut down speech from such a supporter of Israel--but then again...perhaps that's the controversial part?
