Enraged Buddhists riot, murder innocents over SNL sketch -- no, wait...

It's an outrage! See the video here. Jihad Watch reader Joe Joe writes:

Saturday Night Live did a sketch on "Rude Buddha," where the founder insults followers behind their backs.

One lady (played by Lindsay Lohan) asks about "Zen," and rude-buddha says, "You come to my place, and ZEN you take your clothes off."

Jesus gets the same treatment on SNL. Muhammad? That would mean riots and problems for US nation-builders.

Will the Organization of Buddhist Cooperation (OBC) demand restrictions on the freedom of speech in the West to stop this rampant Buddhophobia?

Buddhophobia?

Oh my gosh, LOL Robert!

The reaction is what defines who is civilized.

I see them ridicule Buddha, Krishna, Jesus, Vishnu, Moses and the list goes on. You might get a few who get pissed and verbal, but thats about it.

Now Mo-Hey-I'm-Mad and his satanic hordes? Well just make fun of them and they flip out like rabid dogs on cocaine.

Look at what happened with the cartoons....

Loved the Zen joke...even though it poked fun at my religion, I had a smirk. "Zen you take your clothes off"..

Can you even began to imagine if they performed the same skit by substituting Mohamed for Buddha.

They would be fearing for their lives and Muslims would be killing each other as well as any infidel that happened to be around.

I lol'ed at some jokes too. Not bad for SNL recently.

Here is media darling Steven Colbert making fun of sacred Mormon rituals, such as posthumous baptism. He even quotes what he sees as insulting language found in Mormon scripture. Should we warn him about potential violent attacks by Mormon extremists? Maybe the president should hold a press conference for all this recent Mormonophobia:

http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/409086/february-23-2012/posthumous-mormon-baptism

Please don't talk to loud about Buddha, it is disturbing to Allah, and may cause him to turn over in his grave...or even worse, sit straight up...

BUDDHA, CHRIST AND MOHAMMAD

Political Correctness demands that Mohammed be equated with the Buddha and Christ-Depak Chopra wrote a book much praised by the Left making the three into a kind of holy trinity. SNL mocking Buddha and Jesus but not Mohammad is not very PC of them.

WHERE IS OBAMA FOR APOLOGIES?

swami "or even worse, sit straight up.." - LOL - not only you pass your messages and you are always on the ball, it is real fun to read them too. Keep it up - I mean your sense of humor of course ;)

Fortunately, the Buddha has a sense of humor. Here's what Google images comes up with if you search Laughing Buddha

By contrast, here's what Google images comes up with for Laughing Muhammad

And what about the popular Zen Buddhist story that says, "If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him." Imagine if someone told a story to Muslims, "If you meet Muhammad on the road, kill him."

No, instead we get this:

In Sahih al-Bukhari, the most canonical hadith collection, Muhammad said,

"Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him."

Various other canonical hadiths attest that Muhammad called for death to those who leave Islam. That's why even today all the schools of Islamic law prescribe death for apostasy from Islam.
A December 2010 survey conducted by the Pew Research Center found relatively widespread popular support for death penalty as a punishment for apostasy from Islam: in Egypt (84% of respondents in favor of death penalty), Jordan (86% in favor), Indonesia (30% in favor), Pakistan (76% favor) and Nigeria (51% in favor).

Did you miss the seth rogan segment about chimpanzee Jesus?

mistake... seth meyers weekend update had something about chimpanzee jesus on SNL

I think I'm going to link to this item every time I have an email exchange about the ridiculously transparent dhimmi PC nonsense about Mohammed.

We need to continue to mock and expose fraudulent intellectually dishonest and morally compromised fools like Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, SNL, South Park (Parker and Stone), et al., when they make fun of other religions while intentionally neglecting Islam. (In some cases, they even defend Islam as though they themselves believe in it, e.g., Jon Stewart).

As for Bill Maher, he does occasionally give lip service to criticizing Islam, but again, this is not enough. If he is going to mock religion at all, he should massively increase his amount of mockery of Islam and Muhammad, while drastically decreasing his amount of mockery of Christianity, in order to ensure that the amount of criticism is proportionate to the severity of the problems caused by such religions (i.e., by their more enthusiastic followers) today.

And btw, Bill Maher is a bigoted and hateful person. I say this as an atheist who is unimpressed, to say the least, with Bill Maher. To illustrate my point, here's Bill Maher in a recent monologue:

"I often talk about how conservatives are in a bubble, but liberals have their bubble too. And inside it, Obama is a shoe-in, because the Republicans are just so ridiculously out of touch. Well, they may be out of touch with you, but believe me, they're in touch with your brother-in-law in rural Pennsylvania. He doesn't hear Rick Santorum warn that homosexuality can lead to bestiality and say, "Why, that's absurd." He hears Rick Santorum say that, and tells his wife, "Honey, keep cousin Glen away from the cat.""

The simple fact of the matter is that, whatever one may say about Santorum in regards to bigotry and idiocy, Bill Maher has exceeded him in this monologue in which he makes handy use of "rural Pennsylvanians" as easy targets who he knows won't fight back.

To summarize, here's essentially what Bill Maher is saying:
1. Maher's Assumption: Santorum's a laughable bigot for suggesting homosexuality leads to beastiality.*
2. Maher's "Joke": Rural Pennsylvanian's already engage in bestiality.

This is why we must continue to hammer Bill Maher with criticism and mockery for his incredible hypocrisy, idiocy, and bigotry.

*Here's a fact check on what Santorum actually said, contrary to the claims of Maher et al.
http://bigjournalism.com/adelgado/2012/01/05/did-santorum-really-equate-homosexuality-to-bestiality-actually-no/
----------------------

And when's the last time these fool-tools mocked or criticized the Chinese regime? Is there a Christian-majority country on the planet which systematically and officially violates human rights and freedoms to the extent that the Chinese regime does? It is long past the time when these tool-fools directed their mockery and criticism toward where it is deserved, not where it is simply the safest.

Isn't picking on safe targets, those who won't or can't fight back, what bullies do?

[correction]: "It is long past the time when these tool-fools [should have] directed..."

Saturday Night Live is still on?

Hard to believe, but true. Perhaps it is the punishment of Buddha.

-The Buddha skit was funny.

-SNL is a unique LIVE show with a studio audience. If I'm
security chief for SNL, I would advise against muslim jokes too. Letterman received a death threat for less.

-For a host, Lindsey Lohan didn't do much at all.

I long ago gave up on SNL, Comedy Central, Bill Maher, and all that crew. The fact that they are cowardly and deferential to both Islam and the Chinese Communist Regime tells me that they are no friends of the First Amendment--and nor is this president whom they all support.

As for Steven Colbert, I hear his original name was the more appropriate Limburger, because he stinks.

Enraged Buddhists riot, murder innocents over SNL sketch -- no, wait...
.................................

Of course, the reason the "Rude Buddha" sketch was funny—to the extent that is was funny at all—is that it is ridiculous to think of Buddha as being rude, snide, and cutting people behind their backs.

The "Prophet" did this and worse all the time, of course.

But the main point is sound—Buddhists may or may not be offended—but what they will *not do* is get up homicidal mobs or bomb NBC's studios.

Very much of a piece with this story, posted right before this one on Jihad Watch:

"BBC: We'll Mock Jesus but not Muhammad"

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/03/bbc-well-mock-jesus-but-not-muhammad.html

This is all so craven—the idea that you can be "edgy" and "transgressive" mocking people who won't mind much—or at any rate, won't fight back beyond an irate letter or two—all while according the world's most violent creed the utmost "respect".

The BBC story is, perhaps, even worse. They are justifying craven appeasement by implying that Muslims revere "The Prophet" more than Christians do Jesus Christ—as though murderous touchiness were a sign of true reverence. Ugh.

I thought the same thing while watching this last nite... could SNL ever have done this about Mo? NO! Double-standard indeed

Mo' ham, Ed? is not to be mocked, however Muslims say they enjoy a joke.

Mo' ham, Ed? found Aisha packed and waiting for a camel taxi on the sand before Mo' ham, Ed?'s tent.

"I didn't tell you that you were going anywhere," announced Mo' ham, Ed?.

"I'm leaving you, Mo' ham, Ed?, because your other wives say you are a paedophile."

Mo' ham, Ed? said, "Paedophile uh? That's a pretty big word for a six year-old."

I know it's not original but it sure is funny. Even the goatbeards would have to agree.

Fayzal,

You find racist jokes funny? Maybe you really are a racist, not just a "racist" by your own criteria as applied to yourself.

'' He doesn't hear Rick Santorum warn that homosexuality can lead to bestiality and say, "Why, that's absurd." He hears Rick Santorum say that, and tells his wife, "Honey, keep cousin Glen away from the cat.""

Well, sorry, Kinana, but I did find that quite funny. Not because it was a 'racist' joke (I don't think it was) but because humour is so often about perceived incongruities.

Jan,

I thought it was funny initially as well. But then I thought about why he chose that target population. I would argue that Maher's choice of target makes use of "socially acceptable" bigotry. But it is bigotry nonetheless. I believe he specifically chose "rural Pennsylvanians" on the assumption that most of them are white, i.e., by using this term he's basically saying rural white people, and that it is socially acceptable in the mainstream media (in the U.S. and in most of the West) to make various kinds of jokes about white people, whereas for the most part it is not socially acceptable to make jokes about non-whites. Maher didn't choose them because they were rural, or because they live in Pennsylvania. "Rural Pennsylvania" is simply a way of saying "rural white people", hicks, rednecks, etc.

Anyways, most humour about groups of people uses bigotry or stereotypes. Society accepts some forms of bigotry and not others, at any given time. Maher and others are using a double standard that is consistent with mainstream media biases and his (Maher's) own political views.
