Well, before I make too much of the Uighur connection to Kramer Levin, I'd like to note in the interests of fairness that Rebiya Kadeer's comments to a Uighur associaation in Virginia on the anniversary of 9/11 were scathing towards the bombers.

However, I also believe there's a growing mistrust of the First Amendment in the American Left, and Kramer Levin's actions are a part of this. We've seen the Obama administration trying to push for all M.D.'s in America to be qualified in abortion procedures, regardless of conscience, and its recent attempts to force paying for birth control coverage by religious employers. The Left is always more receptive to concerns of noisy client groups, which is why it's looking ridiculous in its simultaneous advocacy for Sharia, homosexual marriage, and radical feminism. Given its history of having a large "soft spot" for Marxist-Leninist regimes, today's American Left (with the noteworthy exception of Nat Hentoff) really cannot be trusted to stand for free speech or free exercise of religion when it offends one of their important constituencies.

It has come to my attention that, in response to pressure from CAIR, which is a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood (an international organization whose goal is to spread and deepen the influence of political Islam), your law firm withdrew your plans to host a Middle East Forum gathering at which Robert Spencer, a well-known scholar and critic of jihad and Islamic law, was to speak.

I urge you to reverse your decision not to host the Middle East Forum.

If you insist on capitulating to CAIR and political Islam, in my view that will cast an unflattering light on your firm. Robert Spencer points out that

Hamas-linked CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case -- so named by the Justice Department. CAIR operatives have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror. I read with great concern about your firm cancelling the abovementioned event.
All of us, who enjoy freedom of speech and freedom of worship have a duty to uphold these freedoms whenever the occasion arises.
And you, being a part of a law firm, have even more of an obligation to do so.

I understand that you have muslim clients who would get upset at having islamic scholar Mr Robert Spencer speak at that event because he exposes the double standard that islam espouses and the lack of reciprocity of muslims while demanding concessions for their faith.
But you could possibly explain to your clients that their legal interests will be protected by the firm regardless of whether this and similar such events are held or not.

Please do reconsider giving in to the whims of Hamas-linked CAIR (who is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case -- so named by the Justice Department).

Your firm chose to host this event which was/is a great idea and the firm MUST continue to support free speech.

Not to make light of any of this but the law firm is not alone. Islam is far ahead of it all. And the U.S. (amoung others) is lacking in truth and therefor effectiveness. Appeasing Islam is much easier than dealing with the truth. It's a form of submission without being called a coward.

I've heard some comments about the left being easy against Islam. Let me remind everyone that this Islamic aggression has been going on for several centuries. Meaning the right is not exactly effective in these matters either. Both political parties have failed to provide allegiance to Americas citizens and Constitution.

I have a date in June 2012 for the legal case against my Employer that brought in a new Policy in 2009 that forced Employees to obey the Terms Of Contract for "Diversity" and go further to expect the support both Morally and Financially for a Public event in Toronto where Laws are broken for Child-abuse, Quasi-pedophilia and where a Pro-Hamas group gets Standing in the Event .

I made it clear that I was NOT trying to deny the large candian Corporation the Right to enable and endorse/Condone child-abuse and Pedophilia, but merely defending my Right and others Rights to NOT be Complicit one day by the U.N. or a canadian Court that expected me to not go along and use the excuse " I was just Following orders " and didn't do the child-abuse or directly Support Hamas terrorism or the murdering of gays in gaza.

Rather than mount a huge case in my favour , I just reversed the onus for them to take a stance and either admit their Policy (still posted on their Website) to the Share Holders so they know they are investing in a Pro-pedophilia Corp or a pro-hamas Corp that knows the hamas uses kids as suicide-bombers , and hamas freely murders gays in public by a brutal death .

The Law Firm for my Employer is just as guilty because their Website pretends to care about Children as they Donate to a Global program to Vacinate kids in the 3rd world , but this too is a ruse to feel good because their Diversity Policy also includes endorsing the Quasi-pedophilia and Child-abuse in Toronto while they are now DEFENDING a Corportaion's right to have a pro Child-abuse stance and Fund a pro-hamas group .
The real tragedy is that the Lawyers and many Workers I have dealt with in this case are the neo-feminists that appear to have sold their soul for a steady job or the $600.00 an hour as a Lawyer.
