That the left is not up in arms over "honor killings" is insane. What could be a greater violation of women's rights than *their murder* in the name of a patriarchal creed?
Yet, somehow, Islam trump women's rights, equality...and basic human decency. Madness...
Awsome Jamie, the honor you bring to your father's memory and legacy is worthy of true merit, unlike the so called "honor" muslims invoke which is a patently abject, and shameful disgrace in the eyes of humanity.
Jamie, My background is (on a lesser scale) like yours. My parents were very pro human rights. I've always been very pro-human rights. And suddenly, nonsensically, I am so readily perceived as a negative prejudiced hater. The wolf in sheep's clothing: Islam, crying victim. The silly shepherd who refuses to see what's under the sheep's clothing: the so-called good liberals, so many of the so-called human rights people - Left, feminist, etc.
Thank you for taking your public stand - as I do, and as I hope more and more people do.
