Syrian Christians fleeing for Lebanon

The fall of the Assad regime will make Syria's Christians targets for two reasons: first, they benefited from where the Baath regime contradicted Sharia on the role of Christians in society. Secondly, and for the longer term, they are Christians, and they are marked for subjugation under Sharia.

What breaks out as Assad's enemies divide the spoils of the fallen regime, settle scores, and vie for power will not be "tolerance" as we know it. "Syrian Christians Fleeing to Lebanon," from CatholicCulture, March 8:

Amid reports that 1,000 Syrians are now fleeing the country daily for Lebanon, the national director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Lebanon described the Church's response.
"We have direct experience of Christian families who have fled to Syria [from] the violence or the oppression of the regime," said Father Paul Karam. "There are families who have relatives in Lebanon who have fled here and want to change their lives, looking for work. The Church's response in Lebanon was the hospitality and care of these people: we host them in parishes, provide food and clothing, we assist them at an economic level and insert them into the social fabric."
"As a Church we reiterate that we are against violence," he added. "We want to promote peace and encourage dialogue. As for the Christians, the danger that looms is a scenario like Iraq, where Christians are forced to flee the country. The risk is that a dictatorial regime is replaced with an Islamist type which imposes the Sharia."

Jason Kenney minister of immigration Canada spoke yesterday, and mentioned a nomination program where Canadian employerscould nominate individual workers to obtain work visas to Canada. Is anyone on here a Canadian employer and would like to check this out? I'm thinking some of these Syrian Christians must have skills. ?

I am not to sure if they are going to be any better off in Lebenon. I know a lot of lebonanes christioans living here in the states becuase life was not to easy for the them in Lebonan.

Iraqi Christians fled to Syria, Syrian Christians are fleeing to Lebanon, where will Lebanese Christians flee?

The time of the easy foreign policy farce of supporting "secular" Muslim leaders and countries in order to avoid open jihad is obviously over. It is time for the West to lift the veil of "protection" of the public and of the Leftist liberal (supremacist) elitist jihad allies (those who hope to benefit financially and with power from the instability of jihad). It is time for the governments of the West to take a stand against enforcement (officially or unofficially) of Sharia, as they would against the political rule of Naziism.

The fleeing Christians should organise themselves to reflect the Palestinian narrative as crybaby refugees. That way the UN might give them similar status that comes with a free 200-truck convoy of goodies every day.

I have a thought.

Once upon a time, and not so very long ago, Christians did have a *majority* in Lebanon.

Now: the total number of Christians in Mesopotamia/ Iraq and Syria comes to about two million, if I recall correctly.

Add two million people to the current Christian population of Lebanon, and it immediately acquires a major demographic boost.

Memo to the Christians already in Lebanon: whatever your doctrinal and ethnic differences - don't just feed, house and clothe your suffering brethren (note: every Christian child who survives, is one more person to swell your numbers, in the demographic battle). *Arm* them and yourselves and then perhaps, if you all stick together, you can seize and defend your Mont Liban heartland. Further memo: DROP any residual antisemitism.

Your sufferings are due entirely and solely and primarily to Islam, Islam, Islam.

*Do not* ally with Muslims against any kind of non-Muslim. Forget about the Muslims. If you want to survive, you will have to stick to each other like glue, and FIGHT. Identify the minimal core territory - it must have water sources, access to the sea, and Military High Ground - that you think you can hold, with the help of those extra thousands of co-religionists who are coming into your country; and prepare to hold it at all costs. And make friends with Israel and the Israelis; and learn from them the meaning of the Hebrew phrase, milhemeth mitzvah, which applies to you as non-Muslims assailed by Jihad, just as fully as it applies to the Jews.

If dar al Harb loses Iraq and Syria - which were basically lost anyway - but manages to *regain* Lebanon, due to the tilt in demographics caused by so many more Christians (as well as 'secular' Assyrians/ Chaldeans and Armenians, etc.) coming into Lebanon, then I call that holding the line.

I suggest Christians throughout the world learn the truth about Islam. Because once they understand the truth they will be much more effective.

Islam is unlike all other cultures. In fact Islam is a bad neighbor know matter the location. Islam will always be allegiant to the Qu'ran, Hadith, Sira, and Sharia.

The aggresiveness will not end until Islam is seccessful with its ideology (of total submission) world wide. Or until the world stops appeasing and submiting to Islams demands, and educate themselves with regard to the ideology of Islam.

We must stop thinking the problems will go away if we just keep giving in. Islam raps themselves in many masks and can easily switch from a gental lamb to killer lion, in a flash.

Hitlers SS couldn't or would be that clever. Very few armys can be that clever. Think about it. What a great weapon that would be. To be a trusting friend one moment. Once the trust is complete and the time is right this trusting friend becomes a barbaric terrorist.

That is why the dualisum, combined with taqiyya, and raping yourself with a religious over-tones, is so effective. And has been for 1400 years.

I am interested to see how this will affect the Antiochian Orthodox Church. The Antiochians have about 2 million members worldwide, but their headquarters are in Damascus. Are they going to become like the Church of Constantinople?

At the same time, it's possible that good may actually come of this. If the Antiochian parishes in the US are able to call media attention to the persecution of their Patriarchate, perhaps more Americans will wake up to what is going on.

All believers, worldwide, should be in constant prayer for our brothers and sisters in the Middle East.
