Justin Raimondo apologizes for accusing me of murder, Reza Aslan doubles down

Jihad Watch reader Daniel has alerted me to the fact that Justin Raimondo, who accused a whole contingent of freedom fighters, including Pamela Geller and me, of responsibility for the murder of Shaima Alawadi, has apologized. I have no respect for Raimondo's complacency regarding jihad and Islamic supremacism, and find offensive and absurd his labeling as "hate-mongers" those who are fighting for the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and the equality of rights of all people before the law. Also, he outright lies in claiming that any of the people he names, including me, have ever contended that "all Muslims are evil, deceptive, murderous, you-name-it." Nonetheless I have to acknowledge that this utterly contemptible and dishonest human being has manifested a small amount of maturity and honesty in issuing this apology:

Man:

In a recent column on the death of Shaima Alawadi, an Iraqi immigrant who lived in San Diego and was found with a note next to her dead body indicating it may have been a hate crime, I attributed her brutual bludgeoning to the general atmosphere of anti-Arab and anti-Muslim sentiment in the area. As it turns out, the note may have been a fake, and the circumstances surrounding her death are increasingly cloudy. Although I had no way of knowing this when I wrote the piece, I should have waited before jumping the gun, so to speak, and rushing into print with accusations against the usual hate-mongers. I specifically mentioned a number of those hate-mongers by name: Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Councilwoman Debra Pauly, congressmen Ed Royce and Gary Miller, and conservative activist David Horowitz. I owe each and every one of them an apology, and here it is.

While the facts are not yet clear, what is clear is that I need to do what every ideologically-inclined writer must constantly do, and that is guard against confirmation bias. Of course, the Geller-Spencer-Horowitz crowd will crow that this just confirms their contention that all Muslims are evil, deceptive, murderous, you-name-it, but it confirms no such thing. It only tells us that the human heart, no matter what body it rests in, is capable of nearly infinite evil.

Again, my apologies to one and all.

Reza Aslan, who also accused me of murder, was -- predictably -- not so mature or honest. He tweeted this in response to my call to apologize:

Boy:

AslanApology2.jpg

Aslan thus continues to hasten his own professional demise. Soon even the most blinkered and willfully blind among his coterie of Leftist supporters will realize that there is no substance to this adolescent creep, and that he is an embarrassment even to them.

When you say "boy" Reza Aslan do you mean "immortal boy", as in Qur'an 56:17 & 76:19? just asking. He sure looks like one of them!
I'm sure you don't mean "boy" as in "Muhammad's friend Zahir".
http://crossmuslims.blogspot.com/2010/03/muhammad.html

"...there is no substance to this adolescent creep..."

And worse than that, Aslan worships an Arab warlord who liked to fornicate with 9 year-old children and holds a belief that his pedophile prophet is a model of exemplary Muslim male behavior.

That, and apparently he has a thing for beards...

Robert, honestly, you should sue for:

Libel:
A published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation.

Slander:
The action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation.

This is what I would call a left handed apology.

''... the circumstances surrounding her death are increasingly cloudy. Although I had no way of knowing this when I wrote the piece, I should have waited before jumping the gun, so to speak, and rushing into print with accusations against the usual hate-mongers.''

So, 'it wasn't my fault' and although I'm grudgingly apologising, they're still 'hatemongers.'

'' I specifically mentioned a number of those hate-mongers by name:'' and then he names them *again* just to underline it.

''Of course, the Geller-Spencer-Horowitz crowd will crow that this just confirms their contention that all Muslims are evil, deceptive, murderous, you-name-it,...''

Even when he's 'apologising', he can't stop lying. The use of the sneering word 'crow', and the outright lie - neither Robert Spencer or Ms Gellar have *ever* said *all* muslims are 'evil, deceptive, murderous, you-name-it.''

(Plenty of muslims have said that about the rest of us kufr, though - but of course this contemptible little squirt won't deign to mention that).

As for aslan, he is so pathetic, childish and babyish, he really isn't worth even a look of contempt.

Ah, the left, so brave, dauntless and courageous, so eager to reveal the truth at all costs. Puke.

Norwegian Anders Behring Breivik was sane when he killed 77 people last summer in attacks he saw as punishing pro-immigration “traitors”, a psychiatric team said on Tuesday, contradicting a prior report that found him psychotic.

Breivik has insisted he is mentally stable and demanded that his attacks – the most violent in Norway since World War Two – be judged as political rather than the work of a deranged mind

aslan reminds me of a sniggering, posturing little 6th former, who is convinced he is being terribly witty and sophisticated, but the grown-ups are bored waiting for him to grow up.

Aslan may be an immature dirt bag, but he can apparently be entertaining. The sexy walrus comment almost made green tea come out my nose.

Robert, do you secretly hang out with a penguin?

at least this guy has bigger b... than reza.
M

aslan reminds me of a sniggering, posturing little 6th former, who is convinced he is being terribly witty and sophisticated, but the grown-ups are bored waiting for him to grow up.

Robert ... you and Pamela need to sue this guy. This is outrageous. And you need to sue the organizers of the rallies who slandered both of you. Unbelievable.

So here's the sequence of events:

1) Reza Aslan observes the murder of an innocent woman.

2) Reza Aslan jumps to wild conclusions and points fingers of blame at Robert Spencer.

3) Reza Aslan is humiliated when it is revealed that members of his own religion murdered her for "Islamic honor".

4) Instead of apologizing and humbling himself and retracting his accusations, he tweets a juvenile insult at Robert Spencer.

Does somebody actually take this fool seriously at this point? Why do they? It should be over for him at this point as a recognized spokesman for anything except Islamic supremacism and the Iranian regime. That's all he's been all along. A puppet and a parrot and an immature little boy.

LOLS! "Sexy Walrus".

I like it.

Justin Raimondo did the right thing by going on record with an apology to Robert, Pamela, and others ...

(while Reza remains an ill-humored, petulant child; so we won't expect anything honorable or remarkable from him any time soon).

Although I do agree that you're sexy, Robert! :)

Miriam, you wrote: 'at least this guy has bigger b... than reza.'

Not only bigger, but two more than Reza! :))

That's not an apology, he's calling you "hate mongers" while retracting the calumny, libel and slander so he doesn't get sued. He's just thinking about himself, not you or Pamela. Nothing changed, he's still a dolt.

Raimondo claims he had "no way of knowing" that the Alawadi case stank like week old fish when he attributed her murder to "the general atmosphere of anti-Arab and anti-muslim sentiment"? Jeez, Justin, most of us figured out from the very first report, and certainly from that gonzo interview with her "distraught" daughter, that evidence for this being a "hate crime" was so flimsy as to be virtually non-existent, and that the crime had the earmarks of an "honor killing". If you hadn't been busy constructing a PC/MC "narrative" from your "confirmation bias", you might have noticed little details like the missing first "threatening note" and the window broken from the inside and the fact that the police had executed search warrants on the house and impounded the victim's car.

As for "Boy" Aslan, Robert should pass this along to him and watch his head explode:

http://barenakedislam.com/2012/04/10/muslims-find-a-cure-for-erectile-dysfunction/

... and calling Spencer and Geller "hate mongers", that's calumny too. One step forward two steps back. No apology there whatsoever.

I know he is out in the west coast. does he ever get here to NYC? I would love nothing but to face this a...hole and call him a koskesh!!!!!

Amazing. So Aslan accuses you of hatemongering towards 'all Muslims', lumping them in with terrorists etc (which you don't do), then he lumps you in with murderers - and that's *not* hatemongering??

Robert, despite Reza Aslan's sexual harrassment of you, let's try looking on the bright side: At least by accepting an open homosexual in their ranks, it does appear jihadists are starting to liberalise.

Oh, and at least we know that beard fetish is an explanation of why he's so into jihadists!

Personally speaking, I would decline an apology from someone like Raimondo who still accuses me of being a hate-monger. With apologies like this, who needs accusations?

Robert, instead of admitting he was wrong he tells you he comments on your sex appeal. That's a heck of an apology, especially considering he's a married man, presumably heterosexual. Aslan is a bizarre guy to say the least.

Robert, instead of admitting he was wrong he comments on your sex appeal. I think he's telling you he thinks you're sexy, in a kind of a backwards way. That's a heck of an apology, especially considering he's a married man, presumably heterosexual. Aslan is a bizarre guy to say the least.

Hilarious photo, Champ. That's one of the reasons Reza is called "boy" Aslan. No beard. Ever the ephebe.

Thanks, Classicus! ...glad you liked it :)

So sexy its weird.

Reza Aslimbo ...

How low can you go?

You definitely win the prize!

Justin Raimondo Man, you have written:

“In a recent column on the death of Shaima Alawadi, I attributed her brutual bludgeoning to the general atmosphere of anti-Arab and anti-Muslim sentiment in the area.

I had written “It sickens me to write this, to report on the latest manifestation of the hate that has enveloped my country and spread out across the world like a giant oil spill, but the death of Shaima Alawadi, a 32-year-old Iraqi woman and mother of five, is a moral obscenity – a crime for which the War Party must take responsibility.”

As it turns out, the note may have been a fake, and the circumstances surrounding her death are increasingly cloudy. Although I had no way of knowing this when I wrote the piece, I should have waited before jumping the gun, so to speak, and rushing into print with accusations against the usual hate-mongers. I specifically mentioned a number of those hate-mongers by name: Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Councilwoman Debra Pauly, congressmen Ed Royce and Gary Miller, and conservative activist David Horowitz"

Indeed Man, you still have not realised that “the hate that has enveloped (your) country and spread out across the world like a giant oil spill” are the teachings of Islam which has preached hate AND MURDER against those that do not believe in its ideology since its inception 1400 years ago.

These commandments to hate and murder have been preserved in perpetuity in the Quran, a document that over a billion Muslims believe is direct word of God. The Quran contains over a 100 verses that command Muslims to war with nonbelievers to establish Islamic rule.

And the “war party” are the Jihadists of Islam, which urges its followers to wage Jihad or "Holy War" against non-believers as the highest virtue of its hateful ideology.

The Quran Says:
"Obey Allah and His Messenger.: But if they turn back, Allah loveth not those who reject Faith. ( Chapter 3, Verse 32),
And slay them wherever you come upon them, and expel them from where they expelled you; persecution is more grievous than slaying. But fight them not by the Holy Mosque until they should fight you there; then, if they fight you, slay them -- such is the recompense of unbelievers…And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. (Chapter 2, Verse 191, 3)
I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them (Chapter 8, Verse 12)"
And dozens of others

Justin Raimondo “I owe each and every one of them an apology, and here it is.

It only tells us that the human heart, no matter what body it rests in, is capable of nearly infinite evil.”

Unfortunately Justin Raimondo your apology falls woefully short

1. You have not apologized for calling them “hate-mongers”, in fact you have repeated the claim.

2. You admit that you are “ideologically-inclined” yet you have not apologized for espousing and promoting the ideology of hate and murder - Islam.

3. You have not apologized for falsely claiming that Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, contend that all Muslims are evil, deceptive and murderous, when they have repeatedly said that the ideology of Islam is what is evil, deceptive and murderous but most Muslims are not.

4. Finally you have not apologized for not condemning the real murderers for the brutal bludgeoning to death of Shaima Alawadi - deceptive Muslims who have been influenced by the deceptive and murderous ideology of Islam.

One look at over-hyped Reza's pre-adolescent tweets (and refusal to man-up to wrongdoing) and you can see why he's called...

BOY!

Raimondo wrote:

Of course, the Geller-Spencer-Horowitz crowd will crow that this just confirms their contention that all Muslims are evil, deceptive, murderous, you-name-it...

This is a blatant falsehood, so I'm with you, Wellington. There are some in the JW crowd who may hold this sentiment, but there are others who recognize that plenty of Muslims are better than their creed.

Reza prefers the bacha bazis

Oh dear.

Looks like Reza has Beard Envy.

You sexy walrus!
Where you from?
You sexy walrus!
Since you came along
You sexy walrus
How did you know..

boom da boom da boom.

Reza can only fantasize that he's a gay Robin to a Batman Robert...

Quoting Raimondo:

"Of course, the Geller-Spencer-Horowitz crowd will crow that this just confirms their contention that all Muslims are evil, deceptive, murderous, you-name-it..."

Kepha writes:

Interesting. So there are "some in the JW crowd" who disagree with Raimondo by believing that "all Muslims are evil, deceptive, murderous, you-name-it", and there are presumably others who agree with Raimondo that not all Muslims are that way.

So, all rolled up like a tense bundle of semi-coherent thought here, we have

1) allowing Raimondo the role of defining and thus dictating to us what is permissible and what is not permissible to think about Muslims

2) allowing Raimondo the role of defining and thus dictating to us the implied notion that the stance that takes serious our inability to tell the difference between harmless Muslims and deceitfully Islamic Muslims is equal to the stance that declares by some apodictic knowledge that "all Muslims" are thus "evil, deceptive, murderous, you-name-it"

3) an implied indifference to the problem of the distinctions between "all Muslims", "virtually all Muslims", "most Muslims", and "too many Muslims"

4) an implied indifference to our inability to tell the difference between harmless Muslims and deceitfully Islamic Muslims (a problem which remains ignored by many in the anti-Islam movement)

5) and finally, the magical key that certain people have in the anti-Islam movement, by which they are endowed with the ability to "recognize" the harmless Muslims -- an ability that has never been adequately explained to this day, though it has been asserted as fact time and time again.

Seems to me Raimondo and his ilk get more out of this bargain -- "apology" or no -- than do those of us concerned to protect the West from Muslims.

Excellent comment, LemonLime ..as always :)

Thank you Champ, much appreciated.

I said "there may be some". After all, the JW comments section is a free speech forum, and it's only rarely that someone gets banned.

"You sexy walrus"?

What???

Please say that the writer of the above [ahem] phrase isn't making a pass.

Oh Reza, oh Reza, where have you gone?
Down the Islamo rabbit-hole?
Along with your Soul, along with the Sun, to
Follow a bloody pervert from 631?

And Reza? Oh Reza? I still want that match -
