Ridiculous. I know quite a bit about the history of the Bay Area—I've worked on several books on the region—and my husband works in San Jose right now.

Many of the Spanish-language place names in the state are profoundly Christian. San Jose—St. Joseph—is no exception.

San Jose was founded in 1777 as El Pueblo de San José de Guadalupe, the first town in the Spanish colony of Alta California.

It sits on the site of the original 1803 basilica. The current church dates from 1885, and is a surprisingly harmonious pastiche of Spanish and Greek Revival styles.

The name "Tallahassee" actually means "place of plowed corn fields" in the dialect of the local natives, the surviving elements of which relocated to Louisiana and whose descendents may still be found in that state.

As for the "Jose" in San Jose, yes, it means "Joseph" in Spanish. "Yosei" was a very common Jewish name in the Judeo-Aramaic dialect, and of course, is derived from "Yosef," or "Joseph," and means "He will increase" in Hebrew.

Back to the article from Jannah.org. I did a little research and discovered that its author is not even Muslim, but a black American "Hebrew Israelite" "Moorish" poseur.

He's not even just claiming that Muslims named the town after "Imam Hussein", but that Hussein Ibn Ali, the 7th-century son of the last "Rightly-Guided Calif" Ali, somehow made his way from dark ages Arabia to California's Santa Clara Valley. (By the way, there's another fine old Catholic name—the region was named for St. Francis' counterpart, St. Clare.)

In contrast, no Infidel is claiming that St. Joseph *himself* journeyed to California, just that the city was named in his honor.

What that author failed to factor in (aside from the more glaringly obvious) was the extreme unlikelihood that black African Muslims -- who controlled the African slave trade, from the abduction of the boys to the cruel detention and transportation of them -- would not have sold Muslim Africans to the buyers. I.e., it is highly likely that the black Africans who came across the Atlantic were winnowed out before they their journey ever began, by being chosen as Infidels in the first place. The "Unnatural Selection" of Islamic Darwinianism, Survival of the Infidelest. Perhaps there may have been the extremely rare exception -- and perhaps that rare exception may have chanced upon a jew's harp to twang under the leaves of a magnolia tree one fine summer morning while Massa was away; but to get from there to the invention of Jazz...?
