“Submit to Sharia or get out” of Sudan: Christians must become citizens today or be deported, in bid to rid country of Christianity

But no worries. Everyone knows that Sharia is benign and fully compatible with freedom and humane values. The Sudanese government is just misunderstanding it. “Southern Sudanese Christians Fear Forced Repatriation,” from Compass Direct News, April 6:

JUBA, South Sudan, April 6 (CDN) “” Christians from South Sudan who have until Easter Sunday (April 8) to try to become citizens of Sudan or be deported fear authorities will use the occasion to rid the country of Christianity, church leaders said.

More than 500,000 citizens of southern ethnic origin who have been living in Sudan for decades — some of them born there — will be considered foreigners after Sunday. Human rights organizations have called on Khartoum to grant them more time to either leave or apply for citizenship.

Christian leaders expressed concern that local media such as the daily Al Intibaha newspaper have been stoking hatred against predominantly Christian southern Sudanese, describing them as “cancer cells in the body of Sudan, the land of the Arab and Islam,” and calling on the government to deport them.

“The local media are becoming very hostile toward us who are still in the north,” one Christian told Compass by phone on condition of anonymity.

Gov. Ahmad Abbass of Sennar state in central Sudan vowed to deport southern Sudanese from his state “without regret,” according to Alsahafa, an Arabic daily. Banners have appeared in Khartoum streets calling on the government and Muslims in general to harass and expel southern Sudanese, some of whom are also Muslims.

“Why are they still here? The government should expel them from the country,” one banner asserts….

As Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has pledged to base the new Sudan more deeply on sharia (Islamic law), ethnic southerners are faced with a difficult choice, Elizabeth Kendal writes in the Religious Liberty Prayer Bulletin.

“The message essentially is this: Submit to sharia or get out,” she writes. “Churches may well be targeted immediately and aggressively, starting 9 April. All across the Sudan, churches have been emptying as ethnic southerners — including those born and raised in the north — flee south. This could eventually become a pretext for closing them.”

At the same time, police have been mistreating some of the more than 113,000 southern Sudanese who are living in open spaces in Khartoum after having fled conflict in South Sudan. Officers have removed their make-shift housing, including temporary latrines, according to Jovana Luka, deputy chairperson of the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission in South Sudan, who recently returned from Khartoum….

“”Submit to Sharia or get out” of Sudan” – writing was on the wall for several years.

Let’s see ! In less than ten years from now, we will see an increase in cases like “”Submit to Sharia or get out” of our area” in the heart of Europe. Any one wants to bet?

I think France and Britain will be the first to fall to the district jihad. The British are a way too often in bed with the Saudies and the French don’t have the balls to implement what they announce to the public.

We are not too far behind Europe in many respect.

    ………………………

    “Become citizens””yes, *second-class citizens* under Shari’ah.

Actually, characterizing the condition of dhimmis under Shari’ah as “second-class” gives rather too rosy a view of their terrible oppression and insecurity.

    ………………………

While Sudan initially resisted the secession of South Sudan, they now seek to make Sudan an even more horrific Shari’ah state, rid of everyone who is not Muslim.

Just look at Islamic hell-holes such as Afghanistan and Somalia to see how *that* works out.

    ………………………

This is absolutely horrifying, but hardly surprising. While impoverished South Sudan hardly has the means to provide for a huge influx of refugees, it is still best if all Christians in Sudan *do* leave for South Sudan. It is not hard to see that any Christians who remain there will become targets”even more than previously.

    ………………………

As with Darfur”also mainly Muslim”there is an ethnic angle to this, as well. Most Sudanese Muslims consider themselves to be “Arab””never mind that this is objectively fairly absurd. They consider the South Sudanese and those from Darfur to be black or sub-saharan Africans”Muslim or not”and treat them very poorly when they are not enslaving them, raping them, or murdering them outright.

    Population exchange.

If South Sudan is to have even a chance of surviving and defending themselves against the Jihad, they *cannot* afford to have a huge and expanding Muslim Fifth Column in their midst… (which is what is crippling Israel and India, right at the moment; whereas if India at partition had expelled every single Muslim into Pakistan – whether ‘west’ or ‘east’ [now Bangladesh], and if Israel in 1949 had evicted every Muslim from the territory they controlled, and then done the same with the territory they gained in 1967 and the territory they gained in 1973, both countries would be in a far better position today, vis a vis the Jihad).

Non-Muslims in the North would be best advised to all pack up and flee to the south…and, once there, be prepared sooner or later to fight like hell against jihad raiders coming over the border from the north. Better to die free than live – or die, more likely – as a miserable dhimmi slaves.

And the South will have to bite the bullet and eject every single Muslim from their midst.

Everything PJG has posted here – and she’s been to the Sudan many times – says they won’t do that, or that they are very unlikely to do that.

But I can’t see how they will survive long-term, if they don’t.

At church yesterday, as usual I prayed for the Sudanese people before I prayed for my own family. Coming back from Sudan is always strange…I realise that I have been in the midst of evil, a relentless expression of jihad with Christians endlessly sufferring and Muslims either nastily defiant, in denial and struggling to live a human life, or even a peculiar mixture of these extremes.
The Sudanese Christians in the north should go back to the south as directed, even the Nuers who have found favour with the government; their luck will run out, as they should realise.
And the Christians of the Nuba Montains – where will they go? And the Copts and the Sudanese converts from Islam who have had a precarious but beautifully dignified life maintaining their faith? They can’t go anywhere.
I was told that in 1994 the Sudanese Government forced all the locals who had converted from Islam to Christianity to return to Islam. If they refused, they were arrested and beaten, and only intervention from foreign embassies put a stop to the savagery. Will there be a repeat of this when the government realises that they still (horror of horrors) have Christians in the north? Will the embassies intervene again if it happens?
At least the Southern Sudanese have somewhere to go, even if it will be hard for them – very hard. I know a Coptic man who has a mother in the US but the US will not give him a visa to see her, let alone let him live there. Yet the US takes in all those Muslims with dubious “refugee” credentials.
Sending the Southerners who are Muslim to the south is cynical ans savage. Many of them were forced or lured into Islam. Now they are to be used as a tool to help Islamise the South – because the same apostasy laws as exist in the north are, of course, in place in the south. “Freedom of religion” only exists in the South Sudan Constitution, not in Islamic law!
With the South Sudanese government touting for investment in the Muslim world, the growth of Islam in the south is assured.
But the Christian church is working hard to strengthen its influence; so if anyone can help charities such as Barnabas Fund, please think about the good work they do in this regard.

The regime in Khartoum has already initiated a population transfer. Instead of complaining, the one in Ranciel should reciprocate, and expel all Muslims from S Sudan, and just mention that they’ll need that lebensraum for the Christians who are ‘returning’. By all means, make N Sudan Infidelrein, but by the same standards, make S Sudan Muslimischerein. Do a complete mutual population transfer, and let Sudan get re-annexed to Egypt. I’m sure that Egypts new Islamic rulers would be happy to have Omar el Bashir run the entire country, not just ‘Sudan’.

Oh, and while they are at it, have Darfur separated from Sudan, and annexed to Chad, which is still a Muslim, although not Arab, country. They’ll fit right in.

“WHITES IN UK ASK ALL BLACKS TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY” ,
” ARAB SUDANESE ASK ALL BLACKS TO LEAVE THE SUDAN”

The first headline is false but if it was true you would hear and outcry like you never heard before from just about every country in the world and every group in the world. the second headline, which is true doesn’t even get mentioned except on JW.
This indeed nothing but pure racism by the Arab north to ethnically cleanse the Sudan of black Africans. They have been doing this in Darfur an now want it done throughout Sudan.

Could this be a future model for all Muslims of the EU, especially France? Give them 24 hours to swear allegiance to France, even if born there, or get out. Britain will be next, followed by Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Spain, Denmark, etc. Really hate to stoop down to Islamic levels of rough-shod intolerance and immorality, but what’s good for the goose…

RE @BlueRaven: “Let’s see ! In less than ten years from now, we will see an increase in cases like “”Submit to Sharia or get out” of our area” in the heart of Europe.”

Yes, it could come to that, or maybe not… Either we get serious with this anti-human, anti-religious, anti-freedom, amoral Jihad primitive cult of Islam, or become like them… and suffer mass murder on Easter like this all over Europe. Sudan’s sinister northern Sharia is what the whole Umma’s dreams of the Caliphate looks like. Therefore, make all practicing Muslims in all of Europe pledge an Allegiance to Europe, not the Caliphate, and maybe there is a chance. It’s either allegiance or expulsion, not Lebanonization and gradual retro-destruction of Western civilization. Make them choose.

    minoria,

Irshad Manji is a courageous, humane, Muslim who speaks out for tolerance and human rights.

Fjordman criticizes Manji on the grounds that reform of Islam, which she advocates, seems as often to lead to fundamentalist Islam as to humane Islam

    http://www.jihadwatch.org/2007/01/fjordman-why-i-criticize-irshad-manji.html

The point is, it seems obvious that for Western societies to protect themselves, further Muslim immigration must be totally stopped. It doesn’t matter if there is a reform movement in Islam, because the dedicated Islamists will always have an influence far in excess of their numbers, and because Muslim-majority societies seem to always revert to Sharia law, sooner or later.

Manji is probably an effective advocate for reform within the Muslim community. However, as far as I can see, she does not address the need for the non-Muslim societies to protect themselves from further Muslim encroachment.

    PJG

S Sudan, for starters, has established diplomatic relations w/ Israel and even moved to have their embassy in Jerusalem. That’s more than can be said about the US. Also, b’cos of this, and b’cos Sudan regards them as an enemy, no Arab state will go out of its way to invest in them.

They can have Israel investing in their oil industry. Only problem – they are landlocked, and all their coastal neighbors – Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia – are Muslim. So they’d have to run that thru Kenya.

Oh, and they should flatly refuse to take in any Muslim Southerners.

  11. says

There’s not much point in saying what the South Sudanese Government SHOULD do. They will take investment from the very devil if they get the opportunity.
And you would be surprised how thick-skinned Muslims are when there is a buck to be made. Islamic banks are back in the South, after being expelled a few years ago. The GOSS is sucking up to China, which of course has no compunction when it comes to dealing with Islamic states; and the Islamic banks see the Chinese presence in SS as useful and potentially very lucrative. Both Muslims and Chinese LAUGH at the GOSS. Yes, I know about the Israel connection and it looks great, but while Kiir was off to Israel Machar was sucking up to the Muslim world (in the UAE.)
The GOSS will NEVER expel the Muslims from the South. All that can be hoped for is that the Southern PEOPLE, not government, will control them (“If they misbehave, we will beat them”) and that Christianity will maintain its popularity and strength.

  12. says

    From above
All that can be hoped for is that the Southern PEOPLE, not government, will control them (“If they misbehave, we will beat them”) and that Christianity will maintain its popularity and strength.

I’d be fine w/ that as well – in fact, that would be a more effective way of expelling Muslims from S Sudan. As it is, rule of law doesn’t really exist in these countries, so by normal African standards, it’s not likely to be condemned.

Trading w/ China is unavoidable, so I won’t read much into that. But if S Sudan trades w/ Israel, they’ll automatically trigger the Arab League boycott, which will be good. As it is, they are sitting on oil, but they certainly don’t need Saudi or other Arab expertise in this – they can use expertise from Israel or elsewhere in the West, or India and so on. The most expensive part of their operation would be getting that oil in tankers, but if they work out something w/ Kenya, they can have that solved, and even make things easier for Kenya (in terms of the latter’s energy needs).

The presense of Islamic banks in the South is however disturbing.

  13. says

The presense of Islamic banks in the South is however disturbing. However, such banks are unattractive – who wants to deposit money in a bank where there is no interest? And if it’s a question of borrowing, it’s true that Islamic banks don’t charge interest, but they do charge a flat fee – independent of principal or time borrowed – which any borrower has to pay.

  14. says

I met a man (Juba)in a new, unfinished bank. I started talking about recent SS banking history, raving about how unsuccessful Islamic banks were in England, how Islamic banking didn’t work etc. He asked if I was a banker…I said no, I just read…he was a Muslim who had studied Islamic banking! I didn’t ask if his new bank was Islamic!
I tell you, everywhere I went there were Muslims and the mosques were full!
