Dhimmitude in the West. On May 8, The Washington Post ran a hate-filled attack on the Catholic Church, the same ad that ran in the NY Times.
But unlike the New York Times, the Washington Post ran the
anti-Catholic ad with no changes; the Times made the atheists “soften”
the headline.The Freedom From Religion Foundation ran the ad in the New York Times urging people that it’s time to quit the Catholic Church. The NYT changed the headline to take away a bit of the edge (“It’s time to consider quitting the Catholic Church.”) The Washington Post ran the ad without any editorial changes made to it.
I submitted the same ad, but flipped the language, inserting Islam instead of the church. The Washington Post demanded numerous copy changes.
