Raymond, I have sometimes been asked variations of the following question by non-Jews in relation to anti-Semitism: "What is it that 'the Jews' did that warrants prejudice against them?"

People with a racial or theological axe to grind often try to find "logical" reasons motivating the bigots' actions against their victims; the victim must have just "done something" to cause others to have this or that bias against the group to which he belongs.

I have to admit that, as a Jew growing up in a rural part of California, I developed a complex about all of this in my early years. I could not understand how people, whom I thought should be rational and intelligent, could use insulting language, or even physically attack another human being just for a difference in race or religion.

Growing up, I realized the dynamics of power as one group seeks to oppress another: The victim doesn't have to do anything at all, his mere existence as "the other" is all that is necessary to set the perpetrator off.

The same applies to the dhimmi Christians in Egypt. These people's mere existence, their proud proclamation of faith in their G-d and in Christ, is what sets their Muslim neighnbors into a rage.

I am not a Christian; but in this instance, I would proudly stand with these people and proclaim myself their brother.

If we have learned anything from the past, it is the truth of Leviticus' words "Do not stand silently by your fellow's blood..." and "Do not follow a multitude to do evil..." NO human being can afford to remain silent in the face of this persecution of these people.

If you hold a rally in Australia, be assured that many Aussie jihadwatchers will be with you, so long as we have sufficient notice of the particulars. Urge them to give Copts from Egypt priority over all other 'asylum seekers' and 'refugees'. I would encourage Ethiopia and South Sudan to consider taking in lots of Copts - at the same time as requesting assistance from UNHCR and from free Western countries, for the immediate care and absorption process of same - because a large influx of Coptic Christians would help tip the demographic balance decisively, in those countries, against the increasingly-aggressive Mohammedan colonies already present. First, when heads of state and heads of governments travel to other countries, they all travel with armed bodyguards. These men and women are armed in accord with whatever treaties and executive agreements are in force between the two countries. When the Prime Minister of the UK visits the US, there are armed guards from the UK present. No state or federal gun permits are issued. They have the right to provide armed protection to the UK prime minister under international law and not explicitly under US law.

Second, all of these guards enjoy diplomatic immunity to the same extent as the foreign head of state or head of government. Even if a UK court took issue with an armed US Secret Service agent, that agent could not legally be arrested.

We had an incident a few years back when Putin was visiting Bush in Maine. A couple of Russians passed a phony US $100 bill while buying vodka (what else?) and the shopkeeper called the police. He later heard that nothing could be done because they were FSB agents with diplomatic immunity.
