In a sane world, when an enemy is at war with you, and our soldiers capture an enemy in the act of mass-murdering our men and women (both military and civilians), does any Western country cuff him and advise him of his Miranda rights? I think not. The only reason to spare his life past the time necessary to line him up against a wall would be to creatively interrogate him for potentially vital intel on other Muslims planning terrorism.

Major Nidal Malik Hasan did his deed in 2009 & here it is mid-2012. Then there's the fact that Maj. Nidal Hasan, is still drawing his full military paycheck; even though he was, shot & caught in the act of the cold blooded murder, of 14 innocent people. Where is the justice for the families for the American people?

The sad thing is, that even "if" we have the trial, and even "if" he is convicted, and even "if" he gets the death penalty, I don't see justice happening. Somehow, someway, someone, most likely Barack Hussain Obama (because he's really the one with the power), will step in and this guy will get off. I've felt for along time that the delay in this trial, was so that as Obama left office he could pardon Nidal Hasan.

If he is referred to as Major Hasan, then he is obviously still a member of the US Army. His beard is in violation of US military grooming standards, and should be removed.

You often hear it said that the defense should do *anything* that makes it easier for their client to get off, even if they know the issue is false, but this is just grotesque.

This is a perversion of the concept of a fair trial—where the defendant deserves competent representation, but *not* this sort of ridiculous game-playing.
