The Nigerian Christians have been, on the whole and up till now, remarkably patient, all things considered.

But their patience is running out, as the governing authorities are revealed either to be unable or unwilling to defend churches and sunday schools and people's homes from mass-murdering Jihad gangs; and in some parts of Nigeria, may well be **complicit**.

Now, remember, this is an *Anglican* Bishop (and probably a much more instructed and 'orthodox' anglican bishop than many within the western world..I'd *bet* he knows his bible and takes it seriously). He wouldn't be saying this unless he really felt that things were getting desperate.

At the end, the article says:

"We also want to put an alert that Christians in the South are ready to face them squarely because we heard that they have infiltrated this place, especially Enugu.

'We are prepared for war -- physically and spiritually against any form of attack on the church. Time has come for reprisal [sic: strictly speaking, it should be 'self-defence' - dda] because nobody can stop us from worshiping our God," the spiritual leader said.'

I hope he's looking up Orde Wingate, and the Haganah; and Augustine and Calvin on the theory of what constitutes a Just War. And perhaps he should have a look at the most thoughtful accounts of the Knights Hospitallers of St John, and the Templars. The Knights of St John had their great moment at Malta in 1565 where they held off a massive Ottoman Muslim fleet and thus held the Gate of the western Mediterranean. And for that matter, maybe he should be reading up on the Minutemen.

I think there *are* actually quite a few African Christians, especially their best and most thoughtful leaders, there in the zone where the merciless slave-taking Mohammedan Mob is grinding its way brutally forward into non-Muslim Africa, who have been thinking long and hard about these matters. Christianity in general has always opposed private vengeance and the vigilante individual or group, and has tended to prefer that public order be maintained by a secular authority that (though its individual members may be practising Christians) is distinct from the Church.

But when public order is manifestly breaking down, and one faces an openly mass-murderous entity such as Boko Haram (tacitly or even actively supported by many in the rest of the Ummah from which it emerges), what then are ordinary Christian people to do?

As far as I can see, the best hope for the sheer long-term survival of non-Muslims in Nigeria is to divide the majority non-Muslim south from the majority-Muslim north and create a new country; all non-Muslims from the north to join the south, all Muslims within the South to be required to go to the north; and then create a politically secular majority-Christian state of Southern Nigeria that defends itself grimly and unremittingly along its northern border. As with Sudan, at 'independence' in the mid-20th century the southern non-Muslim parts of Nigeria should never have been forced to be part of the same 'state' as the Muslim-dominated northern parts, in the first place.

OT a bit, but still on the subject of food, and the horrid and all-too-probable spectre of Mohammedan 'mice poison' jihad.

There are many people here who enjoy 'middle eastern' and 'asian' food: Indian cuisine, South-East Asian cuisine ('Malaysian' and 'Indonesian'), Persian, 'Lebanese', 'Turkish'.

I have a brilliant cookbook compiled by one Claudia Roden, a woman of Egyptian Jewish background who, like Bat Yeor, fled to the UK in the 1950s; it contains marvellous recipes from right across the region, from North Africa to Persia.

But all of us who have become Islamosavvy are growing more and more leery about the idea of eating any sort of food prepared by Mohammedans. We don't want halal.

Sooo - big shoutout to the *non-Muslims* from those same regions, now resident within 'the west'.

Paging business-minded Persian Jews, ex-Muslim now-Christian Persians, Zoroastrians/ Parsees, Christians from the dhimmi remnant minorities (Lebanese Maronites and Orthodox, Persian Christians from the 'old' Christian community, Assyrian/ Iraqi), Copts from Egypt, Hindus and Buddhists from Malaysia and Indonesia, non-Muslims of Indian background whether from India proper or from Bangladesh and Pakistan...please, do please set up **non-halal** restaurants, clearly signalled as owned and run and staffed by non-Muslims, so we who like your homelands' cuisine can indulge to our hearts' content and know that a/ we are not running the risk of being poisoned by hateful Mohammedans engaging in 'mice poison' jihad and b/ none of the money we pay for our meal will be siphoned off to jihad via halal certification fees and zakat.

Let's have a colourful chain of **Christian, Hindu and Sikh** Indian curry houses in the UK, for example.

Let's have Maronite-run kebab joints in Sydney and Melbourne.

Let's see some Copts running restaurants, selling *real* Egyptian food (I understand there are some wonderful traditional dishes).

Let's see Persian Zoroastrians, Persian Jews and Persian apostates from Islam setting up places where glorious traditional Persian food - and it *is*, to judge from some of the recipes in Claudia Roden's book - is showcased: **Islam-free**.

What's needed is something like the halal marker, something that can't be faked, and that discreetly indicates to the prospective Infidel customer: 'you are safe with us, we are all non-Muslims here'.
