The answer it that these mosques are under surveillance not because they're Moslem, but because they are suspected affiliates of, or supporters of, or recruiting centers for, or financial abettors of, terrorist organizations. It just so happens that these terrorist organizations are all Islamic.
If the Elks, the Oddfellows, or the Masons had a proven history of supporting or supplying terrorists, then I think no one would have any objections to some of their lodges being under surveillance.

Let me give you a quick lesson on reality:
If a crime under investigation was committed by a white man then ALL white men without alibis are POTENTIAL suspects
If the crime under investigation is regarding the Italian Mafia then all Italians are POTENTIAL suspects.
If a series of crimes in a particular neighborhood have been ALL perpetrated by red-haired, left-handed lesbians then ALL RED-HAIRED, LEFT-HANDED LESBIANS are potential suspects until it is found that they have alibis.
The difference between this system and the systems you are no doubt used to is that in OUR system to be a potential suspect is not the same as being the selected scapegoat of your authoritarian government.

Western civilisation has one thing in common with every civilisation that has gone before, that we believe we are a permanent fixture and robust enough to willingly sacrifice freedoms and values that countless others have died for.

Jihadwatch is a voice in the wind. Its followers are exceptional and do not share the enforced ignorance of our leaders and media.

But as long as high falutin Western values and principles demand that we defend the rights of those that are ideologically motivated to undermine and ultimately destroy our values and principles and way of life, it is fair and reasonable to suggest that democracy stands zero chance against the gathering tsunami of Islam.

Our leaders and the media may inflate minor victories like an unenforceable burqa or minaret ban, and an occasional oped may even dare to call Islamic terror Islamic terror, or an honour killing what it is, and these allow the unthinking and often uninformed masses to sleep soundly at night. Fools and politicians even argue the importance of holding the high moral ground, on the premise that otherwise 'we' become no better than 'them', though there is nothing moral about surrendering the very essence of Western civilisation in order to remain moral.

As the most advanced civilisation in history our choices are stark, uncompromising, and surprisingly simple; get off our knees on the high moral ground and set aside democratic niceties to effectively address the threats posed by the dysfunctional ideology of Islam, or stop the pretence and concede that there is no god but Allah and Mohamed is his messenger. Whatever our choice, and the decision appears to have been made at the highest levels of society and government, we should stop trumpeting about the virtues of complacency and cowardice.

Sorry, but facts are facts, and regardless of the fact that they are sometimes unpalatable.

The NYPD is not denigrating religion. Islam is denigrating religion by being a supremacist, misogynist, violent, intolerant, primitive, brutal, death-worshiping, totalitarian genocidal political belief system, while calling itself a "religion".

Criminals Against Crime, also known as CAIR...Allah founded it in order to eliminate the competition...

This is something that all non-Muslim military, police, emergency service personnel, diplomats, journalists, and politicians - especially politicians whose portfolio comprises immigration and foreign affairs - need to understand.

Someone needs to sue the Muslims to remove their categorization as a legal religion in the US, which would remove all the related tax benefits, allowing them to practice their "religion" in schools, dress differently than school uniform policies, etc.

The case would have to go to the Supreme Court. I once looked up Supreme Court & religion, and it seems there is a legal theory that a religion is not a legal religion if it has no beneficial public interest. Thus, I think you can make a case to deny Islam being defined as a legal US religion due to what it's Koran says, the practices of other Muslims in Egypt, etc that follow the same book, the violence, bombings, stoning of women, use of Madrassahs to educate children to plan Jihad, etc. if you show they are following the same teachings, have not created a reform movement with a REVISED Koran removing all the harmful provisions, and others who follow those teaching act more like a medieval violent cult, they could be denied US religious classification. Kinda like denying a political candidate eligibility because they are a Felon.

There would be a big trial like the Nuremberg trials, but I think it could be done (I am not an attorney). It surely would slow them down if similar cases went through several State courts first.
