What called a real Encylopedia on women and Islam is from the book THEY MUST BE STOPPED by brigitte Gabriel, the founder of actforamerica.com, for on pages 171.172 it exposes the truth which is "The shocking reality is that most Muslim men including those educated in the West, have no objection to honor killings and the degradation of women in their countries. Across the Muslim world, even in moderate Islamic countires, women's rights are almost nonexistent...Women in Islam are considered unclean, deemed inferior even to dirt."
Furthermore on pages 175,176 of the same book it also exopses that "Honor killing are executed by slitting the victims throat, hatcheting them, stabbing, burning them to death, decapitation, bullits to the head and chest,or by any other means imaginable." and "Honor killings have also come to the West thanks to the rise of Islamic immigration."

Never forget the polls that showed the vast majority of American Muslims reject the idea that ANY national Muslim group represents their interests; even with all national groups lumped together the "mandate" from real American Muslims is missing with a vengence!

The last time I looked the radical environmentalists have had a lot of trouble REFORMING any industry in large part because they can only attack rather than critique.

I think the best tactic at this time and place is to focus of damning with great praise the "leaders and scholars" with influence on the MSM; take them at their word and ring their names out in accord with blasphemy until the MUSLIMS start believing the "moderates'" big lie and turn on their own puppet-masters.

Interesting. Slightly off-topic, but I've been involved in a little altercation of my own. It's of no real importance, other to demonstrate how various people think about what information should be placed in encyclopaedia-like references.

In a bored moment, I opened up Answers.Com and answered a few questions. I was lazy - I didn't cite references like a real scholar. The next day, I received a recommendation from a moderator because of the way I answered this question.

The day after, a different moderator, who uses a Muslim ID, threatened to suspend my account because I had been "profane" in my reply to a different question. He also deleted my answer. This was the question.

Since all changes to answers are tracked, I am confident that nobody added anything to my reply before the moderator decided I had used "profanity".

I contacted the first moderator, who agreed I appeared to have a problem and forwarded my concerns to a more senior moderator. I have received no more threats or accusations, but the Muslim moderator has deleted several more of my answers. For a couple of questions, he has simply written alternative answers (standard proceure in Answers.Com when there is a dispute) - and he didn't cite references either. It seems he deletes when he doesn't actually know an alternative answer or when he suspects I am right.

He ignored the way I handled this question (do not read if real profanity offends you).

To return on-topic: I really would hope that a scholarly encyclopaedia set the bar higher than Answers.Com.

Today, for authors to get published in "mainstream" academic journals on Islam or Islam-related topics, their work must first pass several gate-keepers, practically all of them either devout pro-sharia Muslims or radical anti-Western Islamophilic non-Muslims. That is, your work is unlikely to get published unless it conforms to what these Islamic supremacists and their useful idiots desire.

It has been this way for some time. As Maxime Rodinson observed over forty years ago,

However,any islamic country that requires a woman to have a male legal guardian, or which does not offer equality in marriage, divorce, child custody, inheritance etc ... is doomed to failure. Women will always fight for their rights, and they will fight even harder for the rights of their children!

The reason for the triple post:

The first time I hit "publish", my computer cycled endlessly in limbo, not resolving into the normal finished publiched post; then after about 10 minutes, I get a "Gateway timeout" error message.

So I hit the back button, and saw my post again in draft form. I hit "publish" again. It began to do the same endless cycling again, so I copied the draft text, closed down my browser, re-opened, came back to JW and the "Leave a comment" portion of this article, and pasted in my comment and hit "publish".

Seconds later, I had my comment published along with two duplicates.

Unfortunately, this sort of verbiage works much better when you are discussing the "glass ceiling" or the "mommy track" or the "politics of beauty pageants" than when addressing "Honor Killings" and stonings.

Not that they ever will, of course—likely you'll just find the sort of idiocy that decrees that Pakistan is "more feminist" than the United States, since Pakistan elected Benazir Bhutto...

I doubt that they will welcome contributions from the four notable female apostates of the modern age: Nonie Darwish, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan and Taslima Nasreen.

It was Wafa Sultan who, in her book 'A God Who Hates', stated trenchantly, of the Islamic 'god' - "Allah hates women".
