Italy: Muslim harangues, insults Christian worshippers during Corpus Christi procession

Will the Islamophobia never end? “Italy: Muslim Accosts Christian Worshippers During Corpus Christi Procession,” by Cheradenine Zakalwe for Islam Versus Europe, July 5 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

During a procession to celebrate the festival of Corpus Christi in Italy, Christian worshippers were accosted by a 19-year-old Moroccan student who harangued and insulted them. Among other things, he shouted:

You are all a flock of sheep on the way to hell!

The worshippers made a complaint to the police and the Muslim, who lives in Porretta Terme, was charged with insulting people and denigrating the Christian religion.

Is that a crime?

It is very clear that Islam must be banned as a hazard to sound mental health. Muslims should be quarantined until all vestiges of it are gone from their minds.

Muslims will be in for a BIG shock when they try their final Jihad-push to take over the Earth for allah.
With 6’000’000’000 non-muslims to slaughter for allah’s PEACE, I’m one filthy infidel that is going down Fighting and will never bow to a misogynistic/pedophile loser that heard voices in his head as an Abused-Orphan full of hatred for everyone other than his SUPER-RACE followers that embraced mass-slaughters and pedophilia.

The real tragedy is that many muslims are too stupid to know how really stupid they are , thus….they become suicide-bombers to die for some dirty old/bearded/yellow toothed/sex-starved imam more than willing to send THEM to die for THEIR cause .

    KNOW shariah – NO peace
    NO shariah – KNOW peace

I say: don’t arrest him (the muslim) unless he threatens
PHYSICAL HARM DIRECTLY (that he himself will harm or he will arrange harm) to these Catholic marchers. This is free speech and any outdoor venue is open to verbal abuse by the very nature of it being in a public area.

Christianity has truth of Jesus as our “belt” and the “shield” of faith and the “breastplate” of righteousness to fend off verbal attacks of the evil one, Satan, who is using these muslim dupes to do his work.

  4. says

All people should have the right to freely speak their mind — I say this as a Christian woman, who believes God gave us freedom of speech, and no human should be allowed to take that right from another human. Having said that, I would be remiss if I didn’t indicate my irritation at the completely blatant hypocrisy displayed by this Muslim. I am sure he’d be foaming at the mouth, starkraving mad with murder in his heart if a Christian were to tell a group of Muslims they were on their way to hell.

Italy: Muslim harangues, insults Christian worshippers during Corpus Christi procession
    ……………………………..

Expect much, much more of this.

Under Sharia’ah law, Christians and other Infidels are not allowed to publicly “manifest” their religion.

Syrian Christians have canceled Easter parades for the past two years due to the increased threat from violent Muslims.

And now, the first signs of this are reaching the West…

You wrote: ‘He expressed his opinion, but he did not actually try to disrupt the Catholic procession.’

He disrupted the peace and sanctity of the event. He also committed a ‘breach of the peace’by yelling and shouting.

As an atheist, I have no reason to support any religious procession. However, if that’s what people want to do, then they have the right to do it – without being harangued by a two-bit thug from a so-called religion that calls for all religions to be defeated until ‘all religion is for Allah.’

  7. says

    @Buraq

It’s the same thing with the ‘Westboro Baptist Church’, they disrupt events with vitriolic, bigoted, hateful shouts. They should not be allowed to do that, just like the pedohammedan in the story above,

    I’m an atheist too, btw.

  8. says

You wrote that the Westboro Baptist Church should not be allowed to yell insults at people they don’t like. I agree! But the article was about a Muslim thug yelling insults at believers during a Corpus Christi Procession.

    That’s why I said what I said.

By the way, obliquely comparing the Westboro Baptist Church to Islam doesn’t work. Islam is a 1,400 year old military organization masquerading as a religion with the blood of 250 million victims on its hands, and counting, while the WBC is led by a whacko called Fred Phelps. Also, several of his children and dozens of his grandchildren appear to constitute the majority of the church members. Finally, the WBC has no official affiliation with mainstream Baptist organizations.

So, the WBC is a ‘customized’ religious outfit that has no connection with other Baptist churches and is negligible in effect and size compared to Islam.

We need to keep the focus on Islam. Fred’s self-styled whacko outfit is no real threat, Islam certainly is!

Kepha, and others: I see a time coming when our laws and the basis of our culture, which you want to prevail, are going to be jettisoned because of the refusal of our elected politicians to uphold them. We are drawing close to the time when our open Western countries become a battleground of wills. Not from our choice, but because it is either that or extinction by brutal means. We are going to be tested, and will be tempted to do things which are abhorrent to us. This is what happens when elites who “represent” the people go against the will of the people: and what did Confucius say? That the people have a responsibility to rise up against unjust governments.
That is what will happen. I can’t see any other option, as our leaders continue to wilfully betray us.

islam is chaffing at the bit to have another crusade visited upon them … and it won’t all end at the gates of Vienna this time either.

They need to be dealt with like the termites that they are.

One would think that after 911 AND ALL THE COORDINATED islamic WORLDWIDE ATTACKS THAT QUICKLY ENSUED, the world would wise up, but it would appear we are more stupid than in the days of the crusades.

Nevertheless, the over confident islamics have been lured into a false sense of security, via the good will of western civilization. That is a fatal miscalculation by islam. Time to send them back to mecca, with our foot in their ass.

  13. says

This is in Italy? Do you mean to tell me that there weren’t a few young Catholic men around who could have escorted mohammed to a nearby alley and beat the living shi’ite out of him? What has happened to my Italian paisans?

  14. says

    Robert: “Is that a crime?”

1st of course I do not like anyone disturbing the expression of spirituality of someone else, Muslims, Christina, Jews, whatsoever.
Having said this, unfortunately Italy is brilliant in cheating the rest of the world and expecially the other members of the European Union (to which is bound by treaties) on the subject of freedom of religion.
The Catholic religion was still the “Religion of the state” until 1984. Then in 1984 they changed and it became the “historical inheritance of the Italian people”. The Italian law contains wide grey areas deliberately designed to be compatible with the Counterreformation and the Council of Trent and to skip the examination of the Constitutional court on unconfortable subjects.
Do not use Italy as an example of a state of right or liberal-democratic society, it is not.

  15. says

Corpus Christi processions are a part of Italian culture. By mocking the procession this Moroccan, who the Italians ALLOWED to come into their country, was deliberately ridiculing his generous hosts… If it was up to me, he would have been on the first flight back to his home country – and never allowed to set foot in Italy again. After all – if that’s his hostility to the Italians now, who knows what he might feel like doing in the future?

Might as well add to this imam’s caricature description: fat pot bellied, foul smelling, fish dead-eyed, hollow black socket eyes (from reading too much Koran), irrationally raving, threatening death, women hating, spittle foamed mouth and beard, food stained pajama Medieval threads…. Odious primitive to the max, a true to form 7th century “allahu akbar” throwback Muslim… the REAL Islam.

I’d rather be an Islamo-savvy “filthy infidel” any day! Thank you.

  17. says

John, I agree with you. From what we’ve read here (not necessarily the whole story), this angry Muslim did not commit any crime. He expressed his opinion, but he did not actually try to disrupt the Catholic procession.

What this story really tells us is that ordinary Italians are sick of Muslim harassment, and have therefore over-reacted to a really minor incident. This is not fighting fairly – it is playing into enemy hands.

We should be saving our arsenal for issues that really matter, such as times when people actually break the law.

  18. says

I disagree! The way to keep Muslims in line is to crack down on even small offences, to the point of violating their rights. A good analogy was when Rudy first became mayor of NY, he cracked down on lesser crimes, like graffiti, urinating on the streets, etc, and that was a big part of what enabled him to clean things up. If people see that you don’t tolerate even small crimes, then even large crimes don’t end up being tolerated.

In the Muslim example, have you often heard of Sunnis in Iran, who are shabbily treated, insult Shias the way they do in Sunni majority countries like Saudi Arabia & Pakistan? Have you ever heard about Shia in countries like Saudi Arabia or Egypt create trouble (exception being recently in Dhahran or some place where they rejoiced the death of Saudi prince Nayef)? That’s b’cos they know what will happen to them if they tried. If this Moroccan guy lived in Iran, do you think he’d have insulted Shia Islam? Hell, no, he’d have known that he’d be lynched.

The reason he felt free to do that in Italy is that having seen how timid Western responses are to agressive Islamic behavior, he felt free to do to this crowd what he might have done to a similar Catholic procession in Morocco, where it would not have been prosecuted. It’s a good thing that he was charged w/ something. (The story doesn’t mention whether he was arrested or not, or whether it was just like a speeding ticket citation, so that should have been clear).

But yeah, blasphemy & free speech laws notwithstanding, I’m glad the Italians were willing to take action against him. Hopefully, the rest of Europe too wakes up and starts turining things around.

  19. says

“We should be saving our arsenal for issues that really matter, such as times when people actually break the law.”

We should be working on making it against the law for Muslims simply to be in the West at all. All else will continue to consume our resources, time, money… and lives.

  20. says

I’m with John Spielman and Diana Summers on this one, and I write as someone who sees a Corpus Christi procession as bordering on the idolatrous.

I’ve heard people tell me that I worship a “dead Jew on a stick”, derisively call my Messiah “Yoshkele”,that I’m a yokel, and scornfully tell me that I have no ancestors (i.e., something like a lower animal–the last in a country which actively practiced censorship at the time). Yet I am perfectly happy to leave vengeance to God (doing so may also allow the workings of divine mercy that might make the former enemy a friend and brother).

For it is clear that the Moroccan student mentioned in the article was one who, I am weeping to say this, is following a false prophet to Tophet. I insist that I have the right to believe and say that. People gave their life’s blood so I would have the right to say that, as well as to protect all the rough-and-tumble of free speech in the political arena.

If telling me I’m going to Hell because I believe Jesus truly died on the cross to cover my sins and similar beliefs were the only issues with Muslims, I could live with that; just as I have learned to live with “scientific” sorts who tell me I’m going to be swept into the dustbin of history because I believe in the “Opiate of the Masses”. But it’s when the Muslims and the Marxists insist that my point of view be denied a hearing that I fight back. And I’m one angry guy because I see those two haters of God and liberty joining hands.

One of the reasons I refuse to support Obama’s re-election is that I find him the most First Amendment-challenged president in my lifetime. The insistence that religious employers cover birth control and abortion for their employees, Elena Kagan’s support of “hate speech” laws, the knee-jerk inability to consider Terry Jones’ right under the First Amendment to burn the Qur’an (and the imam’s right under the same to call Jews kin of apes and pigs and Christian polytheists) all show that with this administration, the First Amendment is expendable when the prejudices of political client groups are at stake. This is dangerous and a bigger threat to our liberty than a bunch of kufi-wearing hairy thugs chanting “Allahu Akbar” (whom an armed citizenry can handle, if, God forbid, things reach that point) because this playing fast and loose with the First Amendment is being done by one sworn to uphold it.

Europe’s refusal to come to terms with freedom of speech (manifested by the Moroccan’s arrest) is one reason why it has fallen into the kind of hole that makes it impossible to distinguish a responsible, loyal, but disturbed citizen (parts of the EDL? the Danish People’s Party? Geert Wilders?) from an open threat. Perhaps these Eurocrats and Eurojurists have to throw people in jail for expressing an opinion only because they have no real faith to present as an answer.

Take heed, America, and be warned. We’ve got a government that would dearly like to make us all coddled conformists under the all-benevolent care of Our Nanny the State.

you wrote, to another poster who thought the Italians should not have arrested this guy,

    “I disagree!

“The way to keep Muslims in line is to crack down on even small offences, to the point of violating their rights.

“A good analogy was when Rudy first became mayor of NY, he cracked down on lesser crimes, like graffiti, urinating on the streets, etc, and that was a big part of what enabled him to clean things up.

“If people see that you don’t tolerate even small crimes, then even large crimes don’t end up being tolerated.”

Yes, given that what is going on is a Muslim being verbally aggressive toward Catholics who were (as the Muslim would see it) breaking the ‘rules for dhimmis’ by displaying the symbols of their faith in public where he and other Muslims could see them, I am with you.

Because with Muslims, the verbal aggression will – if not stepped on, hard, the moment it manifests – *always* progress to physical aggression, and fast.

This Muslim wasn’t just ‘exercising free speech’. I think he was going just as far as he though he could get away with (but in that, he miscalculated). He was attacking this procession, I would say, because he was trying to force Italian Catholics, on Italian soil, to behave as if they were in dar al Islam, where a dhimmi Christian community would *never* be allowed to hold a Corpus Christi procession. In Islamic countries, the cross is not allowed to be seen; and I’ll bet there were visible crosses in this procession. This Muslim was attacking verbally *only* because, at the moment, I would hazard the guess, he didn’t feel strong enough to get away with a physical assault.

IN the Netherlands, Dutch infidel funerals *have* been physically attacked by Muslim kids, quite violently (the Muslim parents know that juveniles receive lighter punishments than adults; they feel strong enough, in Holland, to send kids to throw things at a Dutch hearse, and hit and kick, but not yet strong enough for the *adult* Mohammedan mob to carry out a full-on lynching of a Dutch funeral cortege.) I would *bet* that some years ago, the Muslims just shouted things at the Dutch. Now they’ve stepped up the campaign to the next level: kids throwing things.

In France, we’ve had at least two instances (and probably more we haven’t heard about), not of Muslims shouting at a public religious procession in the street, but Muslim teenagers **barging into a church during the service and throwing rocks at the worshippers**. Again, go back five years, say, and I’d guess they were shouting insults in the street. They weren’t stopped, one must assume; so they felt strong enough to proceed to Level 2 – going right inside the church and throwing rocks.

That’s what comes next. And it doesn’t stop there, either.

If this thug had been allowed to continue screaming and shouting insults, then the *next* time the Catholics held a religious procession, there might have been a dozen Mohammedan thugs yelling insults, not one; and if they were still not stopped, then soon it wouldn’t just be shouts and curses, it would be a barrage of sh*t, rocks, bottles, molotov cocktails, and then it would be hands-on, with fists and iron bars and knives, and then, finally, as in Nigeria today, or Kenya, the throwing of grenades *into the church* and the setting off of the murder-‘martyr’ amidst the congregation, or the truck bomb next to the church.

Muslims *never* stop with words. If they encounter no resistance they progress from words to physical assault, rapidly escalating in intensity.

At present in Israel Muslims are throwing rocks *daily* at Jews, especially at drivers; they are throwing fire bombs and setting fires; they are carrying out ‘random’ stabbings, or getting caught constantly at checkpoints with knives up their sleeves that they were intending to use in stabbings of Jews on the street; an Arab Muslim in Jerusalem sneaked up on an unarmed haredi gentleman and hit him over the head with an axe (the guy’s very solid old-fashioned black hat saved his life).

The Israelis let things slide, they failed to recognise the initial signs of what I call ‘street jihad’, and now they have got a huge problem, getting rapidly worse. And the Europeans are in the same fix. And as we saw from Dearborn, it’s happening in the USA, too.

  22. says

“Muslims are guests in Italy… the Italian people should kick them all out.”

I totally agree, and not just Italian people, but also German, French, Dutch, Dane, Swiss, Swede, English, Spanish, Portuguese, all the People who have had their native lands settled by Muslims incapable of showing RESPECT to the local people and culture, including their religious or historical celebrations and processions.

If the Islam/Mohammad/allah worshippers want reciprocal ‘respect’ they have to act in ways that are respectful to others. If Muslims harangue, attack, or in any way disrupt such celebrations (as also happened in UK), or otherwise dis-respect the native peoples and cultures, meaning Muslims are insulting them overtly, they then rightfully earn the contempt of the people and should be treated accordingly.

Arrests and fines for those with an Islamic ‘supremacist’ mindset are mandatory to teach them a lesson for their contempt and insulting disrespect for local cultural events and religious beliefs. Because this is a highly charged atmosphere when Moslems attack other people’s beliefs, and I say this as an Agnostic, they should be treated with the same heavy handed manner as one would treat Nazis or Klan members who advocate violence against others. Read the Koran. Islam is self-condemned as a violent, cruel and supremacist ideology that is systematically DISRESPECTFUL of other peoples beliefs and religions. Therefore, it is only reasonable, logical conclusion, that whenever Muslims act in any disrespectful manner towards others’ beliefs, cultural celebrations, parades, and especially religious activities, they MUST BE CAST OUT. First they will be arrested and fined if they are post-immigation citizens. But if immigrants, then they are deported to their country of origin with their entire extended family, with no right of return. As ‘guests’ in their adopted countries, their intolerant and aggressive behaviors are not to be tolerated, ever.

Our tolerance of other people’s beliefs ONLY extend to those tolerant of ours, otherwise they go.

  23. says

“I see a time coming when our laws and the basis of our culture, which you want to prevail, are going to be jettisoned because of the refusal of our elected politicians to uphold them”

Exactly. We have laws that protect our social freedoms, and that is a large part of our cultural identity. But some laws are confused in their intent and application. One such law especially confusing, because it is so ill defined, is so-called “Hate-speech laws”. It makes no sense and should be jettisoned.

It is a far better approach to legislate “Anti-tolerance” laws, because they can be clearly defined as to what anti-tolerance represents. Whereas “hate speech” is subjectively nebulous (what really represents “hate”?), tolerance or intolerance are clearly definable. If someone attacks another because they speak differently, think differently, act differently, dress differently, worship differently, have different hair styles, or eat differently, then that attack is “intolerance”. Tolerance means that you let the other person express themselves as they choose, provided their expression is not injurious to others. Moslems have no such concept. For them, it is either their god Alla’s way, or no way. So they start from this adversarial position a priori, which is their intolerant self-perceived ‘supremacy’ over others. Then they leverage our good-will and tolerance to their advantage by making endless demands that we conform to their absolutes, such as defined by their Koran, Hadiths, Sunas, and mullahs, including all their restrictions on dress, on women, on eating habits, etc. But this is an impossible situation, one that is both confrontational and socially disruptive. So why would anyone comply to their demands?

They, the Moslems who live with us, have to be told that this is unacceptable behavior in the West, and must be discouraged in no uncertain terms that their bigotry against all ‘others’ will not be tolerated. In fact, ‘We the People’ will be heavy handed in stopping them from this aggressive social behavior (which means we have to jettison the current crew of officials, and elect better representatives of the people). So either they adapt to our ways, or they are not only unwelcome, but kicked out of our Western world. There is no reason our good-will and tolerance should be abused by Muslims living here. The first step in this process is to educate the people, both Muslims and non-Muslims, that any intolerance of this sort will NOT be tolerated, reciprocally. The second step is to pass legislation that prohibits such intolerant actions, and proscribes equitable punishment for those who transgress. This is universal and goes both ways, so it is an equitable law. Neither Moslems, nor non-Moslems (mere formality, as this rarely happens), may abuse the ‘tolerance of others’ with their intolerance. It is to be against the law.

Historically, this has been largely a one-way street, where whole cultures had been eradicated over the centuries by Moslem supremacists. But these are not Medieval times with their primitive notions of “my god is better than your god”. We today in the 21st century live by principles of equality and protected personal rights, such as freedom of speech, freedom of belief, freedom of personal expression, and other freedoms not injurious to others. So our laws must be founded upon those equitable and universal principles, and Moslems living in our Western societies must be made to understand and abide by those laws and principles, or else they are cast out. Italy, as the above short article illustrates, at least got that right and arrested the culprit who verbally abused a religious procession. It was not “hate speech” that was the issue, hateful that it was, but the “intolerance” he expressed that condemned this Muslim’s behaviors. Our laws should be very clear on this issue of tolerance vs. intolerance, and enforced accordingly.

If Moslems choose to live in our Western world, they must be made to understand our cultural norms, the principles that guide our social contract, respect our tolerance, and obey our laws. And they must integrate. If they have a problem with this, then they should be made to leave. And if our elected government officials don’t understand this, they will be replaced.

  24. says

While I would agree, to some extent, that the Bill of Rights is not a suicide pact, I do not believe we have to jettison free speech to avoid extinction by other means. Quite the contrary, our habit of surrendering more and more of our liberty to Leviathan (begun in the early-mid 20th century) has permitted our political class to see things like free speech and free exercise of religion as things that can be sacrificed to the desires of their political clients. Hate speech laws to satisfy the LGBT crowd and the abortion/birth control mandate to satisfy the Ms. Fluke’s and other so-called “free spirits” are cases in point. Official Europe’s caving to Islamic demands–except when they get just a tad too egregious, as in this Italian example–are another. All of these tendencies are being exploited by Islam, which has mastered the oh-so-sensitive-minority game.

Another sacrifice we make is the loss of frankness and honesty. The manufactured right to not be offended has made us a society of dissimulators and timid conformists. We all know that our gummints are succumbing more and more to the temptation to police even the consciences of the citizens.

Now, there are indeed limits. You can’t yell “Fire!” in a crowded theater, and perhaps localities can limit public nuisances. Ahmed’s freedom to murder his mortad brother (as his religion demands) conflicts with Ali’s freedom to exit Islam for Christianity. As for now, Reynolds and his ilk may not practice polugamy, regardless of what the original revelation to Joseph Smith said (and perhaps it would’ve been more honest for the Supreme Court to have said with Story at the beginning of the 19th century and Brewer at the end that we’re a Christian nation, not in having a favored denomination or set thereof, but in that our laws presuppose Christianity). But we need to be extremely careful about such limits. What Confucius said is that a harsh government is worse than a tiger. Peoples can be destroyed by the cruelties and follies of their own governments as easily (or even more easily) than by foreign invasion.

I had a few verbal run-ins with Phelps and his followers back in the 1980s when he would show up in San Francisco’s Castro District to scream at passers-by that they were all going to die of AIDS. Unpleasant stuff.

But as much as I hate Phelps’ ugly outfit”which used to disrupt the funerals of AIDS victims and has now moved on to do the same to military personnel”even he has never called for violence, nor has he or any of his followers ever been violent.

As you note, Phelps”odious as he is”is no real threat.

Yet another sign that even the very worst aspects of the West are *nothing* compared to Islam.

I believe that if God is gracious to our land, our land will vomit out the PeeCee nonsense and see a major reform in its legal/judicial culture long before anyone has to give up the Bill of Rights.
