What I want to know is when does the Hebrew month of Abib begin, because I lost a dear one on the 15th of that month. I am not a Jew, but spiritually we are Semites.

This article, from the Bangkok Post, lists the names of the eight people who were hurt by the car-bomb, which was let off next to a computer shop as police were passing by.

They were all taken to Sungai Kolok hospital...".

Since the AP article tells us one person was killed, we must assume that one of these eight people died later in hospital.

Five of the names sound like they are names of non-Muslims; two - 'Ameera' and 'Rusman' sound Islamic and a third - 'Sama-air Waema' might be Muslim as well.

So, although these southern provinces are predominantly Muslim, it seems that the victims of Jihad are mostly Buddhist, with occasional Muslims as 'collateral damage' as seems to have happened here (or else being targeted, when specifically targeted, for being insufficiently Islamic by, for example, dealing or cooperating with the non-Muslim Thai authorities).

Three people - two of whom are named, and the names do not sound Muslim, unless I am greatly mistaken - were murdered by the jihadists in order to obtain the pickup truck that was used as the car bomb, and the licence plates (from a different vehicle) that were affixed to it.

So in order to *set up* this attack, before they even got as far as letting off the bomb, the jihadists murdered three people and carried out two major thefts.

And - as not in the usual western media accounts of such attacks - we have the name of the local Jihad gang that is probably responsible, and the names of a few Gang members.

One must hope that during Ramadan the Thai army and police force are not observing the same foolish restrictions as the Filipinos have imposed on themselves: to quote from the concluding paragraphs of the Associated Press article Mr Spencer reproduced for us, "The Philippine military traditionally orders troops to refrain from offensives that could disrupt Ramadan in the southern regions where minority Muslims live..". (One wonders whether Filipino Muslim jihad gangs will return the favour: probably not).

Frankly, *I* think that every majority-Infidel country foolish enough or unlucky enough to have a Mohammedan colony of any appreciable size within its borders, and/or unlucky enough to have Mohammedan neighbours, should be aggressively beefing up its border patrols and its police presence in and around its Mohammedan-inhabited areas, during Ramadan. And Infidel police presence in the vicinity of mosques and madrasas should be visibly larger on Fridays in particular. Fridays are always favourite days for Mohammedan violence at every level from the individual attack to the lynch mob/ riot, especially in the evenings after the Friday 'prayers' aka Hate Session; they are even worse during Ramadan. No harm in letting the Mohammedans within the lands of the infidels know, though not in so many words, that if they try anything, anything at all, the Infidel Law Enforcement will come down on them like a ton of bricks.

Meanwhile, at least one Muslim pretends not to know this, and engages in some heavy-duty Damage Control:

"Waedueramae Mamingji, chairman of the Pattani Provincial Islamic Committee, yesterday castigated those who masterminded the car bomb attack.

"It is an unacceptable action," Mr Waedueramae said. "Allah will punish them and bring them to disgrace. They must be brought to justice soon."

'He wondered why those who planted the bomb chose the Ramadan fasting festival to carry out their attack as it is the Muslim holy period that requires Muslims to do good things for Allah, themselves and others.

('To do good things for Allah, themselves and others'. Ah yes, but how does Islam define 'good'? 'Good' = Good For islam and Muslims, or, Anything That Makes Islam, that is, the Ummah, the Mohammedan Mob, Stronger. The Fast Jihadists in Southern Thailand think it a good thing, Islamically, to terrorise and weaken the Buddhists around them, by shooting them, or blowing them up, and causing them to leave the province, so that it becomes steadily more and more Islamic. Mr Waedueramae, on the other, perhaps worries that if the Fast Jihadists move *too* fast, and strike *too* hard, they may 'blow the gaffe' and make the kuffar just that little bit too angry, and too aware, and provoke a strong counter-attack that will kill a *lot* of Muslims and perhaps even cause a net loss of all that has been gained so far.- dda)
Mr Waedueramae also called on the masterminds to stop such actions in the deep South and he wanted to see suspected insurgents join the process of reconciliation that is building within the nation."

In other words: try switching to Slow Jihad - demographic swamping and Sharia Creep - for a change, and be patient.

It seems likely to me that Waedueramanae does not think Muslims within Thailand are *quite* strong enough to engage in open warfare, whereas those who are waging the Jihad *do* think their strength sufficient.

And as for the 'peace process', or 'the process of reconciliation'...they need to study up on Hudna, and the Treaty of Hudaybiyya. Which was discussed by Hamza Yousef in the same piece I have just cited: "

Beware, O Thai non-Muslims. Whatever 'agreements' you make with the Muslims, in the South or anywhere else, will in the end turn out to be a snare and a delusion for you, the non-Muslim party. Muslims are theologically forbidden to make any *permanent* agreement with non-Muslims. The 'peace process' in the South of Thailand is as futile as the 'peace process' between the Jews of Israel and the local Arab Muslims, or the 'peace process' between the Catholic Filipinos and the Muslims of Mindanao and parts adjacent, or the 'peace process' between Hindu Indians and local Muslims and Muslim Pakistan, over Kashmir.

The Thai non-Muslims are trying to win Muslim hearts and minds, just as assiduously as Westerners are.

Look at this article, and remember the Fort Hood shooting in the USA, and all those occasions when Afghan Muslim soldiers and policemen have bushwhacked those who were supposed to be their 'colleagues' or their 'mentors' or their 'trainers', Best Friends Forever, and weep.

Looks like the Thai military just hasn't read or understood Surah 48: 29; or any of the other multiple Quran verses and Hadith pronouncements - and passages in the Sira, too - that mandate permanent Muslim enmity toward non-Muslims, and teach that 'friendship' from a Muslim toward a non-Muslim is permissible only as a temporary expedient if the Muslim is weak and the non-Muslim strong, or if the Muslim deems that the non-Muslim may be ripe for da'wa.

Meanwhile in Toronto ,Canada , two Churches fire-bombed by alleged muslims (since CAIR alleges all attacks on mosques are by christians) and CAIr stay quiet and yet posts support for the Sikh school that was a victim of spray paint damage to it from RACISM accorind to CAIR.

When muslims fire-bombed a jewish school and Buhdist temple there was little outcry from CAIR or muslims to denounce it, thus, the silence infers their tacit approval to wage terrorism in canada on non-muslims .
