Robert Spencer: Muslims vs. Archaeology

Following Mo/allah, Muslims become brain dead and would not understand any reason, logic or their own pre-Islamic heritage as evidenced by actions of Muslims in Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Mali, etc, etc,. They call the period before Islam as jahiliyya(ignorance. But the fact is jahiliyya is brought upon the land once Islam comes there. Since they become brain dead, they can't recogize this - ignorance is bliss!!

No doubt Muslims are in jahiliyya and will remain there as long as they follow Islam.

Crazed, sociopathic, cultist. In a word, islamists.

Unfortunately, Islam appears to be a black hole for knowledge, culture, and any form of human expression.

A Muslim country can limp along for years, or centuries, retaining its cultural past. An example is Iraq, which up to and continuing through the regime of Saddam Hussein, maintained a museum of genuine archaeological treasures. But, when George Bush, in his insulated wisdom, overthrew Hussein and the entire social structure of control in Iraq, the criminals and Salafists had free rein to destroy Iraq's historical treasures.

This appears to be the general pattern in Muslim countries. An autocratic ruler can prevent the total destruction of culture for awhile, but eventually an Islamic government or uprising will occur, and the cultural oasis is lost forever.

The best thing the US government can do to prevent such carnage is to stay out of the affairs of Muslim countries. It would have been better to leave Afghanistan alone, even after the invasion by Russia, and perhaps extend the lifetime of the Soviet Union for a few years. As it was, the US allied itself with Pakistan, even then a hotbed of fanaticism and a thorough dictatorship, and enabled the Muslim fanatics to gain power.

I'm not saying that Reagan was evil or stupid in not foreseeing the consequences of supporting the Afghan war against Russian occupation. But, we now have the lessons of very recent history, and they say loud and clear:

leave Muslim countries alone.

Don't support democratic governments or autocrats. Let them sort out their own affairs. Don't give them aid. Let them suffer the consequences of their lack of property rights and their adherence to Sharia financing.

Until I read this article, Timbuktu was nothing more to me than one of the most wonderfully exotic names in the world. Now it is another depressing reminder of the darkness spreading across the globe.

Since we do not know if this Mohammed character ever existed, perhaps the story of him on his death bed saying no burial sites should be sacred (a reasonable thought)was scribbled down because no shrine was built for him because there wasn't a him. Only later, when the conquering Arabs needed a religion to create a single identity among the hundreds of various cultures now in their grasping hands(obviously that attempt at uniting hasn't worked until now), they had to write that bit about no worshiping grave sites. No copy of the Koran exists from this Mohammed's time, so editing a later, invented history of a cult leader was not only easy to create, it was easy to edit as needs arose. Since pre-Islamic cultures did worship at supposedly holy men's graves, there being no grave for this Mohammed to worship at could have been an embarrassment; hence they needed this bit about NO worship at graves. This codicil caused the Sunnis in Iraq to bomb Shiite Mosques dedicated to Shiite "saints". By the way, I write about the addictive nature of belief; and that addiction's effect on history. Muslims extremists are addicted to fear...the fear of eternal punishment(never mind they do not understand the meaning of Eternity, or gravity); and it is the Koran which is source of the addicting drug, adrenaline.

Islam wants all examples of pre- and post-Islamic Jahiliyya destroyed. Those remind people they can stray from the Right Path. They are considered beacons of immorality, plain and simple.

Unlike poor Othman bin Yusuf (a son of Saladin), who failed to complete the dismantling of Menkaure's pyramid in the 12th c., today's creepy Islamists have technology to actually do it.

There's an interesting analogy here between the Islamic world and another totalitarian society, communist Russia.
In Islamia, the trappings of the past -- the ruins, the artworks, the writings -- are a constant temptation to the faithful, a reminder that their ancestors had different beliefs and did things in a different way, and in a way that was not necessarily worse than Islam. The existing pre-Islamic artifacts and writings show that a high culture and a civilized way of life can be obtained without Islam. Thus they must be destroyed or left to crumble and decay.
Similarly, following WW2, Stalin took action against all those who had been in the West, and who had seen that Westerners enjoyed a better way of life, and that the Soviet propaganda about the horrors endured by Western workers was a pack of lies. Virtually all of the soldiers who had been taken prisoner by the Germans were sent straight to the Gulag once released brom the Germans. Likewise, the troops who had taken part in the conquest of Poland, eastern Germany, Hungary, etc, were all sent to the Gulag once they were back in Russia. They had seen the West, and they could tell others about it, so they had to be suppressed.

One thing is sure, everything Islam does has a purpose. Unlike the U.S. that hasn't a clue what is going on.

In all such discussions there is never even a slight mention of the wanton destruction of Hindu places of worship and ancient Indian architecture by the muslim marauders from Turkey, Mangolia,Persia(now Iran),Afganistan who invaded India and ruled it for almost 400 years from 1310 A.D. to 1730 A.D.( i.e. when the British defaeted them and took over the reigns )!
The fanatic Moslem marauders with names Mahammed-bin-Tughlak, Mohhamed Gaznavi, Aurangzeb, Taimur-lang and so on ( the list is too long to mention here !) ordered their barbaric soldiers not only to destroy Hindu idols of worship in the temples but also any figurine in the beautiful ancient sculptures and architecture in India which was 2000 years old heritage of peaceful Hindus in India. It goes without saying those Muslims raped Hindu women and looted their temples of precious gold ornaments on those idols of wordhip !
The above facts have been mentioned in the history of India written by Indians as well as western historians. The destruction of Bamian Budha statues in Afganistan and the recent Muslim relics in Timbaktu in Mali are just the , as they say , tip of the iceberg of centuries old such continuous massive destruction in India !
Nobody knows how much of such Hindu relics from the archeological sites of Mohejo-daro in Islamic Pakistan have been systematically destroted since the formation of the fundamental Islamic state of Pakistan in 1947 !
All said and done Roberts deserves praise for bringing out in public such Moslem atrocities in today's world. I hope his dedicated and talented investigators goes through the "Mughal History of India " to know the innumerable holocasts committed by Islamists in the past !

A slight clrification , i.e. whenever such investigations of hundreds of years of wanton archeological destruction in India by Moslems is undertaken please do not refer to the Congress-government-paid historians particularly those belonging to the Jawaharlal Nehru University ! Those so called "secular" ( but communis-at-heart ) historians have purposely avoided mentioning those Moslem atrocities in line with the Nehru's tradition of supporting Moslems and hammering Hindus ! Robert beware of those JNU's "commie" historians !
