Sharia in action: "It is the order of Allah that she be executed" -- Taliban murders "adulteress" near Kabul

Doubtless Imam Rauf is jetting over to Kabul at this very moment to explain to the Taliban that they are getting benign and humanitarian Sharia all wrong, wrong, wrong. (Reuters) - A man Afghan officials say is a member of the Taliban shot dead a woman accused of adultery in front of a crowd near Kabul, a video obtained by Reuters showed, a sign that the austere Islamist group dictates law even near the Afghan capital.
In the three-minute video, a turban-clad man approaches a woman kneeling in the dirt and shoots her five times at close range with an automatic rifle, to cheers of jubilation from the 150 or so men watching in a village in Parwan province.

"Allah warns us not to get close to adultery because it's the wrong way," another man says as the shooter gets closer to the woman. "It is the order of Allah that she be executed".

Provincial Governor Basir Salangi said the video, obtained on Saturday, was shot a week ago in the village of Qimchok in Shinwari district, about an hour's drive from Kabul.

Such rare public punishment was a painful reminder to Afghan authorities of the Taliban's 1996-2001 period in power, and it raised concern about the treatment of Afghan women 11 years into the NATO-led war against Taliban insurgents.

"When I saw this video, I closed my eyes ... The woman was not guilty; the Taliban are guilty," Salangi told Reuters.

When the unnamed woman, most of her body tightly wrapped in a shawl, fell sideways after being shot several times in the head, the spectators chanted: "Long live the Afghan mujahideen! (Islamist fighters)", a name the Taliban use for themselves....

well, folks should flee from sexual immorality, according to the Apostle Paul (1Cor 6:18)

and the Prophet and teacher, Jesus, as he explained Moses, said: "I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Mt. 5: 28

but the Allah god (as imagined) has changed all that. now injustice and murder are allowed, it seems, mostly as regards females. the Allah god (as imagined) spoke to those men, or;they were informed, supposedly by what they had been taught and heard from the brothers, since the Allah god (as formulated) has no voice except that of Muhammad (as contrived) and everyone agrees - with no thought of other realities ... like mercy - could come from his heart from which comes evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander...." My question is: where was the pious, sex-crazed, muslim male in all of this - does it not take two to be involved in adultery? Or was this poor Muslimah simply "uncovered meat" offered up to another Muslim male who takes no responsibility for his perverse, Prophet sanctioned, sexual appetites? Disgusting!

From the article:

And the last ten years, the Western blood and treasure, the lives ruined, all of it, has been for NOTHING.

I'm sure she had it coming. After all Muslim men are such fragile little rascals that a woman like that puts their souls in tremendous danger of upsetting Allah, don't you know. Islam is the religion of peace, especially when you have two men who want the same women. The solution seemed a bit extreme. I think I'll tell my wife about this, surely that will shape her up. Especially since I'll be doing my own laundry, cooking and sleeping on the couch. If this didn't involve the death of a human being (one made in the image of God) it would be ridiculous. It appears that the Taliban is back. What a sad commentary on state of affairs in a country that we just recently gave a new and improved status. Is there anyone in Washington that knows what the heck is going on?

"Cheers of jubilation"—here in the civilized West, this sort of thing is usually reserved for the safe return of service people, for home runs or for goals scored.

In Dar-al-Islam, of course, it's for summary executions.

And think how much happier they would have been if they had been able to stone this poor woman to death! Oh, well—they likely will be soon.

They are both cowed by the Taliban, and—even worse—frequently in general sympathy with them, as well.
