The factual assertion is that Saudi men have no self control. The remedy of covering only the Saudi women is incomplete. Instead, ban the Saudi men from getting anywhere near any women, until they can demonstrate self-control -- or promise to control themselves.

The IOC have sent people home for less. They cannot make the saudi's obey the rules of the games, but they can send home those that won't do as everyone else does.
Its time people stopped watching the games. Only a total bycott by the public will get the message across.

I can understand the comments done in this forum , but the fact that a Saudi Women competing under the eyes of hundreds of millions of spectators from all over the world is a big blow to the Fundamentalist Saudi System which controls everything in Saudi Arabia ...these women are being bashed harassed in nearly every Saudi forum on the internet ...I believe that words of support and encouragement would be a better choice, I am confident that you will see that the appearance of these two Saudi Women at the London Olympics will shake up the Saudi Society and encourage Saudi Women to rebel against the oppression they are facing day to day in there society....

I seriously doubt that the head gear is secured well enough to servive some Olympic events. That said, the next thing Islam will demand will be to stop the compation while the Muslim gathers her head gear and puts it back on.

There are so many *stupid, idiotic* things about this, it beggars belief.

First: why the *hell* are the IOC lobbying the Saudis to allow women 'athletes' (I use the term reservedly) to compete ? Who gives a damn whether they do or don't ? It's not like they've got a hope in hell of winning anything anyway.

Second: The IOC were told in *advance* this Wojdan Ali Seraj Abdulrahim Shaherkani (what a mouthful) wouldn't compete *unless* she could wear her slave rag. *That* was the point to say, ''in that case, if you aren't prepared to follow the rules of the sport, don't bother coming.''

But no: they allow her to come, accompanied by her owner, *then* say, she can't compete in a slave rag.

*Now*, they capitulate, and say she'll be allowed to compete, in a 'specially designed' slave rag. Good Grief. She's not even qualified, as she doesn't have a black belt.

Dumbledoresarmy hopes she'll be flattened - I heartily concur, and am absolutely certain she will be. You've only got to look at that doughy, moustachioed face to see she's done no serious training.

However, when she is duly flattened, you can also bet the Saudis will raise the roof, whining and whinging, and probably demand a rematch, demanding her *flattener* wear a slave rag, or be in some way handicapped. At which point I hope the entire judo contingent walks off the floor, lodges myriad complaints, and raises a unholy *stink.*

*Totally* disagree. Just because the IOC behaves like cowardly, shameful fools, is no reason to turn our backs on hundreds of young, hardworking, determined athletes, many of whom have made huge sacrifices in order to try for an Olympian medal. I watched our male gymnastics team get a Bronze after 100 years, and was bowled over by the hardwork and dedication shown by these young men. Ditto the women's team.

To see young, dedicated athletes from *civilised* countries, pitting themselves against each other, in a spirit of ''may the best man win'' is uplifting and makes me proud. No way that is going to be spoiled by a bunch of cowardly dhimmi IOC officials, or whiny, pathetic, would be islamic supremacists. Screw 'em.
