That's the problem with Islam, if you criticize it by telling lies about it, you're a dead man walking and if you tell the truth about it, you're a dead man walking. In other words, it's a conundrum and ultimately an embarrassment to its leaders and followers. It is the only religion that is built on a complete pack of lies and Imams, Sheiks and Muslim leaders end up running scared when anyone starts doing the detective work on it.

As for female slaves this practice pre-dates Islam’s advent in the region but the religion later laid out rules on this issue in an attempt to abolish slavery. It allowed Muslims to have sexual relations with slave women who had been held captives in just and legitimate wars. A woman was freed if she became pregnant and her child would be born free.

Dr Abdullah al-Naggar, an al-Azhar scholar and professor in Islamic fiqh says:

Islam is fair game for criticism for thousands of reasons, least of all a television series celebrating the depravity of islam's early perverts created especially for the islamic holiday season, a pagan celebration of pure evil. Filth and malevolence abound in islam; the savages will love every moment of violence, degradation, cruelty, and corruption depicted in the program and Western apologists would declare that it's not real islam, so why worry?

A few naked sex slaves brutalized by the prophet's companions won't harm islam's stellar reputation, certainly not in SA, and I doubt if the program will be broadcast outside of the islamic netherworld.

To be fair to the old Saudi Coot, he does carry on the tradition of defending Islam no matter what ugly warts it has. To his minds eye, the anti-humanitarian injunctions within Islam are virtues. I don't quite understand how exposing these people means they will be discussed by every depraved person. And just who is depraved? Is it those who would slander these people? Is it those who would criticize them? Is slander the same as criticism? Is asking legitimate questions about historicity, society, religion criticism or slander?
This is why I have come not to believe what moslems say. There is just too large a gap between their words and actions. It does not mean, however, that I do not read what they print or take it seriously.
