MTA Violated Rights of Pro-Israel Group, Judge Says

WE NEED YOUR HELP
WE MUST RUN THESE ADS

AFDI First Amendment Victory: Pro-Israel Ads Must Run Attacking Jihad Right Side News

MTA Crimped Free Speech, Judge Rules Wall Street Journal

New York bus system can't bar pro-Israel, ‘defeat Jihad’ ads Reuters

We won the free speech battle, but the war isn’t even close to over. Your contribution will get these ads up in New York and California. It is critical in the war of ideas. The enemedia is at war with the truth. Help us fight in the information battle-space.

On Friday, we won a huge victory for the freedom of speech. A Federal Judge ruled that New York’s Metropolitan Transit Authority had violated our First Amendment rights by not allowing us to run our pro-Israel ad.

Now we can run our pro-freedom, pro-Israel, anti-jihad ads all over the country – if only we have the resources to do so.

All over the country, we can tell the simple truth that the media fears to tell: “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Defeat jihad. Support Israel.”

The First Amendment still exists, even in this age of Obama, and Muslims aren’t a protected class in the U.S. – at least not yet.

This is great news. But these ads aren’t cheap. We are running these ads in New York, California, DC and NY's Metro-North. The least expensive run for ads in the New York City subway system is $10,000.

Islamic supremacists and Hamas front groups, funded by unsavory, shadowy figures overseas, are running anti-Israel hate ads all over the country. We intend to match them city for city. The court ruling shows that we have just as much right to tell the truth as they do to spread their lies, and we intend to do it.

We’re also continuing our lawsuit against Detroit’s SMART transit system for refusing to run our ads offering help to Muslims who want to leave Islam but are threatened for doing so: we already won that case, but Detroit’s dhimmi authorities still won’t put our ads up.

Everywhere they restrict our First Amendment rights, we will sue. Everywhere. And everywhere we win – and we will continue to win – we will put up our ads in defense of truth, freedom and human rights.

But the costs continue to mount. We do so much with so little. We are not backed by wealthy foundations or philanthropists, and do not have a massive donor base. We depend solely on you: on individuals who value the freedom of the individual and the dignity of the human person. Without your support, we would not have been able to get this far. Now that we have won the battle for free speech, please help us follow
through and place as many ads as we can.

Please donate via Paypal to writeatlas@aol.com or tax-deductible to director@jihadwatch.org. We don’t get salaries and we don’t have a staff. Your contribution will go entirely to our work for freedom. And for that, may God bless you.

Syria’s conflict, increasingly characterized as a Muslim sectarian war, is now also threatening to engulf the country’s estimated 2 million Christians.

As long as political correctness is the fashion, there can be no freedom of speech.

Lord Bless your Enterprise.

According to the Gospels, is it possible to be honored by Jesus and other Gospel figures and be a weapon-carrying soldier or law enforcement officer, at the same time? Do the Gospels approve of soldiers and officers of the State? Do the Gospels condemn the military? If not, may individual Christians serve in law enforcement and the military? Were individual members of the early Jesus movement, which soon evolved into the church, permitted to carry swords for self-defense? Do the Gospels encourage the church as an institution to form militias and armies to wage war against its enemies or stamp out heresies?

Because I believe in the importance of this message, my small contribution has been sent to Pamela Geller. Every little bit helps!

"In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man."

If only everyone thought this way.

On my way to breakfast on Sunday, I ran into a leftist thug wearing *a Hizb'allah t-shirt*.

The shirt had the ugly green-on-yellow logo and Arabic lettering. I thought it was possible—unlikely, but possible—that this idiot didn't realize what he was wearing.

So I asked him if he was a supporter of Hizb'allah—he hemmed and hawed a bit, and said he didn't support everything, blah, blah...

I asked him if he realized that they were brutal terrorists who attacked civilians, and he instantly went off on a rant that "Americans are the real terrorists".

This is, I believe, thankfully uncommon—but there are still plenty of decent but clueless Westerners who believe the crap about the "poor Palestinians".

Still, my run-in with this ugly tool shows some of what we are up against.

I can't contribute much, but I'll be sending off a check to Jihad Watch today.

Paleologos, I agree with your post.

One request, though: consider using "all caps" more judiciously. One or two passages in caps, in italic, or bolded adds emphasis; as does an exclamation mark or two—an entire post in caps and multiple exclamation points looks like a rant, no matter how measured the prose itself.

How is urging people to support the civilized Israelis "hate speech"?

Using tired slogans is not the same as making a reasoned argument.

DoI, are the following statements "hate speech" in your opinion?

"Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures. "

"For the worst of beasts in the sight of Allah are those who reject Him: They will not believe. "

Hi there! I have been on this ite for a while now and I do not remmeber seeing you here. however that siad, your statement about Bloomberg is reckless to say the least. do you live or work in NYC? I do. what Bloomberg has done for this city and its people are miracle. Koch did not do Jack s... while Rudy did a lot to clean up the city, Bloomberg has taken NYC to be one of the finest and first class cities on earth. while I think I know where you are coming from in terms of Bloomberg supporting the Park 51 mosque, and I am assuming this is your greivence with him, you should be proud of him. this is America and here is separation of church and state. the last thing we need is for an elected offical to tell people where or where not to build a musque, a church, a temple or any other religious establishmnet. when that day comes that is when freedom of speech is in the shithole and we might as well all move to saudi arabia. it should be with our efforts and sites like this, that we confront the advancement of the islamists and the jihadists, not by the elected officials.
Hope you are well.

You know the fact that Morsi is now president of Egypt means that soon more rockets and amunition can be send to Hamas. When Assad falls chemical and maybe even bio weapons will be sold to Hamas. All political parties in Palestine should unite. Egypt should open the Rafah border crossing fully and allow weapons to go into Gaza. East Jeruaselem, Gaza, the Westbank, Rammalah etc along with all the Muslims living in the zioinist controlled areas should unite and form a Palestinian armed forces with a land army, navy and airofrce. If the western puppets in Jordan and especially Saudi Arabia fall during the Arab spring this ultimate millitary force can be created and funded. The main purpose of such millitary would be to liberate Palestine.

This ad is a bad idea. Although I agree with its point, many will compare it to the "white man vs. Indian" genocide and garner a lot of sympathy in the process. Sympathy that in this case is undeserved, yet the ambiguity of the ad will justify it (to many) by extension.

a "musque", really?

"a church, a temple or any other religious establishmnet."

Bloomberg is an idiot, and wouldn't recognize the islamic threat if it took a dump on his nose.

islam is an anti-western ideology masquerading as a religion, and has wanted to conquer the world ever since lying rat bastard mohammad, circa 750 A.D., infested this earth, and dreamed up islam.

Read "America Alone" by Mark Steyn, and when you are finished reading that, we can have an informed discussion.

I am taking by posting this video, you mean you have had or still do have a box seat at yankee stadium. BTW we have 4 legend seats at yankee stadium. on a separate note when I first came to states in 1976 I have never seen a basball game before! it is not in my blood. that said some of my best friends are retired major league baseball players. I will tell you a funny story here: I went to Mickey Mantles restaurant here in the city about 5 years ago for a surprise Bday party of a retired Mets player whose bat is in the baseball hall of fame and who was instrumental in taking the 1969 Mets to victory. I am sure you know that series. I was having a few driks with Rod Gilbert, the iconic NY Ranger player. after a few drinks he started saying: Phil plays a mean Hormonica!!! Phil, is Phil Lintz who played for the yankess in the 60's and he too was there. suddenly and jokingly the retired yankess players and their retired Mets player friends were at each other, but in a good way and a fun way. I could not figure out what was going on and finally asked Rod what was going on. apparently the Yankess had just lost a game and Yogi berra was theri coach. they were on a bus going to another game and Phil was sitting in the back of the bus with Mickey Mantle. Mickey was a jokester! Phil was playing Merry had a little lamb on his Harmonica. Yogi got up and told him don't play it! Phil did not hear it and Yogi siad agin don't play it! so for the third time Yogi got up screaming at Phil stop playing the Harmonica. Phil did not undesrstand what Yogi said and he asked Mickey: what did he say? and Mickey replied he siad play it louder!!! Yogi came back and took the harmonica and tossed it out of the window and got fired the next day!! I thought you would enjoy this!! we are all here on this site, because we have recognized the demon that Islam is and evil that the Islamists and the Jihadsts are. the fact that Bloomberg is in bed with Muslim supramacisists while true is besides the point. the minute an elected official is telling us what to do and waht not to do, is the day that we are in deep shit!! so Bloomberg's statement and insistence that people have the right to build a house of woreship where they want is exactly in line with our constitution. otherwise before you know it, those same elected officials will tell gays and lesbians in this line, blacks in that line, jews here, catholics there and so on... this practise is common in the muslims countries such as Iran that I just got back from this saturday. so we do not need that here. I hope I have been clear.

When articles such as this make reference to legal judgements, I do wish they'd provide a link to the actual judgement. For those interested, the judgement can be found here.

Is it really necessary to use the word "savage"? Kind of defeats the point, it seems to me, as if what was being said was that the enemies of Israel are barely able to think, and can't really be held responsible for their actions.

"Fanatic" seems more to the point to me. Or perhaps even "fascist".

Good sized check on the way,

Hi, Paleologos! Thanks for your reply.

You have to appreciate a Muslim so illiterate that he cannot spell "Inshallah" correctly. The rest of the post is just as bad.

But the rest is typical Muslim supremacism.

Notice that "D" is completely dispensing with any trace of Taqiyya here—this is just straight-up gloating over the bellicose intentions of the Muslim Brotherhood towards Israel.

And notice, as well, that "D" isn't talking about any sort of "two-state solution" here—not even on an interim basis. Instead, he openly calls for *the complete destruction of Israel*.

Note, also, that he matter-of-factly considers Muslims living in Israel to be a solid fifth-column, and not citizens of Israel in any manner. Moreover, he is likely largely correct on this point.

As for the "Palestinians" forming a navy and an "airofrce", that is just laughable—but unfortunately, we have already foolishly armed what is now a Muslim Brotherhood state, so this may well be a moot point.

In any case, "D" proves the accuracy of the ad that Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller have attempted to place on the MTA—if anyone exemplifies the savage, it is him in this post.

miriam,

"I am taking by posting this video, you mean you have had or still do have a box seat at yankee stadium."

No, you (can I call somebody a horse's ass out here?)

"BTW we have 4 legend seats at yankee stadium. on a separate note when I first came to states in 1976 I have never seen a basball game before!"

I don't give a rat's ass about your Yankee Stadium seating arrangements. No kidding you never saw a baseball game before, muslims only have one orginal sport ... "kick the head of the infidel down the road".

This is not about how the islam's learn to play sports.

"it is not in my blood. that said some of my best friends are retired major league baseball players. This is not about how much internet sports trivia you can dig up, you islamic moron. (Just wondering if that isn't a redudancy.)

This is all about the worldwide cancer known as islam, all the brain dead followers of muhammad, his goofball ideology, and the sacrosanct esteem given to the most vile document ever written by an imbecile, the koran.

Again, and for the last time, read "America Alone" by Mark Steyn, and stop polluting Mr. Spencer's website with your unending bullshit.

Hey, Paleologos,

Let up on Miriam. He, unlike you, is a long-time poster here and is as anti-islamist as the rest of us, if not more so because he is an apostate and his son is a marine, serving the US military, in both Afghanistan and now, I believe, in Yemen.

Yes, Miriam sometimes has a difficult time getting his point across, but I suspect that is due to his imbibing in his beloved Scotch, and too many cigars.

Save your vitriolic venom for trolls like "D" and defenderofislam.

Ima

Ima,

I have been posting here longer than the both of you combined.

I will attack muslim bullshit out here whenever I see it, actually anywhere I see it.

It's not vitriole, just the truth.

I've never seen you until today, and I am on here daily. And if you were truly such an adamant poster, then you would know Miriam as well as I and the many other posters do. As I said before, Miriam is a muslim apostate, so save your "truth" for those who truly deserve it.

Ima

Ouch!

Paleologos *is* a longtime poster, although he sometimes goes for stretches where he doesn't comment much.

I discovered Jihad Watch back in 2006 or so, and Paleologos was already posting then.

As for miriam rove, he is also a staunch Anti-Jihadist, and offers a unique perspective as a former Muslim. And yes, his son serves in the US armed forces, and has been posted to some of the worst centers of violent Jihad.

I like miriam's posts and consider them useful, but I believe he is *way* off-base here. It is one thing to recognize religious freedom in the United States, it is quite another thing for Bloomberg to have vocally supported the nasty supremacist Ground Zero Mosque. Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller were right to have opposed the Mosque.

Anyway, Paleologos, Ima Freeman, and miriam rove *all* generally have excellent Anti-Jihad "cred" here.

As I highly respect your opinion, gravenimage, I humbly defer to your comment and welcome Paleologos's comments and look forward to his/her input in the future.

Ima

Youssef,

I went to the link you posted, and here is the conclusion from that article -- a conclusion I have long thought was correct about Christ's teachings, and am happy to see confirmed:

Conclusion

Jesus teaches that the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Caesar are different and distinct. He did not purpose to reestablish the theocratic kingdom of Israel (Acts 1:6-7). The episodes with John the Baptist and the soldiers and Jesus and the centurion confirm the division between the government and the church. Neither John nor Jesus denounces the military.

Under the direction of a just government, the military has a place in the world. It uses the sword to bring justice when people go astray or to protect the innocent. The government may wage a just war with an army or impose the peace by law enforcement.

The events in the Garden of Gethsemane and the commands of Jesus there also confirm the separation between the state and the church. The events teach the apostles nonaggression. He said to Peter: “For all who draw the sword will die by the sword” (Matt. 26:52). It is not the church’s mission, as an institution, to muster out a militia or army to bloody people with swords.

Yet, the two swords in Luke 22:36-37 were real, and it could be argued that they were used for self-defense of individuals while the disciples made their way back to Galilee and lived there for a time. Then they may have kept the swords as they moved back to Jerusalem and eventually scattered to the known world, preaching the gospel.

Therefore, an individual Christian today may own a weapon to defend his home, for example. But he must obey the law and avoid vices like machismo and recklessness. Also, he owns a weapon privately. He does not officially represent the church as an institution in his ownership; he is a citizen of society.

Alternatively, a Christian is certainly free not to own a weapon. The New Testament offers a choice and therefore freedom.

However, self-defense for an individual is not the same as the church raising an army to stamp out heresies and nonbelievers. The church and the government are not the same. Rather, the church, by its nature and purpose, is commanded to exhort, teach, guide, and counsel the government about the ways of God. The church exists to save souls, teach believers, and help the needy in practical ways, not to bloody and kill people with swords.

So we must follow the New Testament teaching on the separate kingdoms of God and of Caesar. Then we will have clarity.

In other words, Christ's teachings forbid Christians to use force to compel or spread Christian belief. Christians, if obeying Christ, may use force at most only to defend themselves or others against physical aggression. Religious figures may speak, exhort, and criticize the state, but should have no state power (except such as any citizen possesses). Religion and state are to be distinct realms, neither one dominating the other.

gravenimage,

hahahahahaha .............. you must have located some of my old posts!

Did a damn better job of it than I did!

Thanks!

R/

Paleo

Thank you so much, Ima. I'm not trying to present myself as some sort of "final word", so I really appreciate your vote of confidence here.

miriam rove implies that Bloomberg remained neutral about the Ground Zero Mosque, in the spirit of not wanting to interfere with religious freedom.

However, on Jihad Watch a couple of years ago, Spencer published this report from Pam Geller, which indicates that Bloomberg went to great lengths to interfere -- in favor of the slithering snake Imam Rauf and his project:

"Highly improper": NYC Mayor Bloomberg's office helped Ground Zero Mosque project gain city approval

Pamela Geller notes: "The release today of documents, emails and various exchanges between Mayor Bloomberg and radical Rauf and his motley crew of Islamic supremacists shows evidence of collusion and inappropriate political support/favoritism of the Ground Zero mega mosque. It's worse than we imagined. Mayor Bloomberg's offices went to extraordinary lengths for the radicals trying to build a mega mosque at Ground Zero -- even writing a letter to the community board for them, newly released documents show....The records of communication between the Office of the Mayor and Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf concerning the Cordoba Initiative's proposed Cordoba House project show that the Mayor, on more than one occasion, improperly collaborated with Rauf and co."

And then Spencer reported more along those lines:

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/12/highly-improper-nyc-mayor-bloombergs-office-helped-ground-zero-mosque-project-gain-city-approval.html

Then, in another JW report, we find that Bloomberg objected even to the idea of investigating the mosque. Investigating is not stopping it; it's just trying to find out for the public good whether there's anything that should concern the public.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says it would be un-American to investigate a mosque that is planned for construction near where the World Trade Center once stood.

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/07/bloomberg-investigating-islamic-supremacist-mega-mosque-at-ground-zero-would-be-un-american.html

And miriam rove would do well to read, and heed, the words of Hugh Fitzgerald, who wrote here on Jihad Watch about Bloomberg:

Mayor Bloomberg has spent most of his life making money, and now has spent the last decade or so, with the selfsame single-mindedness, acquiring political power. And he's quite happy with that. He's content with his life, and his understanding of things. And he's also content to think that he has no responsibility to others - the others whom he claims to be able to instruct in what constitutes the American Way. His banal adoration turns rather toward what are really two recent Idols of the Age, Diversity and Tolerance, both of them in a diseased modern form. Upon their twin altars he would readily sacrifice the real United States, a country with real people and not abstractions, people who will stand with Justice Jackson in declaring that the Constitution is not a suicide pact--surely one of the most memorable formulations in American Constitutional history - and who are not sentimentalists, as Michael Bloomberg so self-evidently is, and who will not put up with this powerful but ignorant man who gives no sign of having studied, even in the most rudimentary fashion, Islam. He gives no sign of understanding the aims of Islam, or rather of Jihad. He does not know the province and function of the Mosque, which is hardly limited to that of being, as Bloomberg so naively puts it, just one more "House of Worship." In many countries in Western Europe, in these houses of worship plots have been laid. In these houses of worship fiery sermons hurling abuse at the Infidels, especially Jews, and the local Infidels, whoever they might be, have been known to be delivered as the khutba during Friday prayers. In these mosques the police forces of many nations have found weapons, explosives, false papers in false ceilings. In these mosques the texts of Islam that call for killing the Unbeliever, striking terror in the heart of the Unbeliever, are not ignored, for they cannot be ignored. It is practically impossible to deliver a sermon that will not be instinct with hatred for the Infidel.

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/08/fitzgerald-the-mosque-mayor-bloomberg-and-the-obligation-of-good-faith-fair-dealing-and-best-efforts.html

Ah, I see that in fact miriam rove apparently did read that Fitzgerald essay two years ago. The first comment there:

Author Profile Page miriam rove | August 10, 2010 11:45 AM | Reply

hugh: once again I woudlike to say that this mosque should not be built. as for Bloomberg goes, he is not your run of the mill politicians. I agree with 100% the the goverment should stay out of this.

So if miriam rove was against the mosque, why support Bloomberg? As noted above in Geller's piece, Bloomberg didn't "stay out of it" -- he positively meddled in favor of Rauf.

As Geller elsewhere put, pithily:

While I agree that that the government should keep its big fat nose out of religion (separation of mosque and state), I do not agree that the Mayor should publicly take one side if he really believes government should stay out of it.

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/05/geller-mayor-bloomberg-submits-sanctions-911-mega-mosque.html

Plenty of other facts about Bloomberg to prove Fitzgerald's depiction of him as a bloated rich idiot about Islam effectively, though his anxiously PC MC fear of "bigotry", aiding and abetting the stealth jihad. Here's one more:

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has on his New York City Human Rights Commission the CAIR lawyer Omar Mohammedi. Mohammedi was appointed to the Commission in October 2002.

Mohammedi represents several organizations that are the defendants in a 9/11 lawsuit. One is the World Assembly for Muslim Youth (WAMY). About WAMY Lorenzo Vidino reports:

[...] the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), a Saudi nongovernmental organization...seeks to spread Wahhabism, the radical and intolerant Saudi interpretation of Islam, throughout the world with its literature and schools. WAMY, which falls under the umbrella of the Muslim World League, has the stated goal of "arming the Muslim youth with full confidence in the supremacy of the Islamic system over other systems." It is the largest Muslim youth organization in the world and can boast unparalleled resources. In 1991 WAMY published a book called Tawjihat Islamiya (Islamic Views) that stated, "Teach our children to love taking revenge on the Jews and the oppressors, and teach them that our youngsters will liberate Palestine and Al-Quds [Jerusalem] when they go back to Islam and make jihad for the sake of Allah." The sentiments in Tawjihat Islamiya are the rule rather than the exception. Many other WAMY publications are filled with strong anti-Semitic and anti-Christian rhetoric.

Moral of the Story to miriam rove:

Don't spout off about things until you investigate further.

We need more than ads.

We need **rallies and demonstrations and marches** in support of Israel - big ones. Now, before the Mohammedans try anything really big and Israel responds and the usual UN lynch mob starts howling and the 'Kill the Jews' chants are heard on the streets all over the West.

Let's get in first.

I wouldn't begin to know how to organise this sort of thing. I'm not a terribly practical person. Just running a household is about as much as I can handle.

But I can turn up to a march and wave a banner or hold up a placard or hand out leaflets, if somebody else organises it.
