Oh, until I got into the taqiyya and kitman thing, I was going to say, Maj. Nidal Hasan, knew he was a Muslim when he went into the military. He was a Muslim when he took his military service oath. Maj. Hasan has taken the benefits of the military (going to medical school while in the service), and the perks. Maj. Hasan is still in the service and receiving full military pay. Which I think is a crock of sh**, since this happened in 2009 and he was caught committing the murders.

Deceit was certainly one motive for this. Hasan could not have moved freely around Ft. Hood sporting a full beard. In fact, his superior officers would have compelled him to shave well before it ever got to that point.

But their is another factor, as well—Jihadists who assume they are going to be "martyred" often shave not just their beards but their entire bodies in expectation of entering paradise after "killing and being killed in the way of Allah".
