NATO in denial, says only 10% of attacks by Afghan security personnel on NATO troops are "related to the insurgency"

The last attack was by a man who had been in the Afghan Local Police for five days. How likely is it that he became so aggrieved in that short period of time that he started shooting as soon as he received his weapon? NATO leaders are trying to fool us, or themselves, into not seeing what a disaster the Afghan mission has become.

(CNN) -- NATO says the majority of attacks by Afghan security forces against coalition troops are driven primarily by personal grievances rather than an infiltration by insurgents.
"Some 10% we know are related to the insurgency," Brig. Gen. Gunter Katz, a spokesman for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, said late Friday.

The news follows word that U.S. Marine Gen. John Allen, commander of NATO troops in Afghanistan, ordered all troops in the country to carry loaded weapons around the clock following a spate of attacks by people wearing Afghan security uniforms, a U.S. official with direct knowledge of the order told CNN.

Allen's order, made in recent days, was divulged amid two more so-called green-on-blue or insider attacks Friday.

There have been a record 31 such attacks this year that have resulted in the deaths of 39 NATO service members, according to a report Friday on NATO's official online video channel.

Coalition steps up fight against Afghan 'green-on-blue' attacks

The British Ministry of Defence, meanwhile, said Saturday that a British soldier was killed "by enemy action" Friday while on sentry duty in Helmand province in the south.

The death was not related to a green-on-blue attack, said Maj. Martyn Crighton, an ISAF spokesman. He did not release details about the attack or the nationality of the service member killed.

Troops in Afghan combat situations have always been armed, while only security forces have been regularly armed at the headquarters bases.

Under Allen's order, troops regardless of their tasks will now carry loaded weapons, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity....

That they weren't doing so already is an immense scandal.

Gen Allen, USMC, has failed in his role as ISAF commander and should be dumped. Local area commanders (US Army) have probably told their men to carry guns already.

Still more than a year for our American soldiers to go through this "personal stuff". Because the pullout date was arbitrarily set for early 2014, we are stuck there till then. Hundreds more of our American soldiers will be killed and thousands maimed - FOR NOTHING. Not to mention that we will waste another $200 BILLION of our tax dollars - FOR NOTHING. For the war has already been lost, and neither the US nor NATO can do enything about. Another torturous, disasterous one-and-a-half years before we at long, long, long last will reach the end ... OR WILL WE?
Vietnam left us alone the second we left Vietnam alone, but here we are dealing with a totally different enemy. The US retreat in defeat from Afghanistan will embolden Islamic Jihadis everywhere to escalate jihad on the US and Europe. They will not leave us alone. After Reagan ran away from Beirut in early 1984, HEZBOLLAH, AND PFLP, AND PFLP - GENERAL COMMAND, AND, FINALLY al-Qaida CREATED by our own CIA pursued the Americans into Europe, Arabia, Africa, and into the US itself, culminating in the 9/11 attacks. History will repeat itself after the US flight from Afghanistan. The jihadis will run us all the way to our porch, and off our porch, and into our house, and will murder us in our own living room. With REAL WMD's now falling into the hands of the jihadis, it can end up far worse than 9/11.
A great farsighted man tried to guide us away from getting into this disaster. On February 7, 2002, Ariel Sharon flew to the US with a message for president George W. Bush: "Please do not go into Iraq! Please bomb Iran from the air instead!". Ironically, if instead of blundering into Iraq the US bombed much stronger Iran, our losses in life and treasure would be much lighter, because the mission would be more clear-cut, a decisive victory would be swiftly achieved, and the grave threat of Global Nuclear Jihad would be eliminated. And with Iran wrecked, Afghanistan would be manageable, especially if the US had the basic common sense to turn for advice to great General Sharon, a genius in eradicating insurgencies and terrorism. When I read the Chapter 18, "Two Terrors" of "Warrior", the great man's autobiography, it kept me in continuous "Wow" state. In just 7 months, Sharon had eliminated the brutal PFLP, that kept the entire Western world in fear and servitude, from Gaza. Tragically for Israel, jealous leftist Israeli generals demanded Sharon's removal from Gaza. Worse had soon followed, with sociopath Clinton and Norwegian sociopaths pushing Israel bloody "peace processes". Bloody Camp David. Bloody Oslo. Giving Gaza back to terrorists. When Sharon returned as Prime Minister, all his good works in Gaza had been ruined, and Gaza was the launching pad of murderous attacks on Israeli civilians. Still, Sharon had assassinated the top Hamas commander Salah Shehadeh, its leader Ahmed Yassin, Yassin's successor Abdel-Aziz al-Rantissi and his deputy Ismail Abu-Shanab. This set off a shrill hysteria by the cowardly Western democracies, terrified that Sharon "was making the Muslims too mad". The abominable Western media immediatelly joined in, the English and Norwegian media being the worst of the worst of the worst. That was a hate campaign rivaling that against the Serbian people by the very same sociopaths.
And yet, at that very same time, Sharon passionatelly tried to save our US from a horrible blunder. A full week before his visit to the White House, he had sent his entire security cabinet ahead of himself. For a full week, the Israelis delivered superb, easy-to-understand, "fool-friendly" Power-Point presentations at the White House, the US State Department, the CIA and the Pentagon, presenting a brilliant case for avoiding the Iraq quigmire and waging an air war on Iran instead:

To no avail. Even as Sharon's plane was touching down at the Dulles International Airport in Washington DC on February 7, 2002, word went around the White House, State Dept., CIA and Pentagon personnel: Oppose everything Sharon suggests Re: bombing Iran as opposed to military action against Iraq. Even if it does not make any sesnse to oppose, oppose anyway. Oppose, oppose, oppose.
One opposes Sharon at his peril. Baby Bush and his camarilla had failed to realize that they are privileged to meet the greatest man in the world of our time. And they threw his precious advise away into garbage. With disasterous consequences for our United States of America.
Instead of listening to Sharon, Bush, Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice would soon go Clinton on him, with their own bloody "Road Map" "peace process". With the rabid global hate campaign against Israel by the Muslims and their cowardly Western dhimmi-groupies raging, and with the Bush Gang getting in his face, Sharon gave up. Just to get the cowards out of his face, he had "ethnically cleansed" his own Jewish people out of Gaza and gave Gaza to the terrorists. This is how the tragic "disengagement" happened. It is no accident that Sharon picked August 14, 2005 for it, which that year happened to be Tisha Be'Av, the date when both Jerusalem Temples were destroyed, and other great tragedies of the Jewish people happened.
This was not the only treason against Israel by the US and Europe. Even worse treasons were committed by earlier presidents, Republican and Democrat. Far worse. And the enemies of Israel heavily infesting the CIA, the US State Dept. and the top ranks of the US military have been even worse than the presidents. They relentlessly betrayed Israel to its Muslim enemies out of base, primitive anti-Semitism, out of greed, being on the pay of the oil-rich Muslim Arabs and the US oil companies allied with them, out of cowardice. All kinds of wrong people in high-powered positions in the US government and industry, for all kinds of wrong reasons did their damnest to cause Israel harm. The US and European treasons are described in detail in the book "The Secret War Against the Jews" by John Loftus and Mark Aarons. But even that book does not tell all. I know evil US treasons against Israel that the book does not mention. Under the surface of outward "friendship" between the US and Israel, there were many Munich treasons by the US and Europe against Israel. And Israel had survived all those Munichs only because it proved to be more resilient than Czechoslovakia. But great damage was done to Israel, and in the process, the Western demicracies had inflicted a great damage on themselves. The US is now exausted and demoralized, totally broke and in a $15 TRILLION debt it will never get out of. And Iran, by far the worst terrorist nation in the world, is about to acquire the nuclear bomb.
THIS is the result of decades of treason against Israel by the Western democracies. ALL of Israel's wars were cut short by the cowardly West. Excellent chances of a clear-cut, WWII-style victories over the Muslim agressor in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1982 and 2006 had been ruined by the West. The Global Jihad could have been set back in any of those wars. All that was required of the Western democracies was to stand firmly by Israel's side. Stand by the side of Zionism. And they failed to do so. This is why we have all this mess and disaster in the world now.
This is still the only way left for the Western world to survive: unite around Israel. Unite in Zionism. If it is still not too late.
