North Carolina: Muslims who plotted attack on Marine base get lengthy sentences

Boyd is yet another convert to Islam who misunderstood his new, peaceful religion. Yet no Muslim group in the U.S. has any program in place to try to keep converts from misunderstanding Islam in this way. How odd!

NEW BERN, N.C. — More than three years after their arrests, the Johnston County leader of a local terrorist cell and one of the cell members were sentenced Friday to federal prison for plotting to wage jihad on targets they saw as enemies of Islam.
Daniel Patrick Boyd, who pleaded guilty about 18 months ago to conspiring to provide material support to terrorists and conspiring to murder, kidnap, maim and injure persons abroad. Since then, he has cooperated with the government to convict his followers, received an 18-year sentence.

Anes Subasic, who was the last member of the group convicted when a jury found him guilty in June of the same charges, was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

They were among eight men who federal investigators say raised money, stockpiled weapons and trained in preparation for jihadist attacks against American military and foreign targets. Seven of them were arrested in July 2009.

The eighth member of the group, Jude Kenan Mohammad, has never been arrested. Authorities said they believe he is in Pakistan, although some people have suggested he is dead.

Boyd was apologetic upon hearing his sentence, which also included a $3,000 fine, in the federal courtroom in New Bern.

"That was not me. That was something I allowed myself to become. Please, everyone, as best you can, forgive me," he said.

The 42-year-old said he grew up in a home where his father often criticized the U.S., and he said the stress from family and health issues later allowed him to fall into extremism.

"That very American spirit inside of me pushed me to do what is correct," he said of his cooperation with prosecutors. "There is never a wrong time to do the right thing."

Subasic, 36, of Holly Springs, took the opposite tack, erupting in the courtroom when his sentence was announced.

The Bosnian native represented himself in the case, presented 200 pages of objections during a four-hour hearing and screamed at Senior U.S. District Judge Louise Flanagan and federal prosecutors.

"I'm not guilty. I'm not a terrorist. I'm not Muslim. I can't repent for something I didn't do," he said, arguing that he was convicted by witnesses who lied and flimsy government evidence.

"I have nothing to do with it. This is stupid and retarded," he said.

When prosecutors suggested a life sentence for Subasic, he yelled, "How about two life sentences?"

Flanagan called Subasic a "bully" with a "grandiose sense of self-importance." In addition to his prison sentence, she fined him $1,000 and ordered him to undergo a mental health evaluation while behind bars.

Last September, Subasic also was found guilty of two counts of unlawful procurement of citizenship.

Boyd's two sons, Dylan and Zakariya, pleaded guilty last summer and were sentenced to eight and nine years in prison, respectively.

Hysen Sherifi, Mohammad Omar Aly Hassan and Ziyad Yaghi were convicted in a trial last fall. Sherifi, whose charges included plotting an attack on the Marine base in Quantico, Va., received a 45-year prison sentence, while Yaghi was sentenced to more than 31 years in prison and Hassan received a 15-year sentence.

Subasic, one of at least a dozen Bosnians and Kosovar Albanians who came to the US to kill Americans. To reward them for fighting jihad for them and murdering Serb Christians for them. And yet another Kosovar Albanian, Arif Uka, boarded a bus in Frankfurt, Germany last year, that was about to take US Air Force personnel to their plane at the airport, and opened up at them at point-blank range with a pistol. USAF, mind you, the very same ones who did the murdering of Serb men, women and children for him and other Muslims. He had enough bullets to massacre the entire bus load of the USAF personnel, but his pistol jammed, and this is why he killed "only" 2 of them.
The unspeakable evil the US, England and other Western democracies did unto the Serb Christians.

The Religion of Peace strikes again!

Or is Islam in reality not your typical religion at all, but instead the largest and most successful terroristic cult in all of human history? Courtesy of a depraved little madman named Muhammad... Hmmm...

We ex-Muslims living with Islam's formal and informal death penalty for apostasy know for certain that Islam is an evil religion/ideology both in part and on the whole.

Words can mean different things to different people. It is important to understand what people mean when they use a certain word. Just as the same word can mean different things in different times, it can also mean different things in different cultures. Islam does not mean peace. It means submission. The word “peace” for Muslims has a different meaning. Peace, according to Muslims, will be achieved when everyone submits to Islam. Muslims can’t offer peace. They can offer truce. In their minds, peace will be achieved only when you are subdued and they are the masters. Any other arrangement is not Islamic.

Muhammad divided the world in two sectors. One he called Dar us Salam (House of Peace) and the other, Dar al Harb (House of War). All countries, where Islam is not the ruling authority, are Dar al Harb. It is the duty of the Muslims to wage Jihad in Dar al Harb, overthrow the governments and force people into submission. This is the only kind of peace that Islam recognizes.

The concept of Islamic peace is expressed in the verse 002.193 of the Qur'an.

And fight them until fitnah is no more, and religion is for Allah.

What is fitnah? Fitnah means sedition, perfidy or mischief. In Islamic terminology it means resisting Islam or disbelief. For example this Faith Freedom.org site is fitnah.

All translators of the Qur'an have translated fitnah as oppression, tumult, persecution, etc. This is taqiyya. They have invariably lied to conceal the real meaning of the verse and fool the Western reader.

At the end of a certain article written to refute me, the Muslim author offers a prayer and asks Allah to “give all Muslims the strength to remain true to Your chosen path in the face of the fitnah inflicted upon us by the enemies of Islam.” I have no means of persecution. Clearly, fitnah means disbelief and criticizing Islam and not persecution.

When we say the objective of Islam is to force people into submission, it does not mean that you’ll be forced into conversion. It means that you’ll become a dhimmi, a subordinate to Muslims. You work and pay the Jizyyah, an extortion fee, to the Muslims who would treat you as second class citizen. They become the master race and you, their virtual slave and the source of their livelihood.

Narrated Juwairiya bin Qudama At-Tamimi:
We said to ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab, oh Chief of the believers! Advise us.” He said, “I advise you to fulfill Allah’s Convention (made with the Dhimmis) as it is the convention of your Prophet and the source of the livelihood of your dependents (i.e. the taxes from the Dhimmis.)

Hadith, Sahih Muslim, Book 004, Hadith #1062

Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon hlmg) said: I have been given superiority over the other prophets in six respects: I have been given words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning; I have been helped by terror (in the hearts of enemies): spoils have been made lawful to me: the earth has been made for me clean and a place of worship; I have been sent to all mankind and the line of prophets is closed with me.

The good news is that you can change your status by converting to Islam. So in a a very sarcastic sense, there is no compulsion in Islam. You convert “voluntarily”. But you are free not to convert by accepting subjugation, humiliation, discrimination and constant harassment. What can be more democratic?

This meaning of “peace” is understood by all the Muslims. However they know that the non-Muslims have a different understanding of this word. So, they deceitfully promote their religion as a religion of peace taking advantage of the fact that the root of both words Islam and Salam is slm. However one means submission and the other means peace.

... they will do their very best to start islamic terrorist cells wherever they are imprisoned. A HUGE PROBLEM that nobody wants to talk about. What race has emerged from slavery, and has risen to support this nation very admirably? Answer: Blacks ... but far too many blacks have embraced islam, and islamic instigators prey on the victimist sentiment held by some of these blacks. Sadly, there are a lot of blacks in american prisons, rightly or wrongly they are there. So you throw them in with these islamic knotheads, and you are brewing trouble.

... muslims in this country who have been convicted of plotting terror, along with all their converts, should be made to disappear. I mean in the sense that the CIA is fully capable of carrying out. This is a fight of self defense, just like The Crusades ... ahhhh, but wasn't Europe so much smarter then?

... otherwise, you will have the same phenomena occur that occurs with Gitmo islamers who get released, and turn up in the middle east, AGAIN, and resume killing our troops.
